9.7 Excellent
Pros: The best location! All the staff were very very friendly. The food was great and I felt really looked after. Would recommend to anyone, I'm definitely coming back!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel
Cons: AC in the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beach
Cons: Elevator on my building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First stay in Barbados and we had a wonderful time. Sugar Bay was a first class experience. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us. We will come back.
1.0 Poor
Pros: very nice helpful staff
Cons: The huge number of pidgeons in the eating areas. Most unhygenic. During the daytime it was like a Hitchcock film. I will never return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very well run property. The staff go about their merry way in a positive, friendly and professional way. The food is excellent and the range plentiful. This is one hotel that truly cares about customer satisfaction. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back in a heartbeat.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful stay superb birthday. I could not speak highly enough about the staff. The customer service is consistent from the guys at the beach Romian to bar man Marion .The lovely professional waitress big warm hearts and big smiles Kay,Sonja, Lovely Mya, Beverley, Tanisha,Lasonta,Shenika. I will definitely come back and reccomend this resort . I see why other guests l have met keeps coming back.
Cons: There was nothing not to like about the resort.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room appeared to be recently remodeled. We had the last room oceanfront top floor (3rd) room, furthest from the bar and restaurant. I don't think that we could have a better room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. All of the staff was terrific and friendly, but there were a few standouts (Shamia - Can do wonders with the limited options beyond Rum, Cheryl Ann- Ready to make your dining experience effortless and Darian on the beach at the right time with just the right drink!)
Cons: I would have appreciated knowing that the parliament building and its museum were closed on Tuesday. The shuttle to Bridgetown was offered by the hotel on Tuesday and Thursday, but no indication that the only thing to do in town would be Duty-Free (which is no financial value to anyone in the US). A waste of 4 hours.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The customer service at this hotel was great. Truly loved the Manager Michelle! She did everything from book us a tour for Harrison Cove, made us drinks call Bob Marley which were excellent , to giving us a small history lesson about Barbados. The food at the hotel is really good, especially lunch and dinner. You have a small private beach but are in walking distance to a larger beach with white sands and crystal clear blue water. I would definitely highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a higher end boutique experience.
Cons: Kitchen closes early, so if you miss the allocated time slots to eat, you might have to leave the hotel to get some food. No clock or bathrobes in the rooms. Also it is an all inclusive hotel but they give you an empty fridge in your room. It would have been nice if they would have stocked the fridge with juices, waters, small bottles of wines and liquors.

Pros: The lovely staff
7.0 Good
Pros: Great view from room. Nice pools and beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: At times service was slow or non-existent. You may need to push - I am still waiting for my food/drink e.g. Every 15 mins or so
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location, handy for airport and Cruise Port. Very friendly staff. Bar meal selection excellent (staff very attentive about partner's coeliac disease).
Cons: Hotel was expensive. We book-ended a cruise with stays in the hotel and could have gone on another week's cruise for the cost of the stay in the Hilton.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire facility was nice and the staff was very helpful.
Cons: No
4.0 Okay
Cons: construction..would not have stayed if i had been informed..lots of noise at 8am....also fridge did not work...all in all a bad experience
9.1 Excellent
Pros: On water, private beach, full amenities, very comfortable.
Cons: Food prices were too high and they charge a service fee of 10% to every bill which is not the tip.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Fabulous pools and beaches.
Cons: Relatively small issues. First, there is a seaweed problem during the summer in Barbados. Rather than simply rake it every morning (or night), the Hilton chooses to ignore it. As a result, no one (or almost no one) used the beach.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice resort hotel on the beach. Lots of beach for walking. Good service. Very clean.
Cons: The bar was a little stuffy (average ventilation) but it opened into a beautiful dining room (via a door), The Grill. Highly recommend the Grill.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: The beds were a nightmare. We called the hotel they told us there were two queen beds in each room they turned out to be full. They were old and very uncomfortable mattresses. The concierge desk was unfriendly.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, with nice view, beautiful beach near, very good breakfast.
Cons: Near the hotel wasn't eating places or restaurants, every evening we had to take a taxi to go to dinner.
6.0 Good
Pros: Beach
Cons: Food was ordinary

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: The bathroom could use some updating in the tub/shower area. Particularly at the seams. The plumbing was less than desirable. Seemed like you needed a minimum of 3 flushes. I was NOT impressed by the wait for clean towels/washcloths.

Pros: Love The Crane! Our third year in a row that we have visited The Crane. Love the staff, the facility and the location. The beach is lovely and the waves are beautiful.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and beach.
Cons: Room facilities too old and outdated, especially the garden furniture. Shower also very old and difficult to use. Construction works during day ruined rest at room. Food at restaurants also very poor. Certainly not worth the money charged.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We saved up for a family holiday to Barbados and I am so glad we stayed at the Crane. Firstly the staff are just amazing, they are all so friendly, caring and so welcoming. Huge thank you to everybody, especially Vivonne, Chaunte' (and the entire Guest Services team), Corey and especially to Rowana. If I get the chance to come back to Barbados I will definitely stay here again. The property is so clean and well-kept. The scenery and beach are stunning and the apartment we stayed in was just amazing with the most beautiful ocean view. The choice of restaurants is great with delicious good and the local stores give everything that is needed. There are also some great characters on the beach such as Big Terry who I could talk to all day about cricket. The whole vacation felt like paradise
6.0 Good
Pros: The location of the property is very nice overlooking a cliff and its self contained.
Cons: The location of the property is very nice overlooking a cliff and its self contained. That being said the staff, although friendly, does not accommodate its guest fully. The service at the restaurants is very slow and the food, although tasty and presented well, is not to the caliber of other restaurants in near by locations (20-25 minutes away) Their are many good restaurants in Barbados (Champers, Primo-Pricey but very good) and the ones at The Crane do not compare to these other off premises fine restaurants) The only other complaint is the location. Although beautiful The Crane is far from everything and the nigh life ends at 10AM. Even though the bar plays music nightly till 10 once the music ends the wait staff rushes the checks to the table and expects everyone to leave. This is in spite of the bar being open till 11:45. Again the lack of management is something that should be addressed by the properties management. At times we went to restaurants on the property and they were out of basic things (Mimosas or other staple foods)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful quiet location. Great rooms. Great facility.
Cons: The on site restaurants were not as good as the ones we went to in other areas of islands.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay with incredible views overlooking the cliffs and the water rushing in from below. Even though it is on the remote part of the island I would never stay anywhere else. The suite is wonderful having a full kitchen and washer and dryer plunge pool and the breathtaking view of the cliffs who could ask for more :-)
Cons: Only lukewarm water for your shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall amazing experience. Staff were excellent. Food was great.

Pros: The staff very good
Cons: The price of beer!
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I am a good traveler, I spend 6 months per year traveling around Latin America, Caribbean, Asia, Oceania, for work and for pleasure. I arrived to the hotel, they intermediately charged on my credit card the 70% balance for 5 nights and I haven't seen the room yet. They informed me that i was not located on the main building beside the beach, but on some small building crossing the street. it doesn't have any restaurant there. The apartment was very old, with a terrible odor, didn't have hot water, after many complains they moved me to main building on the second night, but dare to charge me US 37 more per night on top of the USD 360 that I have already paid per night. The new room was clean and comfortable but still very expensive. The breakfast is very expensive and poor, I decided second day to have breakfast at Courtyard Marriott that is just in front. They have supposed to offered and confirmed that will pick me up at the airport when i arrive, but no one showed up, when I called the hotel, no one have idea, I ended taking a taxi . When I when to reception on Sunday night ( about 7 pm) to check out as i need to leave on Monday at 4:00 am they told me they can give any invoice, because there is no one on the accounting department. I sent an email on Sunday night asking for the invoice and today Monday night i just got a reply that they will issue the invoice at some point .

7.0 Good
Pros: Going to Seabreeze for the day excursion. Comp breakfast was good.
Cons: The staff was generally friendly, however the night clerk who was working on my checkout Jan 18th, 2020, was incompetent in adding up my bill correctly and called me at midnight in my room to discuss it which I thought was inappropriate. He had to compute my bill twice and I have two print outside, he added tourism fund charges that I had not agreed to. The property was a bit noisy due to construction going on next door.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location Right on the beach Walking distance to the St. Lawrence Gap Helpful staff

Pros: This was a relaxing quiet locations.
6.7 Good
Pros: Everything about the hotel was acceptable Nothing was exceptional for a hotel at the price we paid.
Cons: Nothing was wrong with the property or staff. But Marriott advertise Silver Status will be given for any 10 day stay. So we stayed 10 days and received no status upgrade ! When we asked why they said because we booked through an agency. No warning about the upgrade being only for booking direct with Marriott. Be warned Offers from Marriott are subject to conditions that are not advised until after you have paid them and taken your stay. Then you will find out you would have been better off to have used other Hotels which is what we will do in future.

Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s location. Pleasant staff.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is located very near to a nice restaurant - BUZO
Cons: The price paid for the room was high due to seasonal pricing. The rooms were not what we booked - we did not get the KING w/ balcony. The sheets and towels were worn and thin. We simply felt the standard was below what one would expect for the price but you were somewhat held to ransom due to it being New Years Day. The hotel should be awesome throughout the year and it wasnt.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and courteous. Place is located perfect
Cons: I believe the staff can share more information to help us save. Had I known I could have paid half the price for the room to check out late I would not have book for 1 more night. Not nice

Pros: Property was gorgeous. Room fabulous with beautiful balconies and views; room and bath very comfortable and well appointed. Staff very accommodating at front desk and concierge. Beautiful beach, pools and gardens.
Cons: Could had used 2 extra pillows. Housekeeping after 1st night not great. Left dirty dishes from room service in room, sink and on balcony. Room service breakfast adequate but not very good.
7.0 Good
Pros: The restaurant by the beach and the beach facilities
Cons: The live music in the evenings was just too loud, very intrusive even with balcony windows closed it was too much. Not many seemed to be enjoying it yet it. Also strange variance in the staff, some lovely and friendly but one notable exception was the barman who was very aggressive and confrontational.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, in between Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. This hotel has the best staff and a very happy happy hour
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beachfront, nicely laid out, comfy, clean.
Cons: It does not protect the guests from taxi overcharging - the only country I've been to (and I've been to many) where taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is cheaper than from the hotel to the airport!! Taxi overall is expensive, and there are no cheaper alternatives for families. Ocean waves were all the time too choppy to swim. Hotel could use renovation.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room are large and clean, nice pool area and great beach
Cons: The staff was not so friendly. At checking the room was free from 5AM when we arrived (confirmed by the duty Manager), we received the room only at 12PM probably because they were trying to make us pay additional day for early check in. Also despite of the high price of the breakfast, we were requiring additional price to take the coffee with us from breakfast to the beach
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and efficient. Superb location. Excellent food.
Cons: No lift
8.8 Excellent
Cons: There are no elevators so those on higher floors had some exercise before reaching up. This would be difficult for elderly and physically challenged people

1.0 Poor
Pros: The hotel needs refurbishment, it’s very old. The choice of food is limited.
7.0 Good
Pros: Average for price
Cons: Wasn’t over impressed with the evening meals , pool depth was confusing even tho it was marked we did not understand the units. Used, Location of the hotel was a bit out of the way if one wanted to eat elsewhere you had to take a bus or taxi
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful especially the lady who helps with the tours. The restaurant staff and bartenders were very nice as well.
Cons: Wifi didn't work too well in rooms
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is good
Cons: WiFi was not worked well, I was connected to guest WiFi since I couldn't find hotel wifi inside the room and signal is getting dropped most of the time. Room didn't have basic necessities like coffee, water bottles, etc. The stay was definitely expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was A1.
Cons: The water heater system didn't seem to be working too well.
6.0 Good
Pros: rooms rundown but comfortable
Cons: nothing much to keep you entertained I spent more time at the bar at the Barbados beach club
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was decent and Cathy ran things very well. Pools were nice and clean and good temp, although one very deep and one very shallow, not ideal for my 7yo daughter who is learning to swim. Staff were all helpful and friendly even before we arrived with helpful email responses to questions. Food was good but basic. Young barman not very experienced at making cocktails so made the rum punch incredibly strong! Room was basic but clean and everything worked.
Cons: No pool or beach towels provided. Wi-fi was pretty weak and slow in our room at least. Hotel seems to be a place where airlines dump stranded passengers so lots of big groups of people coming and going every day.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room service was good, so too is the accommodation.
Cons: The day we arrived the lunch was good. the following morning for breakfast, my wife was served a glass of juice for $6.00. But it was not a glass but a plastic or some other material which had a crack at the bottom and the area where one would put their mouth was well pick up any and inspect and you will see. And the receptacle for the juice was small. The bfast was not good for $26.00. therefore we did not return. I must say it is difficult for me to appreciate why a restaurant who i imagine will like to get a good rating and will like guest to return, would serve your guest juice in such receptacle.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and rooms were clean
Cons: Somewhat hard to find.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was good to get in and out of the area
Cons: It was in good location.
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect for an overnight stay
Cons: Sight Outdated however this is reflected in the price great value for one night airport stopover I wouldn’t book as a vacation personally

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff were friendly and the location was good.
Cons: Overall we were disappointed with the accommodation. We had a hot water pipe burst at 10 pm, flooding our room and prompting our immediate removal to an even more disappointing room. The bed was not comfortable -it was 2 singles shoved together making one horribly uneven king size bed. The ac points directly at the bed, which would not be a problem if I had a blanket or could change the settings on the ac. So choose - freeze or cook. The property needs is outdated and in need of renovations.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location (beaches, super market, st Lawrence gap etc), courteous staff, nice pool.
Cons: Could have used a thicker blanket / duvet. There was only a thin sheet on top. (Should have asked front desk for one, I know. Only occurred to us later).
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located within close proximity to shops, banks and restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating both those at the front desk and the restaurant during my time from 16 to 18 February 2020. I’m so sorry that their names escape me at this time but they were the ladies at checkin and checkout, the gentleman at the front desk during my stay who was pleasant and helpful and the ladies at the restaurant.
Cons: The only thing is that the toilet in the room, once flushed, runs for about 8 mins before it settles down so it’s a bit noisy during that time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff. Small kitchen in room.
Cons: n/a
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Massy shop, coffee bean cafe, duty free shop, Mojo, Champers all of near the hotel. Worthing beach not far from hotel.
Cons: The kitchen is too small. The hotel do not provide the beach accessories (umbrella, armchair etc) and there isn’t possibility to rent it.
7.0 Good
Pros: The pool was fabulous. The cleaning staff do a great job. We found the atmosphere very friendly.
Cons: We were overcharged from what booking.com told us we would have to pay.And we were disappointed that the the restaurant and bar has such limited hours.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and attentiveness of the staff. Excellent value for the money!
Cons: Room was noisy - lots of traffic noise.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I LOVED everything about this 2-bedroom property with the exception of the walking distance from the guest house to the bus route. Heather is a very lovely lady, professional and courteous!!! She made the visit here even more welcoming! I would recommend this place to anyone, and as a matter of fact, I have made mention along with photos of the property on my Facebook posting! This home is IMMACULATELY CLEAN! Not one bug in sight, which is a major bonus to me!! Thank you so much Heather for your courteousness and professionalism, and we hope to see you again! All the best!
Cons: As mentioned, the only thing I did not like about the property, was the walking distance from the home to the main road to access the bus route. Although it is about 7-10 minutes walk, it can be discouraging having to walk back up a bit of a hill if you have groceries to carry! Other than that, I would have given a rating of 10, but I would definitely suggest renting a vehicle if possible, and would do so my next time visiting!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Heather was exceptional and very helpful. We were welcomed with a little something, some bread, butter, cookies and a bottle of water for everyone. This was very welcome after a long haul. The walking distance from the guest house to the main bus route was just right. Good to walk and you don't hear anything from the main street. The deposit was refunded without any delay.
Cons: a large number of air fresheners and their strong smell of lavender / rose / etc. sachets and plug-in fresheners. It helped a little that we collected all items from drawers and furniture to banish them outside. Anyway, after a few days, our son got an itchy rash that he had never had before. After moving to Long Bay, the rash quickly improved. Even the self-filled water from the tap has taken on the smell. Unfortunately, this wonderful house is therefore not suitable for allergy sufferers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, beautiful and quiet. The hostess is kind and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property.
Cons: There is nothing I can say that is negative about this property. This was my third stay at this location. The only negative thing I can say is that is it becoming so popular that I had to change my travel plans in order to get into the location as it is booking so quickly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole entire experience the apartment was a home away from home. Excellent value for money.

4.2 Okay
Pros: Location and the lady on reception, she was wonderful
Cons: Hotel rooms could do with a deep clean and also an upgrade. Breakfast was terrible, 2 staff sat in the restaurant having a call on speaker. Disappointed. Have stayed a few times before and also put up some of my staff there, however not again
8.0 Excellent
Pros: staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: needed more choice on the menu at the restaurant.
6.0 Good
Cons: Most staff were not friendly at all, they hardly spoke and the young girl in the restaurant (pool cafe) was very slow and rude. However Spa lady was lovely!
7.1 Good
Pros: Cheap, in St Lawrence Gap, walking distance to restaurants and beaches. Staff was very friendly
Cons: pool was small compared to pictures, Beach chairs could do with some cleaning. No night time activities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Access to many beaches, store down the street, range refrigerator microwave coffee pot. Fully equipped to make food and enough room for 2.
Cons: The prepaid breakfast was not well explained and for someone on a special diet there were not many choices. It would be better to alacart you meal for those reasons. As breakfast was our only scheduled meal at the property a very large group was there with buffet and it was confusing. We do not feel they staffed the restaurant adequately for this reason.
5.0 Okay
Pros: They did not provide coffee in the room. There were no washcloths, very minimal towels. It was advertised as seaside view so we didnt mind paying a little more, when we got there it was a garden view and the room needed much updating.
Cons: It was right near the ocean, staff was friendly, restaurant was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location right on the beach! Really nice swimming pool and very close walking distance to St Lawrence gap with lots of restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean.
Cons: The only caveat I have is the quality of breakfast and food generally. Food was expensive for the quality and not good quality neither well cooked.
7.0 Good
Cons: Bathroom was very dated

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was big and comfortable. Room was spacious.
Cons: No water pressure or hot water in bathroom. Staff tried to say it was a water company issue, however there was good water pressure in the kitchen. Staff did not have the information that breakfast was included. Had to get them a copy of my reservation email.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: We were put in a beach front room upon arrival and it was filthy and run down. The curtains had holes in them the floor was stained there was hair on the bathroom floor .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent, especially Heather. Good setting and very nice beach. Rooms comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Our room overlooked the car park and road. Just a little noise from the road early evening. Would go for a room overlooking the pool next time.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable
Cons: No microwave. Shower door could not be kept closed, all of the water was coming out on the bathroom floor. Telephone in the room not working. The door was squeaking every time opened. The kitchen garbage receptacle under the stove was too tall.
6.0 Good
Pros: Lunch and dinner at the Pure Ocean Restaurant were good.
Cons: Breakfast did not meet my expectations.
6.0 Good
Pros: The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The many return guests add to the “family” feeling which makes you want to come back. Free internet and a lovely beach. I enjoyed the beach restaurant and the happy hour was not to be missed.
Cons: Although the room was recently upgraded there were several poorly designed features, bathroom taps that were not out far enough to get your hands under, a fridge with the wrong swing door so you couldn’t reach inside. Awful chairs for deck uncomfor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else...The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful. The room was excellent it has in everything you would need for a relaxing stay.
Cons: My tv didn't have a tv guide so it was hard to choose something to watch. But otherwise there was nothing to dislike
7.0 Good
Cons: Very little water pressure in the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly atmosphere. The food. The manager's appreciation event.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: None at all.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We were served drinks upon checking in and the lobby staff served us drinks or water each day. The resort was conveniently located in walking distance to St, Lawrence Gap, a strip of bars, restaurants and lounges. There was also a convenience store on the walk to the Gap so you don't have to go all the way to the supermarket for small items. The rooms were nice and as pictured. The cleaning staff were thorough.
Cons: The mattress for the pull out couch was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I literally felt every single spring in that mattress. I left my vacation with back pain. The kitchen was stocked with glassware, plate and silverware but it was annoying that there were no paper towels to dry our hands and no sponge to clean the dishes ourselves. Also, it would have been nice if the pavilion by the pool was actually functioning. It looked like is used to be a bar/restaurant but it was not in use. We were able to sit at the tables under the pavilion but I was hoping for more activity and entertainment near the pool area. On the last day the power went out in some areas of the island and the hotel waited until it got dark on Monday evening to start handing out small candle lights and plug in a mobile generator for a light in the lobby. A resort of this size should definitely have a back up generator for situations like this. The resort would not even compensate us for the 1 day we were without power or hot water.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, with a great beach and plenty of restaurants, bars, music a short stroll away down St Lawrence Gap. I think this was my 3rd or 4th stay and the staff were great, especially Heather at the Front Desk who is very resourceful and a problem solver, Jaden at the Front Desk, Margaret the Operator, Kevin Cadogan at Pure Ocean and Denise, who cleaned the room.
Cons: Unfortunately I was unable to phone the front desk or access the internet for most of my stay. I think there should be an a la carte option at breakfast for those who don’t like big breakfasts or buffets where food is cold. Buildings near the beach could use some sprucing up and fresh paint.

Pros: Overall staff was really considerate and friendly. Stephanie, Trevon, Pierre and the bar staff were great (can't remember all the names). Great place if you're looking for peace and quiet from the city. The samosas were flaky and I loved them.
Cons: Although we were satisfied with the room, the cost per night was high

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The numerous nooks spotted throughout the property to welcome holiday reflection, and meditative like relaxation is sublime. Lush Quiet spaces, jungle pool and peacocks, are words that come to mind.
