Cons:I didn't like that I came to kayak to rent the car, then was redirected to another site which changed the dates that I was looking to rent a car. It's amazing when you show up to pick up a car and they don't have a reservation for you for a month. hertz would not change the reservation, told me I had to contact kayak. No one was at kayak or the other site I was redirected to at 8pm at night. I ended up having to rent a car at the airport on the spot, and never got reimbursed for my other rental. Highly dissatisfied. Will never use this site or hertz for any of my future needs.Reviewed 15 Oct. 2016

Pros:Drop-off was way better than pickup. He listened and was knowledgeable and professional, even though he was training a new employee. And super fast.Cons:There was a clean sticker on the door jam and the inside looked cleaned but doubt it was sanitized (due to other behavior). The windows had a lot of spray water spots (not dried after car wash) so visibility was hampered by car lights and sunshine. Had to stop and clean them. The rental agent wanted to charge extra for listing spouse, which we questioned, and then she said oh maybe we don't. There could be more transparency on fees, insurance, charges, customer service and information. Seems shady and like trying to pad the bill tactics. Just have clear and trustworthy info spelled out. Tire tread was very low and we had rain during most of the drive. Concerning. Reserved an intermediate car and could not see anything on the display screen like Auto Android or Google maps or Waze. This is 2020! Sheesh. And we could not get a simple answer on insurance, or the benefits or things to consider or why to choose your insurance. Very strange like we should not get Hertz ins. We will not rent from Hertz again. And it was $6+ more than the online reservation amount and no reason given when we asked.Reviewed 29 Sep. 2020

Good service for car pickup and drop-off. TerriblePros:Pick up and drop off was easy.Cons:The customer service rep I reached when I called directly was absolutely terrible. I originally called to try to use points. The amount of points she quoted was above my expectations. When I said that and was attempting to ask why or whether there were changes I could make to reduce the costs, she hung up without saying anything. No im sorry. No good bye. This has become pretty typical for Hertz but is now to the point worth stating in a review. I ended up buying through Kayak. I'm seriously considering changing preferred rental car companies as this has become a theme with Hertz.Reviewed 23 Jan. 2017

Cons:Arrived at 8:30am - the time of my reservation and there was no one in sight. Place was suppose to be open at 8:00 am. Had to call their phone number to get someone out of the back area. No full sized cars like I reserved. Only compact or an intermediate. However imtermediate car still needed cleaned the guy working there said I could wait 20-25 mins for him to clean it or take the compact. It was obvious that he did not want to clean the car. I didn't have 25 mins to wait and was forced to take the compact. Horrible customer service.Reviewed 22 Sep. 2017

Pros:last car was nice . everything worked.Cons:The first car had problems had to take it back to another hertz dealer. The second car had a problem with the heat that manage to fix it self. Then there was the price. because I have the flu and it was 15hrs. late I was charged 119.00 extra. And another thing the charge was alot because it was picked up in one state and dropped off in another. I had a car rented from Almo and cancelled it to drive my own car but after hitting a deer we had to rent this car. NEVER AGAIN. I WILL ALWAYS USE ALMOReviewed 5 Feb. 2018
