Kayak sold me an invalid insurance that was not licensed in Costa Rica leading me to believe the rental was about half the cost of what it ended up being.. had I known the cost up front, I would not have booked the reservation. The beginning of our trip felt like a scam and now I have to try and get a refund for invalid insurance. WATCH OUT FOR THIS SCAMReviewed 29 Apr. 2024

3:30 am drop off at Sky Harbor and no Hertz employees there to receive us. We just parked car in a slot and went to plane. I had to call Hertz to tell them where we parked it so i wouldn't get docked for being late.Reviewed 29 Apr. 2024

Terrible. Was unable to pick up car under l reservation bc I used a virtual Credit card and couldn’t present that same card physically. Hertz would not allow me to update the payment source on my reservation so I was forced to cancel and rebook as a walk up. Terrible.Reviewed 28 Apr. 2024

Initial Hertz rep didn't know what he was doing. Delayed our trip by 2 to 3 hours. Kayak, you have terrible customer service. There is no way to contact anyone. Pick up was easy. Free upgrade. The car was not explained to us and the manual was in Dutch so we couldn’t get answers on dashboard alarm. Tried calling Hertz and no one picked up.
