Very Disappointing Experience

The room was clean.

Was told that I had to pay a $50 deposit upon check-in. I have never had this request before and was uncomfortable with it. If I had not pre-paid, I would have walked out at that point. The check in staff was going to make a photocopy of my credit card until I stopped them. This is not a very secure way of doing business. Poor value for price. Not a great part of town. At night, the office is closed, but there is a strange glass window that the employee sits behind. Seems kind of sketchy! Was asked to pay $20 to check in early. Seems a bit excessive.

could keep smokers fromrooms area

Location is ideal. Staff nice and great service.

They let peopl smoke outside the rooms and in front of the lobby at breakfast time. Stairs had lots of smoke ash and had to take breakfast to room so I do not inhale second hand smoke.
