Pros: We stayed one night in March. We got in several hours before check in time. Not one restaurant in the area was open for breakfast so we decided to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious I would recommend getting it with the room if possible. Since we were desperate to get some sleep we decided to upgrade to a superior room with did not cost very much and we go in right there and then. The room was a good size and very clean. In at the afternoon we got 3 cakes delivered and there was free water in the room. The area is wonderful, right next to a big shopping mall and the translation. Also, walking to anywhere in main Krakow from the hotel is a breeze.

Cons: There was a serious heating problem during the first night of our stay and it resulted in very low temperature in the room. We have complained and then they transfered us to another floor a we were advised about some technical issue. Staff was helpful and offered free diner in the restaurant.

Pros: The corner room is great. The room size is decent-to-big. The TV is the biggest we've had in a hotel room within Europe. The bathroom floor has the option to be heated and the bathroom liquid soap and shampoo are from Azzarro (sp?). They smelled so very good!!! The hotel provides a delicious, full breakfast with two free coffee/cocoa/cappuccino makers for guests and are available 24 hours a day. The bar is open 24 hours a day but the hotel's front-desk employees will need to clear their area to tend bar. The hotel is literally across the street from the Krakow Glowny (main train station). The wifi signal was good/strong as the signal never went away. All-in-all a great place to stay and I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Krakow. I'll stay at other Puro hotels in Poland, given the opportunity.

Cons: Only issue is with the lack of early check-in. It was bad timing that they had been sold out the day before our scheduled check-in date. We caught an early train and arrived at the hotel at 7am on our check-in date. Unfortunately, because check-in time is 3pm and the hotel had been fully booked the night before, there weren't any available rooms as check-out time is noon. We needed to shower before our 11:30am tour pick-up but our room wasn't ready until 12:45pm and we were already in our tour. The front desk lady tried to help but it was out of her control.

Pros: The suite was completely according to our expectations. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: One group attending a seminar was a little too loud in the breakfast area. They occupied all the good seating groups whit laptops, loud discussions and didn't eat breakfast. This should be moved to another location.

Pros: Good location, nice staff. Excellent breakfast
Cons: Breakfast was not included in my booking (my choice). The first morning I payed for breakfast at the front desk, 60 PLN. The next morning I went to the front desk to pay for breakfast, but was advised that I should pay at the restaurant. When the bill came it was 95 PLN. When I asked why this was like this, I was told that it costs 60 PLN when payed at the front desk, but 95 when payed at the restaurant - 10 steps away from the front desk. I think this is extremely strange, and really inappropriate.

Cons: Stayed on the 1st floor and for 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend, which also happened to be the same weekend as Advent (Catholic start of Christmas season). The halls were a bit loud, but mainly from the noise of people walking up and down. There were a couple of parties at the hotel but they all finished at a reasonable time.

Pros: Hotel was maintained perfectly. Everything in working order. Attention to details. Great guest service. Really felt welcome.
Cons: There was a glitch with bar service. Very busy bar was understaffed. Fortunately after guest request rescue team resolved this issue. Also I observed some product knowledge shortages. That resulted Staff lacking confidence. Breakfast price was something that surprised me in minus. However it was very good in terms of quality and choices.

Pros: Old world style and grandeur. Staff at breakfast so efficient. Food and drinks quickly replenished and so delicious. Immaculate and spotless yet I never saw the cleaning staff!
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Perfect location, really clean rooms, simple but fresh and tasty breakfast and the staff was really nice and serviceminded.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, walking distance to most everything you'd want to see. Stellar service! Good food. Great comfortable room and great shower! Super happy with this hotel. Loved the regal vibe.
Cons:
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is close to a hundred years old. Come with that expectation and you will have a terrific stay. For example, the key is attached to a large, heavy, brass medallion. Everything works fine—toilet, shower, beds. The room is clean. Breakfast tastes great. The staff provides the highest level of service. Step away from your chain hotel mentality and enjoy your stay.
Cons: The radiator heat source can be difficult to regulate.
8.0 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Reach of wireless signal was at my room. Room was at the end of corridor, that is why. But it is simple thing as wireless repeater for comfortable internet access. Connection was bad all the time, and with that speed as well. Going out of room to get a better connection is stupid. So, if that would be fine, I would give 5 stars, with lack of internet only 3.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good
Cons: Bad Wi-Fi signal in the room. Some broken things in bahtroom.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was spotless ,the staff very friendly the room was big and the breakfast first class
Cons: The windows could do with sound proofing as you could hear every little noise during the night

Pros: We had a really nice executive room which was at a pretty good standard for a 4-star hotel. The staff was amazingly nice and very attentive. The location was pretty good, pretty close to Old Town. The swimming pool is of descent size and you can easily swim laps there. We really enjoyed the additional amenities in our room, like tooth brush, a coffee maker or a really comfortable couch. We also enjoyed a really nice view of the river. The hotel is freshly renewed.

Cons: The hotel was much better than expected, especially the executive room. The staff was probably the part that made this trip the most enjoyable. What was surprising for me was that I think the TV was a little too small for an executive room but seriously not a big deal. Also the price seemed a little on the higher end but at the same time this is Cracow and we booked an executive room at a last minute, so this is also understandable.

Pros: The property was much bigger and offered much more than expected. They even have a sightseeing tour bus of Kraków, a spa, a salon, and 2 restaurants. The decor is to a high standard and the lobby presents like a pricier boutique hotel.
This hotel is CLEAN! Not only was the room spotless, but every public area was totally clean and neat too. Even the children's play area!
The pool was clean and the water was heated to the perfect temperature. The jacuzzi was awesome! Changing rooms, showers and lockers were also available. A receptionist was on hand to provide towels too.
The included breakfast was served in a HUGE, beautifully decorated dining hall complete with tablecloths and place settings. The breakfast options were what you'd expect of a restaurant with many options. Fresh juicy fruits, eggs, bacon, pancakes, several different meats, lots of different salads and breads. This was far more and far better than a basic continental breakfast. And it was all delicious!
We had an issue with our room lights and someone came within 5 minutes and fixed it. The staff was friendly and polite, as could be expected at a 5-star property in New York or London. The room was comfortable and well decorated with a great view of the river.

Cons: very small qeen bed and room, no drinks in fridge on room, you can get similiar quality for almost half price.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and character
Cons: Deposit system whereby more than the cost of the room was taken as a deposit showed a lack of trust that I would expect in a lower class of hotel . Suite was not particularly well laid out and bathroom lacked a proper individual shower . Shower itself was difficult to control . Long thin lounge area and general interior decor weren’t up to standard for price of room . Gym had poor quality equipment . Pool had restricted opening hours and an odd communal changing area that was more like a lobby . Shower was cold in pool area .

Cons: Major negative - no iron in the room! Guests are required to give the clothes to the staff for ironing service, and the up charge is steep. It cost around €20 for a business suit. I really did not like that and it was the very first time I have ever seen a hotel not provide the option to just get an iron and press your own clothes. It takes a few hours so I was lucky to call early.
It was rather easy to hear people in rooms next door, especially when they spoke loud. Also, there were travelers with kids and those jerks had the kids running around and jumping up and down until maybe midnight, which could also be heard in the room. The sound proofing could be better.
However, I would absolutely stay at this property again and recommend it to friends and family! They seem to have brisk business especially with international tourists and they deserve it!!

Cons: New build concrete construction therefore inevitable sound proofing issues.. I had someone pacing floor in room above in the early hours..
I suggest if you are a light sleeper, carry a set of ear plugs..
I sleep deeply so didn't bother me that much but you will hear people entering the rooms either side of you and toilets flushing.

Pros: Nice clean modern hotel
Cons: We asked for an extra pillow as we only had one each, which was extremly flat, we were told there was no extra pillows as the hotel was full, even though they supposedly offer a pillow experience, which is really strange? Breakfast was good, although by half nine there’s no pancakes or waffles left and they don’t top them up Check out wasn’t great as we were charged a different amount than what we booked, we were told the exchange rate changed even though we booked it a set rate, they put a holding payment on my card and then upped that amount again because they said the rate had changed again since check in, very poor in my opinion!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and I enjoyed having a gym, pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room and just a short walk to the Kazimierz District. Also the tram station is just 2 blocks which you can take to the old square, galleria shopping mall and even to the main bus station then on to Krakow Airport.

Cons: I was told to pay money when checking out from the mini fridge in the room , saying was not free but nobody from the staff brief you when checking in . And in the room . They say there is a poster saying it but i did not saw it . And if it was then it was in polish .... not good for visitors who dont understand polish language .

5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked seeing the river Vistula pass by and the walk along the river up to the castle was nice. The bed was very comfortable and the room was both spacious and clean, lots of natural light. The staff were helpful.
Cons: I found the heating in the room intolerable. I turned off the air conditioner. However, the "central heating" (controlled by a computer) for the hotel also determines the heat of the room. I could not sleep all night because of the heat and the dry air. (Yes - I did open the window, but it made no difference.) Considering, we were staying for 4 nights, I did complain and the staff arranged for the "central heating" to be turned down 2 degrees. This made a difference, but these hotels are just too over-heated. I was very disappointed with the facilities. The website makes it look like there is a "bar". It turned out to be opposite reception - it was a bench with 4-5 stools and there's no privacy or "space". This is not a bar. The restaurant upstairs promotes a view of the castle from the terrace. This turned out to be exposed to the wind and cold - there were no gas fires or blankets like many of the outdoor cafes, restaurants, and roof-top bars have elsewhere in Krakow. There was no comfortable terrace style seating - instead there were a few tables and chairs. The restaurant was white and clinical - and lacked atmosphere. In fact the whole hotel lacks atmosphere. We relied on the reviews about the pizza restaurant - this was empty and also lacked atmosphere. The location is not very good at all. There are no bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. close by. It is quite isolated. Our expectations were based on the price (this is not a cheap hotel), reviews and photographs, as well as the hotel website and they were not met.

The ibis budget Krakow Stare Miasto hotel is the perfect choice for those traveling to the capital of Lesser Poland and seeking good quality at an affordable price. Our main advantages include our perfect location right next to the railway station and sho pping center and being greeted by a welcoming smile. Breakfast is served in the form of a buffet. A great hotel and an even better price.

Pros: Have been staying at this hotel for the past 15 years during my visits to Krakow. Clean and consistent. The restaurant has the best mushroom soup and potato pancakes in the city. I've tried many and return here regularly. During hot months, they can provide a fan to take the edge off. Very few hotels have AC, plan accordingly. Location to Old Town is excellent.
