10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked in the Ashton Lancaster Hotel for a family wedding. We requested an early check-in to our room. When arriving we was greeted at the door by James. He made us feel welcome and showed us to our room, which was beautiful & spacious. The view from our room was amazing. James ensured we where looked after arranging for fresh water, milk & condiments to be in our room. After a long day we returned to the Hotel, outside is well lit and quiet. We returned to our room to have a complimentary night cap. The bed was comfy and spacious, we slept really well. I was thoroughly surprised by the range of beautiful skin care products provided. The breakfast bar looked fantastic, definitely a variety of different options, along with fresh tea/coffee. We ordered Eggs Benedict for Breakfast- Which was delicious!! Every aspect of our stay was amazing from the service with a smile, to the finishing touches. We would definitely love to stay again & recommend to others. Thankyou James

Cons: Would have liked earlier check in to enjoy a longer stay
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room at Thurnham was amazing. Very high standard, the bathrooms and kitchen were particularly beautiful. En suite included which I wasn't expecting was a lovely bonus. Very peaceful, the children actually slept really well which is a change when we are in a unusual place. Lovely swimming pool, although expensive. £5 per person per day, we ended up going to the local leisure centre which only cost £12.50 instead of £20, but you do get to use the pool on site for 24hours with that price which is good if you wanted to use it twice in one day. The little park was a nice addition and the ducks to run after! Overall we loved our stay. unfortunately the weather was awful so we couldn't explore much.
Cons: Only negative really is the stone hard couches which make for a miserable night trying to chill and watch a film. We ended up going to bed instead which is a shame as we were looking forward to movie nights in the living room. Also the cows make for quite a strong smell but it all adds to the countryside glamour!

Cons: Fee for late checkout.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, extremely pleasant and helpful staff, apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. There was easy access to Lancaster/M6 making it a good base for exploring the area. We intend to revisit.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: The setting was beautiful. The apartment was fantastic and very well equipped.
Cons: Meals were quite pricey and not great not really a great choice. Not enough toiletries put into the apartment i.e. toilet rolls. Shop on site could have done with stocking more variety.

Pros: How close to the railway station and Lancaster town centre.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good shower
Cons: Closeness to trains could be annoying but not for me. Needed window open to sleep as room was stuffy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, right next to the station. Very comfortable room. Can't go wrong.
Cons: I don't have any feedback, everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was quite spacious for three people, and the little table with a kettle and makings for coffee and tea was large enough that our group could eat dinner on it looking out our window which over looked the railway tracks. As my husband adores watching trains go by and it rained our entire stay, he enjoyed watching all of the trains whiz by. It was great that we had free secure parking and the castle was only about 5 minutes away by foot. Because the price was fairly cheap and there was no possibility of having breakfast I assumed the place was going to be rather dreary and was quite surprised to find such a lovely room.
Cons: There was a slight smell of cigarette smoke in the entire place, but not specifically in the our room itself.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cosy feel and the location . Friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Everything that I used worked and was in a good state of repair. Very close to everything. Owner was friendly but not intrusive. I did not find the description clear but I did have a very nice en suite and shower cabinet with plenty of hot water.
Cons: There is a microwave but no cutlery or plates. ie there is no kitchenette. No problem for me but bring a bottle opener. Not really a complaint just good to know what's what.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very good size room, very clean, bathroom fine. Bed comfortable. Right by the train station and close to town
Cons: On this occasion the room was a bit chilly, and I dont think the heating was turned on so turning the radiator up made no difference. The TV didnt work because their was no remote. The room did smell a little musty but that can be the case when its a bit cold. If you are on the ground floor you will hear everyone come and go however quiet they are.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Lights shining through the bedroom window during the night

7.9 Good
Pros: Ideally situated for our onward journey to Scotland

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and tidy and central to shops and restaurants etc
7.1 Good
Pros: clean tidy room as seen in pictures, but to access the rooms you are taken around the back of a launderette which the staff also work in (and rooms are above of). Prior to arrival, you receive a text advising to use a keypad to retrieve your key if after 6 pm. Therefore this is definitely not a hotel, more rooms above businesses, none the less good central location right by the station.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant country hotel with a welcoming vibe. The family room was good size with a double and two single beds and space to move around. Good tea/coffee making facilities with fresh milk.
Cons: The bar area is perhaps a little run down? But the room and the hotel overall felt in a good, fresh condition and very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed. Lovely food
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpfuli had booked for three nights and due to weather forecast and lack of things to do I decided to cut my stay to one night. At which point an offer was made to reimburse me.
Cons: The hotel is tired and run down. My room was surface clean but had a stale odour within the bed and wardrobe. The room had no view, and was at the back of the hotel. A standard room I believe, below my standards. Food was plain and quite tasteless. I had decided to cut my stay short, for personal reasons and not because of the poor standard of the hotel however when I went back to my room at 6pm the room had not been serviced. I think that was the final straw although I was already going to leave. In the end I was reimbursed for one of the booked three nights and was not presented with a bill for dinner and drinks on the first and only night of my stay.

Cons: All good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The wait for my cooked breakfast. Even though the hotel knew the number booked in for breakfast a wait of 30min for a cooked breakfast is not what I expected.
7.9 Good
Pros: Right in town centre. Nice restaurant. Older building with character
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was perfect for our needs. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our first room was badly in need of decoration and rather small. BUT once we spoke to a member of staff we were changed to a better room although had to pay £10 per night more. Rooms not that well thought out for use eg hair dryer not near a mirror. The bath taps/shower arrangement was extremely difficult and fiddly to use and the shower was fixed so if you just wanted to wash your hair (without taking a shower) you couldn't (or only by using a cup/mug).
