Excellent hospitality. A very charming place. Very clean.
Do not miss this place is it grate and Martin is a great person with great personality. You have bikes all kinds and the place is on the route of the bike in the middle of the flowers but you need to get the in the flower seasons not like what I did. The breakfast is amazing and you will never enjoy any breakfast like it, it is an experience by its own. Looking forward to be back I the flowers season.
The owner is really nice and welcoming. Breakfast is very nicely prepared and served on the terrace.
This B&B is located in a beautiful place in a relatively rural area, and very close to an amazing windmill landmark. 25 min of Amsterdam by car, and close driving distances from other interesting places to visit. This is what we were looking for. We enjoyed watching the animals on the way to the B&B: a large herd of pony horses, rabbits, and all sorts of birds. The owner Martin was very attentive and very nice to talk to. The room was spacious. With a double bed in the lower floor and 2 single beds in the upper level. The room and bathroom were clean.
The lack of Air Conditioning might be good for most of the year in Holland, but not for July, August. It was hot, so we had to leave the windows open, which brought in a bunch of mosquitoes and other flying bugs. Breakfast was fine, although somewhat inconsistent in the time of service, and the content. No Gluten Free Options, though. We had to bring our own bread. Last but not least, we didn't notice that Martin doesn't accept credit cards. This resulted in a problem. We had to look for a currency exchange place. Accepting CC is a must, it is expected.
Our host went out of his way to help us have a great stay. After traveling in from the US and moving right on to a full day of sight-seeing we were really tired when we arrived at 9:30. He showed us to our room and made sure we were set for the night. Asked about what time we wanted breakfast and then was out. The room was large, the bathroom was warm and clean and the room was bright.
In terms of the location you really want to have a car to get here from city center. Otherwise a taxi/uber is 65 Euro's or 35 from the airport. You can walk to one of the restaurants about 3/4 mile away, but a bike would be helpful (they were offered but we did not rent) to head into the local town with more options around 2-3 miles away.
