Breakfast arrangements poor. Staff confused re buffet charges vs al a carte.
The Chamberlain Is located between Aldgate and Tower Hill Tube stations which is fantastic. You can walk to a lot of sights or catch the Tube if you need to. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. They also provide you with two small bottles of water every day.
There is a big building sight right behind the hotel which is really loud and which makes sleeping (even with earplugs) impossible during the week starting from 7:30 am. You can also hear the other rooms and staff walking up and down the hallways.
Wonderful staff, beautiful room & great value for money. I ran a lovely deep hot bath on arrival & had a wonderful sleep in a very comfortable bed. There were so many thoughtful little touches like free still & bottled water, complimentary beer & fresh milk in the fridge to go with the Nespresso provided along with some lovely biscuits. I didn’t have breakfast (I’m not a morning person & wouldn’t have woken up had l not booked a wake up call- it was very nice to be woken up by a very sunny sounding voice on the end of the cute retro phone in my room wishing me good morning!) but the options looked super tasty.
I was very sorry to leave and will be back ASAP!
Nice, clean and very comfortable hotel. Great bed, nice bathroom with huge shower, large room. Breakfast was nice.
Heavy doors and thin walls. We heard everything that happened in the hallway. Every door being opened and every door shut. Very heavy doors that made a lot of noise. Our neighbours next and across our rooms were very loud and were yelling at each other from room to room in the middle of the night. Not the hotel’s fault but because of the very thin walls, it was like they were in our room.
Wonderful hotel with comfortable rooms and very spacious bedrooms. Super location
nothing to dislike
