The place wasn't fit to inhabit. Cockroaches, leaks, and sewer backup into the tub. If you can, avoid this place

Pros (+) It was cheap
Cons (-) The hotel is cheap for a reason. The photos look cute but there were cockroaches in the bathrooms and some sort of dark liquid splattered over the ceiling. The A/C made the room smell like pee. We had planned on going to Universal that day, sleeping in the hotel, and driving home the next morning, and instead we drove all the way to LA and back to Sacramento on the same day, just to avoid sleeping...

Pros (+) Nothing.
Cons (-) I was surprised when I drove up to the hotel/motel. I remember the castle like facade from the picture posted on the website which is supposed to be the office. It is being renovated. The check in counter is at one of the guest room. You stand outside in the heat of the sun, making your transaction over a window. The place is just ghetto and the neighborhood seems unsafe. Pros (+) This was a very no-frills place but it was a place to sleep and pretty clean. I like that the second bed was tucked into a different room (without a door).
Cons (-) The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the mattress was covered in plastic, but that's how things go in a cheap motel.
