Cons: Glass shower sliding door did. Or Close. Kept opening mid shower which made it difficult to shower. A big inconvenience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were there for a University of Minnesota football game and the location to campus was wonderful. We were able to walk a few short blocks to the stadium so this location could not have been better! The breakfast was delicious - even had two choices of smoothies - and the overflow crowd was able to use the conference room for breakfast seating. This hotel's staff really knows how to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable!
Cons: Parking on site was limited...but so glad the hotel has use of an adjoining business for parking use. It really was not an inconvenience for us since the additional parking area was so close but for others it may be an issue.
7.0 Good
Pros: One of the few hotels I could find in the area with breakfast and parking included. A good buy. Free shuttle to campus for our tour. Very clean. Evening cookies.
Cons: Chose over another hotel with pool closed. Arrived to find this pool closed. Later chemical smell overpowering. Closing should have been on web site. Pool very small. Limited breakfast. With over an hour of breakfast left they would not refill oatmeal.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Parking is tight for larger vehicles and an overflow lot was used since parking fills up quickly at the hotel lot.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean facility and friendly staff! Neat Fireplace in lobby and decent options for breakfast.
Cons: Small room, and the beds seemed small too. Kind of expensive for such a typical place. The pool was small. Not what I expected for the price I paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the staff, the bed, EVERYTHING! If I could rate it a 20 I would.
Cons: Location is questionable but overall, outstanding stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is immaculate and the staff are very professional and courteous. We loved the breakfast lady also - so sweet and friendly and breakfast was delicious. This is a beautiful hotel.
Cons: This is downtown. There are a few unsavory characters out and about when walking but that's the big city. The hotel was very safe and secure.

Hewing Hotel - Minneapolis - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
Located in Minneapolis (Downtown Minneapolis), Hewing Hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Target Field and Nicollet Mall. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Minneapolis? This hotel has facilities measuring 5620 square feet (522 square meters), including conference space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and lovely. The bed was super comfortable. And the sheets and pillows were so soft I had an excellent night sleep. I like sitting near the fireplace and enjoyed the large public area for eating and multiple couches for being with friends and hanging out.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like, and this happens at most hotels, was that in the morning when the cleaners start cleaning other rooms they let the door bang against the door stop as they go in and out from their cart to the room. There's considerable impact when they let the door flop against the locking mechanism/door frame and it travels through the walls. The simple fix is to drop the dirty towels between the door and the door frame so that when they go out it closes softly and doesn't impact the door frame. Waking me up at 6 in the morning by allowing it to bang bang bang bang bang 20 times in the time it takes to clean each room, and having to put up with it for hours is unacceptable. It's hard to believe that someone in hotel service managment hasn't already instituted this technique across the industry as a standard practice. It's practical, easy, and free! Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, even when it took the valet an hour to find my car in the morning. They comped the $46 overnight parking fee which satisfied me. I will definitely stay there again but I will also definitely speak to the management about the doors banging before I decide to spend a night at any hotel again. The lighting could have been better, large room with a window that faced a brick wall 15 feet away of the building next door so not a lot of light came in and there were spots in my room that were more shady than I would have liked. There didn't seem to be a happy medium between having every single light on and just lighting for tasks. But this would not keep me from coming here again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Gorgeous design. Very comfortable rooms
Cons: Plugs in the room are terrible. Stylish and not functional
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They catered to my special requests. Love this place
6.3 Good
Pros: Jacob at the front desk was kind. I had booked incorrectly but he found us a room and it so much to us. He alerted us that the room had some work done on it that day but it had just been cleaned so we’re grateful but the room was not as clean as we expected nor was the room beautifully appointed. I also did not enjoy the vibe of the hotel.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The amenities, bar, restaurant and pool were great. Room still had remnants of past guest- crumbs, and smudges. The floor boards above are literally the wood planks and no soundproofing subfloor so everything was heard above us. The guests above us woke at 6am- super fun on a Sunday morning. Beds were also standard hotel beds. Overall our feel was this was overpriced for for a boutique hotel. Had it not been for the ceiling and beds, we would love to come back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old refurbished building with great beds!

4.0 Okay
Pros: The location connected to Mall of America was very convenient and being relatively new meant ample plug ins and newer beds and TVs. The Cedar + Stone restaurant downstairs was also fantastic.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful. We had a really great view of downtown Minneapolis too. The location was perfect. The staff was also very friendly. We loved how the hotel is attached to a network of different amenities so when it was super cold out, we did not have to leave the building. Also, being able to text the room service staff was a great perk!
Cons: There was an additional charge for things like a mini fridge. Parking is also very expensive ($22 per night) This is a very fancy/ upscale hotel so I may not be accustomed to it, but there were no food options included with our stay. Pros: We didn't eat at Nicolette Inn for no other reason than it just didn't fit in with other activities. The location to US Bank stadium and the Viking game was perfect. We took the rental bicycles located just across the parking lot. Took about 6 minutes to ride to the stadium. glad there were robes in the room.
Cons: I'd like staff to be sure there is black tea available every morning. i had to go to another floor to find some. Also, the hot water could be hotter, and maybe a place to dispose of the tea bag sleeve and sweetner package. a small refrigerator in the room would be great.

Pros: The location was awesome! We were able to walk to the Orpheum without even needing to go outside, which is why we were in the Cities. Breakfast was pretty good, they ran out of some items but I didn't make it down there until 15 minutes before it closed. But otherwise great selection.
Cons: There was a cup of some type of goo hidden in the back of one of the bathroom drawers. My son found it looking for toilet paper. I just threw it away so not a big deal but still pretty gross. Pillows very squishy. Great if you love squishy pillows but not so much if you don't. Reminder that the hotel doesn't have a pool.

Pros: The location is great, the ambience is nice, the room lay-out is pleasant, and certain staff can be helpful and welcoming.
Cons: The toilet wouldn't stop running, the bathroom ceiling was cracked and flaking, the first desk attendent was cold and showed minimal interest in being helpful.

Pros: I love the atmosphere of the Marquette.
Cons: The desk clerk wasn't as friendly as staff I've previously encountered.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean room and comfortable. Great location. Staff was friendly
Cons: So we got there to check in and they needed a card for incidentals and they said it was $150 all we had was cash so we ran to our bank and put money on our card. When we came back to finally check in the next lady only charged $100. I feel we were profiled based on how young we were by the first lady that wanted 150 for incidentals and the next lady that wanted less. This was our anniversary weekend and we don't get to do much most of the year so we go all out and get a nice room and go to a show have a nice dinner. It was just a bad way to start the stay.

Pros: Beautiful hotel and for the price that we paid was beyond what we was expecting
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room, nice modern feel, comfortable bed. Complimentary local brew sampling while we waited to check in. Hotel employee at the front desk was very helpful in helping us get a map to get to the skyway system.
Cons: Had to pay for parking even tho we paid to stay. Would have liked continental breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Busy hotel in downtown. Located in an historic train depot. The room was pretty standard but it was clean and comfortable. Every staff person we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great as was the hotel restaurant at dinner time.
Cons: We were fine with it but this was a Busy hotel. They had events every night we stayed - a wedding and some business conferences and some big fancy event. We enjoyed watching everyone but it was chaotic....just down in the lobby. No noise problem or anything when in the room.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Design is current and attractive, location is good and staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bathrooms could use a bit of an update.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The listing they posted was incorrect and had features like free breakfast and dinner. We thought that was weird too but jumped on the opportunity. When we arrived we were told that there is no way they would honor it. Mind you, we paid more for a booking that said free dinner over just free breakfast. Long story short, after a few phone calls we were instructed to get dinner wherever we wanted and send a receipt to booking.com for reimbursement so it worked out in the end. Just a little hassle.

Pros: Location was excellent. Outdoor space was very nice.

Pros: The hotel was very clean and had a great vibe. There was a restaurant in the lobby and we were walking distance to downtown. The room was nice and the beds comfortable.
Cons: The TV was not centered between the 2 beds. It made it difficult to watch from one of the beds.

Pros: It is a beautiful hotel that definitely makes you feel like you are on vacation.
Cons: The room was very clean.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Room was very nice.
Cons: Breakfast options were very limited.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: First time we've tried this relatively new Hilton Chain which is modern, bright and quite funky. This hotel is only two years old so everything is fresh and clean. Our room was spacious with two comfortable queen beds, a rather hard sofa and a kitchenette with fridge /freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Whilst there is no fitted stove top you can borrow a portable one or skillet from reception. There is also a coffee maker although this is constantly available free of charge in the lobby. Was nice to have a glass fronted walk in shower and there is a good counter top space in the bathroom and a decent hairdryer. Breakfast is included. Staff are helpful. Plenty of free parking The facilities in the hotel are good with a small well equipped gym, pool and laundry facility. There is also a nice casual seating area in front of the hotel with a faux fire. Location is reasonable if you want to take in various sights in the area as around 20 mins drive to each of downtown Minneapolis, St Paul, Mall of America and Prince's home and Studio. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
Cons: The breakfast set up could be improved. It's served in the lobby area and the space was too cramped for the number of guests. Didn't like the Mcdonald style omlettes and breakfast muffins that you self heat in the microwave. Most restaurants are a 15 min drive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was expansive and lovely. Beds were excellent, the lobby is gorgeous, and the breakfast nutritious and plentiful.
Cons: The coffee in the breakfast offering as not good. No good coffee flavor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It wasn't bad fare for a breakfast but it would be nice to have a few more options for the eggs. I did enjoy that you had fruit for the granola and oatmeal.
Cons: Your towels are very rough and bleached out. They seemed to have a very chemically smell to them. I guess it is from the washing process but it would be nice if they had a sent free option for those of us with allergies.

Pros: Great value for the 1-bedroom suite, barely more expensive than the studio. Very clean. The free breakfast was excellent. Staff was helpful, friendly, and efficient.
Cons: You can hear the freeway noise even with white noise machines turned on and the parking lot snowplow was even louder and started before 7am.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: My room was filled with cigarette smoke, the elevators were located far from the lobby. My key didn't work and i had to have it reprogrammed. The front desk did not realize i had prepaid.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms
Cons: Room stunk like smoke, very displeased.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were decently large and in really good condition. Clean and with quite a few amenities. We have a toddler and it was great having the room for him to walk around.
Cons: Most of the dining options are across a large intersection, so it’s not the most walkable hotel. Lots of good options within 5 min of the hotel.
4.8 Okay
Cons: This hotel has a policy of not changing bedsheets for stays under seven days. I had soiled a bed sheet. I removed it from the bed and placed it in a ball on the floor - a signal to the housekeeper to kindly change the sheet. Much to my horror, that evening, I discovered that the pooh-stained sheet was put back on the bed. That is simply disgusting. I can't believe that a hotel could be so totally cheap that they would subject their guess to such a thing. And if it isn't the hotel policy, then they have a severe training problem with their housekeeping staff. I certainly expect better for $169 a night. Because of this experience, I will never stay at a Staybridge property again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean, from the outside to the pool areas and the lobby. The breakfast was amazing! All the employees were very friendly!
Cons: No
