Car was clean and at least they had one for me. The gentleman behind the counter was nice.

Cons:

I picked up my car at the Medford airport. There's no signage indicating you have to go inside to pick up the rental, I just happened to walk inside after driving around the rental vehicle lot. I had booked an economy car (small size) and instead got stuck with a big gas guzzler on a 6-hour drive home. So while the initial rental was cheap, with the cost of gas it ended up being more than if I had just rented somewhere else. I was one person traveling by myself; I didn't want or need a massive SUV instead of a standard sedan and I'm not sure why an airport has so much trouble getting a variety of vehicles.

Car was fine, clean and the model was as requested. The pick up was terrible. There was a line of twenty people ahead of us! Medford is a small airport and when multiple flights come in I understand it can be hectic. But all the other counters had 1 or 2 people and quickly on their way. After 20-30 minutes we finally made it to the front and were told we'd have to wait for our vehicle which took another 30 minutes to appear! After that, smooth sailing!

It could have been better if I got a car I reserved 6 months prior and if I didn’t have to spend a 1/2 Hr on the phone for a refund on gas. I brought it back the same as I got it and it was 4-5 gallons short of full and the ignition locked up creating a lot of stress

Arrived in Medford and Alamo desk was closed but they directed you to National rental desk. National took good care of us and had an excellent rental car ready for us in about 10 minutes. We were very pleased with the service and vehicle that was provided.

Pros:

Nice upgrade to a premium 4WD

Cons:

Vehicles were not available. Myself and 6+ others had to wait almost two hours to receive keys. I spent $300 more on a air ticket to arrive early, woke up at 3:30AM for that flight, then had to wait 2 hours to get a pre-booked rental car.... They dropped the price $40, but it was a trainwreck.

We reserved and intermediate car but were given a large (Chrysler 300). The agent told me that there were no intermediate cars available unless I chose to wait, although there were Corollas and other similar cars on the lot. We came back in a few days and the new agent offered me a Prius, which I took.

Cons:

The car was marked as having a full gas tank but had less than 3/8 tank and I had to wait in line a really long time to have someone fix the problem so that the extra charge of $100 could be reversed.
