Pros: The hotel staff is very helpful and answered emails promptly. They were able to reserve a taxi to pick me up from the airport and take me to airport as well at the end of my trip. The hotel restaurant food is very good but a bit slow. The complimentary breakfast is very delicious as well. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The courtyard garden is very beautiful and daily maintained. The location is great. It is very close to an atm, the cathedral, the downtown shops and it's very convenient for catching a taxi.

Pros: This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff was so accommodating and gracious. One example, we had breakfast in the courtyard and the coffee cups were cold which made the coffee cold. The waiter took all our cups heated them up with hot water and then brought a new hot pot of coffee. They still have turn down service in the rooms and the restaurant is excellent, esp. the weekend breakfast buffet. The location is perfect. Close to the main square but still very quiet. I highly recommend Hotel de la Soledad

Cons: Had an issue when we had dinner, because we asked them to divide the check in 3, we were 3 couples and charged it to our room, and the waiter came back saying the division would not be equal because their system would not let them, we ended paying in cash.

Cons: Our room was very nice but it was next to the cleaning staff room so their noise would wake me in the morning. Not a big deal, but if you want to sleep in make sure you get a room in a quieter spot.

Pros: Everything! The suite was great and huge. There was a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It had a great antique/modern balance. The shower was great, however the water kinda goes everywhere (but doesn't affect the room) and there is no privacy/curtain. The bath was also awesome. I recommend you bring some bubble gel to fully enjoy the bath. Oh and the bed was amazing! It was big, warm and so soft.

Cons: The check in was rocky, as the hotel personnel could not find my reservation in their system. I had the booking.com confirmation but they were out of the executive suites. We were downgraded to a regular suite. Also, the workout room consisted of a single treadmill and two dumbbells.

Cons: The bathtub which is why I booked this hotel was. A huge disappointment. It’s more of a Roman bath with tiles - not a nice relaxing tub I was looking forward to. We sent both our meals at the restaurant back at dinner as they were only Luke warm and obviously reheated!!! There was lively music playing when we first sat down but this changed to a very loud soccer game - Awful and very off putting!! It’s a nice restaurant not a sports bar!!

When I called the front desk they said they could do nothing about it since it came from another place. Cons: The don't have hot water running all the time so be aware of that. The bath services are poor. The room is very basic and the tv control didn't work. They had phones on the rooms but they don't work which makes it annoying when you need something you actually have to walk to the lobby. The place is really small so any noices will be heard. It looks better on photos but sadly is not what I expected.

Pros: This hotel is very loud. They said they had sound proof windows and they don’t. Every morning they would move furniture around above us. There is a café/bar on the top floor that plays loud music until 10:30. The noise made it impossible to sleep. And to top it off the housekeeper was very unfriendly although the rest of the staff were nice.

Cons: They didn't mention the breakfast included with the room. Fortunately I knew about it and went without the required ticket. When presented with a bill for the meal I showed my room key card and the wait staff went to the desk and got a ticket for me. Only one person speaks English but other staff made a good effort and between us we managed.

Cons: Bizzarely, there was a kitchen but it had no pots, pans, crockery or cutlery whatsoever, so it was completely pointless having one. The hotel is really nice, but could do with some repairs. E.g. I sat on the sofa and fell through it. ( I'm not heavy). Iron didn't work.

They guy helped us from door to reception desk. We had to do everything else.

Cons: Breakfast was a joke. The room I was given had dried dirt on the floor and left items under the bed. The top floor bathroom is small and next to a lot of sleeping supplies. The rooftop is not pleasant as in the photos, it actually felt dangerous to be up there. I waited 25 minutes for hot water to come out of the shower head, I left the top floor bathroom and went to the one on the 2nd floor. Pay the extra $10-$15 and stay at a nicer place. This hotel is also on a street that is being renovated so the taxi can’t drop you off.

Cons: Normally there was no one at the front desk to get information from. The front door was often locked during the day so I had to search for someone to let me out. It was very unsettling the first time I returned in the afternoon to find myself locked out. I had to holler loudly to alert someone to let me in every time I returned. I also didn't like that there was no drinking water. I had to go out at night to buy some my first night there.

Nice sheets and towels. Nice bathroom. Location was fantastic as only a few blocks away from the Cathedral but Plaza Carmen itself is so peaceful and pretty. Breakfast adequate and is open for quite a few hours. I only meant to spend 2 days in Morelia but landed up staying 4 as I was so content and comfortable with my room and Morelia. I would have stayed a 5th night but they were full. The hotel itself is quite an old building and the owners obviously take care to look after it. Signs up to say quiet after a certain time and it was quiet at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

During the night and already early morning it was quite noisy, as the windows were facing to the corridor and could be heard what happened outside of the room... The bathroom was fine, but has a big window wich faces as for the corridor... Of course it is not transparent but still not comfortable...
