Built from scratch in 2013, the Hampton Inn is located on the easternmost outskirts of Midtown East and just two blocks away is the United Nations and Midtown's many corporate offices. Leisure travelers enjoy the proximity to sights such as Grand Central, the Chrysler Building, and the New York Public Library. In general, there are more suits and less shopping along the easternmost edge of Midtown East.

The on-site amenities are limited but the hotel offers well-equipped fitness and business center that are in a private and undisturbed location. There is no on-site restaurant, but the hotel does offer a great free breakfast with a waffle station and various other hot items. The hotel also offers coffee and tea for free throughout the day.

Accommodations are spacious, by New York standards, and feature large, comfortable bedding and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs. Pros (+) There were 4 of us who stayed together for a mommy/daughter weekend.... the hotel was nice, the staff was actually really nice as well..! They were super friendly (not like u would expect with “New Yorkers” lol), and clearly enjoyed what they did. Hotel was clean, beds comfy, good location (really close to Grand Central). Breakfast was great!!! And they had hot chocolate and coffee available 24/7 ...

Pros (+) Just a 5 minute walk to Grand Central Station. We walked all over or took subway. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The breakfast was typical quality expected from Hampton Inn, and the staff was great. They work hard to keep up! There's a great pizza place and a bagel place around the corner. Easy walk to Times Square, Empire State, etc.
Cons (-) Rooms and bathroom are kind of small, but this is because it's New York City. Everything is small, tight quarters. Front of the building has a bit of a view. Rear rooms look at another building. Internet was slow.
