Overview

At Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central, New York, guests receive all of the Hampton Inn staples, plus a convenient Midtown East location. The great location and basic amenities make it a solid pick for both business and leisure travelers.

Built from scratch in 2013, the Hampton Inn is located on the easternmost outskirts of Midtown East and just two blocks away is the United Nations and Midtown's many corporate offices. There are several consulates, embassies, and offices nearby for business travelers. Leisure travelers enjoy the proximity to sights such as Grand Central, the Chrysler Building, and the New York Public Library. In general, there are more suits and less shopping along the easternmost edge of Midtown East.

The on-site amenities are limited but the hotel offers well-equipped fitness and business center that are in a private and undisturbed location. There is no on-site restaurant, but the hotel does offer a great free breakfast with a waffle station and various other hot items. The hotel also offers coffee and tea for free throughout the day.

Accommodations are spacious, by New York standards, and feature large, comfortable bedding and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs. Guests are notified that their rooms have been freshly cleaned upon arrival with a Post-It note, this is part of the Hampton Inn promise and a casual way of reassuring visitors. Bathrooms are small but well-maintained and feature shower and tub combos.

With a great location blocks from the United Nations, Grand Central Terminal, and the Chrysler Building, Hampton Inn is a great choice for business travelers.
