Pros: Even though the owner/manager spoke little English and we spoke little Italian, he was delightful and so hospitable, meeting all our needs and making our stay most enjoyable. We’d recommend staying down in the plain in the lovely Villa Acquafredda amongst the vineyards and olive trees instead of in the medieval village. Each day of our stay we walked an enjoyable 10 minutes to the funicular to make our way up the mountain to explore beautiful Orvieto. A highlight was a tour of the ancient walls and through the tunnels with a most delightful, passionate and knowledgeable guide. We’re so glad this beautiful Medieval Village was recommended to us. It was a perfect way to complete a five week holiday in Europe.

Pros: The room was very clean. The staff made an attempt at getting our room cooler as we were quite warm.
Cons: The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but that is just a personal preference. Our key broke off in the lock but was promptly replaced. The room was much to warm for our liking and unfortunately it was not really remedied. We were told to open our windows. The shower in the bathroom is very tiny but that is the case in many Italian hotels I found.

Pros: We loved the hotel. The stag was very friendly and helpful, the rooms was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We could walk to the Duomo in 10 minutes and there were numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Cons: The A/C gets shut off November 1st, so it was a bit stuffy in our room because the outside temps were still in the 60s. We had to have a fan going all night to be able to sleep at all. That was only a minor inconvenience though, overall we loved the place.

Pros: It is a charming small hotel in a fabulous position next to the spectacular Duomo. There is a small area at the front of the hotel with tables and chairs, a lovely spot for a drink or a coffee to watch the activities around the Duomo. I was greeted by a delightful receptionist Paola who was pleasant and helpful throughout my stay as were most other staff. My two night stay extended to three nights due to a train strike and arrangements for me to stay on were dealt with efficiently and with a minimum of fuss. Paola made an excellent recommendation for dinner next to the hotel. Also there was a small lift which accessed all floors. My small room was at the back of the hotel overlooking houses etc. it was very quiet and you can sleep with the window open without disturbance. I would happily stay here again should I return to the beautiful town of Orvieto.

Cons: This hotel is a grand old structure nicely located in the heart of Orvieto, but our stay was not so grand. Upon arrival we stood at the reception desk a long time waiting with other guests for someone to show up to check us in. We arrived by bicycle, and asked for a place to store our bikes. Staff told us to chain them to a railing. Our room was small and plain, but the bed was comfortable. The hotel was occupied that evening mostly by a large tour group of Americans. The staff looked overworked, and not excited about engaging with us. The hotel has all the basic comforts, and the public rooms are very impressive, but we would try a different place next time.

Pros: It is just outside the town of Orvieto which suited us fine as were on bikes and Orvieto is very high! The price including breakfast was superb. Our room was spacious and bed comfortable. The ladies on reception most kind and helpful.
Cons: It slightly feels like the owners gave up on it 10 years ago. The whole place needs a refurb, the gardens untended, the waste bins by the entrance were full to bursting and breakfast was there but a bit disappointing! Despite the good price a taxi ride into town is €30 return so remember to add that in and a glass of wine from the bar isn’t too cheap either!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Pleasant stay, no issues, just average.
Cons: End of season feel and a little tired. Immediate surroundings were delapidated. Felt desolate and further from the old town that expected.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, clean and big bathroom, good heating and nice balcony
Cons: Shower a bit small , and the water not very hot. No toaster at breakfast. But good stay

Pros: Serviceable hotel located close to the centre of the old town and within walking distance of all the sights (cathedral, St. Patrizio well, museums, etc.) and the furnicular down to the train station. It is good for a short stay in Orvieto. I stayed in a queen room. It had a big, comfortable bed that could easily accommodate a couple, and there was a desk and a wardrobe. There was not much room to move about, though. The room was fine for one person, but may feel a bit cramped for a couple,. The bathroom was well-equipped, and the shower had plenty of hot water and reasonable water pressure. The breakfast was quite good, with the usual Italian fare of bread and sweet and savoury spreads, yoghurt and cereals, cakes and croissants. The coffee was decent.

Pros: The breakfasts were very good. The location is excellent. The city is superb - so much to see and do, with amazing history and architectural sites.
Cons: On arrival at the Train station, I guessed that I should take the (most interesting) funicular to the city up on the hill. The Corso Cavour was fairly quickly evident, and I fairly easily found the Hotel Corso.

Pros: The hotel is a few mins walk from Orvieto train station which may be a plus for travellers who need to stay close to train stn or don't wanna bother dragging the bags to funicular and up on the hill.
Cons: The owner was only there limited time and that may be inconvenient when checking in. The room I stayed was quite small without air-conditioning. When I opened the window to get some fresh air, there were a lot of sesame-sized bugs crawled in.
6.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: The noise from passing trains can be a nuisance.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The room was very noisy because of the continuous passing of trains which were very disturbing all night long!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the station
Cons: The Goole map to the hotel was wrong, so it took time to find the hotel. Please correct it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything - funicular to Orvieto within walking distance and train. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast is good. Coffee great.
Cons: The noise from the railway station was extremely loud ( screeching noise) so couldn't sleep with the window open. Fan was supplied and effective but quite loud as well. May need to consider air conditioning in future.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the train station.
Cons: The light in the room was dark.

Pros: Nice small hotel, very nice hosts, breakfast was small but nice. Free parking! Train station and Funicular to the city around the corner. We can also recommend the Restaurant next door (Osteria del Grillo)
Cons:
4.0 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: The water was rusty brown, the bed was very hard, the pillows were flat. Not very easy to find and the sidewalk disappeared so to drag luggage up the hill was difficult. Breakfast was poor. Rusty water was the worst though
