Christopher Creek Lodge

Set within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Christopher Creek Lodge combines the beauty of nature with cozy, homely accommodation. The pet-friendly lodge has eight cabins, and each is designed with a unique character. All the cabins feature a fireplace, television, porch, refrigerator, and coffee making facilities. They also include sleeping lofts and come with a bathroom and shower.

Minutes away from multiple lakes, the lodge is within walking distance to a nearby bar and restaurant that’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s also located close to a market that sells essentials and more. Visitors can fire up barbecues using the provided coal BBQ pits and grill. As an added perk, guests are also allowed to pack along a small propane grill.

Situated right on the bank of the eponymous creek, Christopher Creek Lodge provides different outdoor activities. Guests can go backpacking, hiking, bird watching, or mountain biking. During the fall and winter, available activities expand to include skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. The lodge also has a conference room that accommodates up to 50 people.

A short, scenic 90-minute drive from Phoenix metro, Christopher Creek Lodge provides the perfect retreat destination for guests who wish to escape the bustle of the city. It’s also located within driving distance to several landmarks. It’s 13 miles from Woods Canyon Lake and twice that distance to Black Canyon Lake. Mazatzal Casino and the Payson Golf Course are both situated roughly 25 miles away.
