Days Inn by Wyndham Airport - Phoenix

The property is extremely unclean, the staff is rude and incompetent (it took me 25 minutes to check-in), the coffee machine in the room leaked out all the water I poured into it to make coffee in the morning, and the coffee machine in the lobby was also "Out of Order", so I went without coffee until I left and bought some at a convenience store. The heater in the room made loud popping and snapping noises every 30 to 90 seconds, making it impossible to use. I therefore had to turn the heater off, but Phoenix is a desert city, and it gets cold at night. So I had an extremely poor night's sleep. The water in the shower was freezing cold, and despite letting it run for 10 minutes it never warmed up. So I went without a shower this morning. The continental breakfast was a lousy bunch of packaged muffins and oatmeal, included no toast, no bagels, no bread of any kind, no cheese, no fresh fruit, and no tea. The front desk clerk didn't even bother to say a word to me or respond in any way to my saying "good morning" when I walked into the lobby to get breakfast. It was a horrible experience in every way, in an extremely run-down, high crime area, and I strongly urge the traveler to look elsewhere. Don't waste your money. And amazingly, Wyndham Hotel chains (who own this particular Days Inn) were reliable in the past, but clearly are not any longer.

Bed was comfortable

Room was filthy. Paint and grout peeling around sink and tub. Hairs stuck to floor. Floors dusty with debris in corners. No tissues or water cups. Breakfast consisted of white or wheat toast, wrapped tiny muffin and cereal. Milk was past expiration date. NO COFFEE AVAILABLE! Desk clerk was put out when asked about coffee because she was busy hot ironing her hair.

Staff was rude. Mold around tub. Molding coming away from bathroom wall, and noisy.
