Platja d'Aro hotels

Pros: The bed was comfy and breakfast was fantastic. Location is great and parking meters were available in the area. Gym is nice and views of the sea was amazing. Spa facilities was a bonus!

Cons: Downside, nothing really but room should be equipped with a kettle and tea/coffee facility, but had none. Unusual for a 4-star.

Pros: It was a very pleasant stay at the Cosmopolita Hotel. I believe our choice was the best at Platja D'Aro. The location and the atmosphere of the hotel are great and it fits for couples that search for a romantic time or for some fun as well as for families. Our reception was very good and Vera, that spoke Portughese, granted us with an upgrade. Our room, with ocean view and a balcony, was clean, spacious and cosi. There was, also, a very welcome welcome cava. The staff is very helpful, specially Jana, that always had a smile to help us.

Pros: The staff is nice and helpfu they helped us with every little thing we neededl. The hotel is a on the beach and 2 minutes walk from the Main Street.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was pefect.

Pros: the Japanese restaurant was absolutely superb the staff were super helpful and friendly the room was luxurious modern and clean thoroughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere and set up great location great value for money

Pros: Superb breakfast. Wonderful staff. First went to this hotel in 1964! The suite was beautiful. Loved it.

Cons: Not told beforehand that the bar and restaurant would be closed from the beginning of October.

Cons: The table at the couch was not secure it fell on to my husbands finger and he had to go to the emergency room

Pros: Excellent breakfast. Peaceful location but still within walking distance of Restaurants, bars etc. Spacious Apartment. Friendly helpful staff.

Cons: No lighter snacks available from bar eg toasties No kettle in Apartment but could boil pan of water for coffee/tea in morning so not a big problem.

Pros: Great place to stay with a family. Very close to town and beaches but still feels very private and safe. Staff was very friendly and professional. Will probably come back in the future

Pros: It’s a lovely old hotel , but really comfortable , great staff friendly and attentive but not intrusive .

Pros: The property is elegant and beautiful. Room was perfect as well as service from staff. We were celebrating 35 yr anniversary and you took care of us with champagne.

Cons: It rained when we arrived so we could not enjoy the beautiful pool and patio for dining.

Pros: Very cozy place with an amazing view from the terrace. It’s just a few steps away from the beach. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of food and view over the seaside. Very friendly stuff. Hotel room was very clean and cozy with a big bathroom. So nothing to add. We definitely come back!

Cons: It‘s just a minor thing. It was a bit freezy at the bar/sitting area.

Pros: Totally beautiful hotel, the location is stunning, gorgeous rooms, lovely hotel bar and delicious food, staff are so helpful and friendly, plus it’s dog friendly.

Cons: The hotel was not what I expected. I’d say it’s more like a two star. Not much luxury. Very crowded. A bit run down and no service. The area was not pretty either, but the beach seemed okay. Say further north if you can. We left early even though we already paid. We found a much better location and place.

Pros: Beautiful spot to enjoy the stunning Costa Brava. We will be back, soon!

Pros: Central location to shops and short walk to beach through the town was pleasant. Staff very helpful & friendly, breakfast was brilliant and a nice lie in as buffet served till 11am!! Very clean rooms and double patio doors/curtains great as no noise and stayed dark.

Cons: more cupboard space for clothes perhaps the balcony chairs were a bit strange and uncomfortable but these are very minor points

Pros: Although we didn't have sea facing view, our room was very spacious, light and clean on the top floor with a dual aspect balcony. Check in was easy and staff friendly and multilingual. The whole hotel was clean and light with an excellent bar and buffet restaurant onsight, looking over the seafront. We ate outside at the tables, with our dog (who was welcomed without issue or fuss). We had an incredible thunderstorm all night and the power was cut off. In the morning the town was flooded. Staff were helpful and not overly flustered, so all was ok.

Pros: It is a perfect hotel for a stay in Costa Brava! Friendly staff, very nice hotel close to the city centre, great breakfast, lovely evening entertainment program, interesting beach!

Cons: The price for saturday night was double vs the other nights. The rest is good!

Pros: I am vegan so I was really impressed with the vegan options at breakfast. Hotel is in a great location and for the price, is really clean and comfortable - really grate value and feels really cosy.

Pros: The breakfast was too basic. No eggs, only tortilla espanola instead.

Cons: Lack of noise isolation. People were just speaking at night and you could hear the conversation.

Pros: This hotel was cute, comfortable and extremely affordable. In addition, you get a decent breakfast with healthy options. I definitely got way more than what I paid. I would stay here again.

Pros: Really nice decorated hotel. Details, colours, all very thoughtfull done. Smart, multilingual, very helpfull frontdesk staff, bed and bath comfortable.

Cons: First floor room noisy, staff helped me moving to groundfloor.

Pros: Great hotel located on the quiet street. Stuff is super friendly and ready to help. Hotel provides with free sun umbrellas gives bicycles for rent. Has nice restaurant with fair prices.

Pros: Fantastic location, 100m from the beach and 200m from the city center but in a very quiet neighborhood. Very friendly staff, always smiling and willing to help you. I felt very comfortable about my car that was parked in the protected and covered parking and about my bikes in the locked bike room. Breakfast was very varied, extensive and healthy. Local restaurant is recommended. We look forward to come back !

Cons: The shower and bathroom sink were inside the room itself. No seperate room for the shower in a 3 person room, ridiculuce.

Pros: Nice Hiking coastal routes... to the left and right of the hotel. I was close by to a nice supermarket.

Cons: No transport available is travelling solo.. One would need to hire a private car. Arrived at S Agaro.. wheeling my suitcase at nighttime for over an hour. Restaurant staff not smiley .. my dessert costed 7.50eur approx but bill also showed 45.50eur vat. The Staff thought I should pay.. terrible time .. I had to fight my corner to highlight the VAt amount is a Typo. Breakfast food displays.. restricted... no porridge...pancakes.. not the usual spread that one would expect. Checkout - day- The money before arriving left my account. But lady advised me that the money will be returned to you and if you can pop your card in and pay.. When walking way from Hotel.. payment was taken twice from my accounts. so after several calls with hotel - 5 days later the money was refunded. Not an ideal situation if other Guests if money is tight. Checkout day- no transport available... the Lady behind the counter kept on laughing at this. I was panicking how will I get home, get my flight etc. The Lady wasn't too pronto about finding other plans. I had to beg for a hotel worker to drive me to the next town for me to catch a bus to the Girona City ...then to airport. When I got home I regretted going on this trip and my 1st and last day were very stressful. No apologies from the hotel at all. I did email booking.com about this but no reply.

Pros: This is an amazing Boutique Hotel with very friendly staff who go that extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable break in Tossa de Mar. The property is sparkling clean and very inviting, highly recommended.
