You charged me although I had cancelled the reservation two minutes after booking it. This is a scam. You advertise really low prices, then I want to take the insurance, then you refuse to sell it to me. Then I cancel. Then I receive a charge on my credit card. This is a pure scam.

They will find a way to make you take their insurance! You'll need a letter from your insurer describing in detail what they are covering.

Cons:

The address is not correct, the car does not exist and the price is 60 usd (instead of 41 usd) for a cheaper category of car, plus i have to pay the insurance cause they don’t accept the insurance of the credit card. It’s a fraud.

Renting with Hertz, Dollar, Firefly & Thrifty in Playa Del Carmen , is a huge scam and waist of time . The people in front of me, he tried to force them to pay 500$US extra for 4 days rental ! When it came to my turn, he said my premium car wasn’t available, there were economy cars available, but he wouldn’t give me that, because it was already reserved ! Basically if you pay a promo price online, they will no honor it, even if it’s on the Hertz website . Just a bunch of crooked people .

They NEVER HAVE THE CAR you order AND they try to upsell you $1000 pesos per day... THEY SUCK, NEVER RENT THERE... NEVER... You show up there and you're in a JAM if you're tight with time... They GOT YOU BY THE BALLS and upcharge...

You should communicate more with each other. In the rental: 1) they didn't have the car at all 2) the price was much higher (from 75 to 185 dollars) I was told that you know it but do not regard it. Make it better please. We solved it directly with Hertz in the end. Have a nice day! Petr

The pickup time was 8pm and they were already closed.

The Firefly representative was so, so rude. Not willing to help, barely wanted to talk to me even though I had a reservation.

Pros:

Absolutely nothing. Even with a reservation, many days in advance, there was no car for us when we arrived at the rental place. On top of that, the thrifty rental office was closed and everything was being operated through the Hertz office. Worst experience I’ve ever had.

Cons:

Nothing went correctly, so technically everything could have been better.
