9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean. Excellent location. Comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was lovely with variety, local specialties, and offered over plenty of time. The room was modern, toilets were separate (like a WC) from the shower and sink.
Cons: The shower didn't have a rim or lip to keep the water from the rest of the room. The rugs were a bit aged.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were helpful when there were difficulties and the breakfast and evening meal were good. No restaurant on a Saturday!
Cons: The Hotel is unsuitable for a guest on foot, difficult acces from the road and poor transport from the station. Not a typical clean white Ibis hotel. I had the impression it was a hotel of another group that had been taken over. A good twenty minutes walk to the old centre,
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was in close proximity to the city centre and Medieval village. Clean and neat, facilities up to standards with other Ibis establishments
Cons: The pillows were too high, there was no air conditioning but there's an electric fan.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It's close to the medieval city
Cons: Very far from the train station Don't book it off you're not driving The staff was not very friendly nor helpful when requested for help
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Ibis Provins is a gem. It is located just on the edge of Provins, a short walk from the walled medieval city. It has easy access to the bypass, but is situated down a quiet, leafy lane. From our room we saw rabbits and woodpeckers. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was excellent. There is no air conditioning, but a fan was provided and the hotel is shaded by trees, so the bedroom was comfortable even in the heat wave. The breakfast is good, and our bicycles were stored in one of the two conference rooms. The staff are outstanding. Earlier on our cycling tour I had picked up a really bad stomach bug, and I was not well when we arrived in Provins. The reception staff were very helpful and considerate, and took good care of us. In the morning I could not continue cycling. We were able to arrange a second night at the hotel, and the reception staff booked us a large taxi for the next day, so that we could get to our next destination and continue our cycling tour. Thank you.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Free parking
Cons: We found the staff to be very rude especially the overnight lady! She refused to speak to us because we only spoke English! Like she was ANGRY! When I asked for water it was a terrible experience to the point that she told me I should drink it out of the bathroom tap in my room. She was trying to force me to speak French! The hotel dog that roamed the hotel even in the eating area was friendly?!?! The hotel wasn’t that clean and the beds were very uncomfortable! I’m writing this review from an Ibis in Germany and this one is great! Lol
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Very nice and professional staff, early and late shift. Formula with breakfast included is perfect. Overall, good value for money.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The room is overly small and unclean.
Cons: The staff does not speak English and was not helpful at all.
6.7 Good
Pros: The car was safe and secure.
Cons: No dinner available.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Room was small and looking a little dated, stayed in room 206 2nd floor was very warm with only a small window to open
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel Aux Vieux Remparts, The Originals Relais (Relais du Silence) places you in the heart of Provins, steps from La Grange aux Dîmes and 4 minutes by foot from Cesar Tower. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very high quality rooms, service, food and facilities. Excellent location, couldn’t have been bettered.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely medieval style building which fits perfectly into the style of the old town atmosphere. Beds are very comfortable and the room very clean. The staff are friendly and try their best to accommodate your needs. The location is perfect to explore the town.
Cons: It was very popular on the day we stayed (Saturday) and the pool, spa and steam room were all very crowded and therefore difficult to access. Once in, it wasn’t relaxing and more like a public baths. The sauna was out of order. The power in our room went off in the bathroom around 7.30pm and was not restored until the following morning. Car parking was scarce in both car parks for the hotel. A lovely atmosphere here and maybe we just came on the wrong day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Who said the French are not welcoming to Americans. All was perfect.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Wifi didn,t work, shower curtain wasn’t there, room was almost empty instead of the rooms in the pictures and the bathroom wasn’t clean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really accommodating and lovely. We were a bit surprised by the lack of mini bar in the rooms but overall very happy with the accommodation. The spa treatments were well worth the money. Fresh juice at breakfast was fantastic, as were the local pastries and cheeses. Highly recommend.
Cons: The spa area was lovely but a bit too lively for our taste- the facilities were fine and very clean , but lacking In consistence and maintenance ( sometimes the sauna was an acceptable température, sometimes it was too cold) A staff person to keep children from shouting and perhaps offer tisanes or other drinks would have been a welcome addition. We also would have wish for a more complete room service and a in room refrigerator.

7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location and beautiful property.
Cons: Honestly, the hotel is beautiful but the execution is a bit poor at times. Our room looked a bit different than the pictures, with just a bathtub planted in the middle of the room (no shower) - this meant you were forced to take a bath to wash yourself. The room itself was tiny and terribly hot. Breakfast wasn’t ready at 830am and we had to wait until 9am for bread to arrive (annoying as we wanted to leave on time), it took 30 minutes to order a glass of wine in the restaurant the night before, etc etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The boutique set up and lovely garden and the restaurant
Cons: It rained the night we arrived
7.5 Good
Pros: Restaurant good. Room very comfortable. Lovely building and grounds.
Cons: Electricity cut out just before breakfast so no coffee available. No-one there to fix.
7.9 Good
Cons: Staff was very friendly and helpful, despite seeming to be overworked. Some of the interior design was bizarre -- black lights in 2019? Electricity (and therefore Internet) went on and off momentarily several times.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautiful, staff great and food very nice. Must visit. Just two things: There was no hand soap and some left over old body cream and shower gel. Breakfast is nothing great.

Pros: Beautiful property!!! Friendly owner in an amazing town!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s such a beautiful historic group of buildings, and in the loveliest of gardens. Our bedroom was charming, very spacious and very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! And it’s an excellent spot from which to explore medieval Provins, no need for your car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was stunning from the beautifully kept garden, even in a Fall, to the perfectly comfortable and decorated bedroom suite. The building itself was a 13th century public bath and the owners have taken a lot of care in the restoration of the buildings which retain so much of their original character. We also had a delicious homemade dinner in the dining room. We would high recommend the Demeure des Vieux Bains as a destination in and of itself as well as a jumping off point for discovering Provins.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great historical building with very warm atmosphere. Very friendly host.
Cons: Nothing
