The rooms were much roomier than most SF hotels we've stayed at. We purposely picked FiDi instead of Union Square because we wanted the extra space. We got the executive suites with king beds because they were not much more expensive than the regular rooms. The rooms was spacious by SF standards, nicely decorated, modern, and the king sized beds were superbly comfortable. Didn't use any of the other facilities or amenities offered like the gym etc as we were just staying overnight.
The food options were not much to be desired. We ordered room service for late lunch and it was just ok. I guess we could've gone anywhere to eat but we're feeling tired. Went across the street to pick up dinner which was also alright. Parking was pricey so we parked our car at stockton Sutter garage after dropping the bags off, and Uber's back to the hotel. Stockton Sutter is a bit far but a whole lot cheaper.
Excellent Value in Financial District
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable. Location was awesome with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, parking garages within close walking distance, and walking distance to Bay Area.
No coffee and payment required for WiFi access in the room.
Great location and good price for a surprise view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Parking was very expensive. $70 per night.
It was disappointing not to be provided free internet.
Great overall experience
Very friendly staff, fast check-in, excellent, safe and central location, beautiful design, stylish spacious rooms, beautiful views. Close to bart, cable car, malls and landmarks. And free illy coffee to top it off.
Paper thin walls
The beds were extremely comfortable and the location was nice.
On November 20th, my girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to San Francisco and stayed at Le Meridien. Upon arrival, the parking situation threw us for a loop as we drove into their structure that apparently is no longer in service. Frustrating, but we eventually figured it out. The hotel itself was nice and the first night sleep was great! Nice views of the all buildings, super comfy bed and overall very spacious. The second night however...very different story. We came back to our room(2103) around midnight from a great night out. We could hear the people next to us in the Sydney Cove Suite(2104) who had a few guests over. They were a little noisy but it didn't bother us at the time. Around 230AM, I was woken up to "extra curricular activities"....(Wink wink cough cough). Okay...just a couple enjoying their night together like any other couple would...we all do it, no big deal. But this wasn't normal (we very quickly realized there were more than 2 people still in that room...) and it happened again and again and again...and again.Precisely that many times until 530AM!! Not only were they blasting their music still, but the walls were so thin, we could hear EVERYTHING. Very disturbing and very disgusting. After the first hour and a half trying to block out the sounds (which was impossible) we called the front desk who initially was less than helpful. The first call we asked to have someone come up to ask them to please be quiet. No one ever came. We called back again about 20 minutes later and asked if anyone was coming. The man at the front desk said they had sent security who heard nothing from any room, which we did not believe. Our neighbors hadn't stopped since the first call downstairs and was still happening WHILE we were on the phone during the 2nd call! At that point we were very direct about what was going on/what we were hearing in that room and they immediately called the guests. Finally around 530--sweet silence. We notified the woman at the front desk when checking out who was very apologetic about the situation. It really is a shame that we had such a disturbing second night. The hotel really is nice and very comfortable hence the 3 "stars", but the walls make it seem like you are in the same room with your neighbors. I'm not sure that we would come back after the night we had.
LOCATION, very nice room, near from the port 1, access to the buses stop, near form China Town
Second Stay - Still Good For us
We came from the Embarcadero BART/Muni Station on Market Street which was a very comfortable walk. Arrived about an hour before check-in time and received a room right away. Front desk was backed with a line for awhile. Had a high floor on first stay and liked it much better than the lower floor this time. Room and features are good. Large screen TV nice! Restaurant on the third floor is very good. Arthur is a great waiter; ask him where is from.
BATH ROOM DOOR IS A JOKE!. It is very heavy and slides open like an old barn door. It is impossible to use the facilities in the middle of the night without making noise that awakens spouse. Bed was firm but comfortable. Would prefer a top sheet instead of just the covered comforter. Towels were nothing to shout about.
Upgraded to a suite for free. All staff very friendly and helpful
The bed and pillows. Not comfortable at all. Parking was too expensive. Although they did offer a garage to park for $30/day which I should have done.
Hotel parking Incredible expensive
All of the hotel itself.
The parking situation. Very very expensive $$$
We love our staying in SF also thanks to Le Meridien staff
Service is excellent and friendly
The view of the Bay bridge.
Staff was good, hotel was accessible because of it's corner location.
On Sundays the immediate area is an absolute ghost town.
The fitness facility was terrific, plenty of equipment to use, towels and fruit provided every day. The location was great for the conference and for sightseeing the city.
The only complaint I can think of is the price per night was very high because of the Oracle conference. We were pretty much out of luck and had to pay the asking price. I wasn't able to use my corporate credit card because my wife had supplied a personal credit card at the time we booked the reservation and the hotel charged her card and would not refund her charge and let me use my card.
concierge,Laura, was very helpful. So with the doorman, George
courteous staff. The concierge were ver helpful
very pleasant room. bay view
Hospitable and very helpful staff, exceptional service, elegant decor and nice amenities. Close to Union Square in the heart of San Francisco. We have always favored Le Merridien in our travels. I booked a reservation for relatives visiting SF. The person-in-charge was very pleasant. He arranged for a beautiful room with an exceptional city view. They very much enjoyed their stay and loved the hospitality. I would highly recommend Le Merridien SF.

Within a longer walking distance of the hotel are Union Square, Chinatown, and the Ferry Building Marketplace. Pier 39 on Fisherman’s Wharf, Alamo Square, Golden Gate Bridge, and Haight-Ashbury are all within a short drive.
Geared toward business travelers, the hotel features 14 meeting spaces, a business center, and free WiFi for SPG members. The hotel’s Bar 33 in the lobby is a popular after-work stop, as is the Park Grill restaurant with American cuisine and courtyard seating.
