Very nice hotel in the middle of everything. I will have to come back and stay again.
A set of stand alone cabins surrounding a beautiful main facility with outdoor bar, pool, and dining. All overlook the sea, and a rocky beach. The staff are pleasant, and engaging. Accommodations are lovely. Vieques is very rustic, and so is Blue. It assumes the simple friendly charm of the island. You will need a jeep to get around. If you are interested in a relaxed quiet experience, this is a great choice
I wanted to share my experience regarding supervisor Javier from the Palacio location. We were moved for the Convento site to the Palacio site due to torn sheets, unswept under beds with leftover toys from previous dwellers, malfunctioning air conditioning, and cockroaches presence in our room. Helen was kind and personally assisted us in our room transitions. We were advised to obtain breakfast vouchers and met Javier at the front desk. Javier, to say the least, is rude and unfriendly. He was rolling his eyes and just appeared unwilling to assist. He was argumentative about the fact that the food vouchers were not issued by Helen. Javier pointed at my 3 year old son and sarcastically asked if he is going to eat as well insinuating that he should not be eating. Javier should not be dealing with customers as he does not know what customer service means.
I love El Convento. Old world with modern comforts. Elegant and great staff. Beautiful location as well.
