Pros: San Miguel is a wonderful destination and the Belmond is a wonderful experience. The hotel is made up of a series of houses that have been converted into the hotel. The rooms are magnificent and have all the amenities. It is on the pricy side but - you get what you pay for! The general manager, John, couldn't have been any more helpful as was all the staff. It's a special place for a special occasion.

Cons: The hotel is broken up into separate buildings that although they are walking distance from each other, it would have ben nice to have the pool closer to our room.

Pros: Perfect hotel and the vibe matches the area. From indoor/outdoor experiences this hotel spent time on ensuring the lush nature of the property was spot on. Food was fantastic and even better than many of the top rated local spots.

Cons: Our room did not have a solid shower. The shower leaked a lot and the pressure/ shower head was definitely not something one would want. Everything else exceeded expectations so i still have no issue giving this hotel a fantastic review.

Cons: Nice gem in the heart of San Miguel. Checkin was very easy and pleasant. Efficient bellmen takes all your luggage to your room. My wife noticed s star smell in our room and the concierge immediately investigated s room change. This was done after we had unpacked a little and left the property for a few hours. We unfortunately were not able to use the lovely pool area. Belmond is great! I’ll be back.

Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange tours and taxis and find our way. The included breakfast ($5 a day) was good and we appreciated the access to cold filtered water and hot showers. The hotel and rooms were very clean.

Cons: The beds and pillows are too hard. The street is noisy night and day. Bring earplugs! The interned is spotty in the rooms on the 2nd floor, though you can sit outside and use it.

Pros: The location was perfect- away from the main square but an easy walk there. It is on a quiet street, so you don't have any street noise. The rooms are filled with antiques and it has a very nice "old Mexico" feel. The staff, especially Luis, was exceptional. Luis was extremely helpful with all sorts of things. The courtyard where breakfast is served was lovely.

Cons: The sheets on the bed felt like they were "balling" up, so, although the bed was comfortable, the sheets weren't. Our room had no windows, which was kind of odd. The closet door was only about 5'8" tall, which was a problem for my 6' husband. At night, we often heard loud groups come into the courtyard after midnight. Having a room with no windows was probably a plus for reducing the noise. There was no where to sit on the room, but we could easily step outside to the courtyard, where the WiFi was better, anyway.

Pros: The town is an amazing place and this property is great in terms of access to the Center. The staff goes out of the way to take care of you and yours. They took care to pack an artefact I had purchased so that it wouldn’t break during the course of my travels !! Who does that? That’s a classic example of their care and love for their guests. The place is beautiful and impeccably clean. A lovely experience that I would strongly recommend to anybody who visits the town.

Pros: Mexican charm. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet. Lovely views from rooftop deck.

Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. There is no room service. We took massage but the room was very cold and too much light. Massage was okay though.

Pros: Great location!!! Spacious, traditional decor and clean room. I had a junior sweet and it was really lovely would stay again. Good breakfast can order off the menu and they make it to order.

Pros: The location was great. For the room, the shower was great - good pressure and didn't feel crampt. The staff was also great. We were in late and our early and they were accomodating.

Cons: The notes for the room said to not flush toilet paper down the toilet. That is pretty unfortunate for a hotel like this.

Pros: Property was really nice and spotless

Cons: we had 2 issues, WIFI and with the hot water that wouldn’t come out, we had to ask for help every time we needed to shower, stayed in the escondido room its the one in the bottom hence the problem with getting hot water. WIFI would connect but didn’t work the staff provided 2 other connections but those didn’t work either. Over all our stay of 1 night was normal.

Pros: This hotel is a good deal. For the price, you have a nice location, a little out of the busy streets. It is still noisy in the morning because it's located above a stoned street... but that's the same for every hotel almost. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is good, and breakfast is good. We have liked the bigger room called bougainvillea and we would gladly return. They have a partnership with a parking lot nearby, so it's quite convenient. This hotel is older than others, and its decoration is a little old fashioned. However, because it is sparkling clean and very very well maintained, it has kept its charm and it is not a problem at all. We also liked that our room kept the heat and we didn't get cold at night even at this time of the year !

Cons: It is winter and temperature can reach 3-4 degrees during the night, there is no hitter and rooms are really cold

Pros: The property it’s clean and beautiful, it will reminds you an old mansion with confortable services of the modern era, the customer service was great and they try the best to become your stay in something special.

Cons: If some person of advanced age try to visit this hotel, will suffer the consequences of the location because the streets are very small and the inclination is huge, even you can use a taxi, the magic of the city its to walk but only if you are in shape or your age allowed. Besides that... its perfect

Pros: The staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good. We had a comfortable room with a nice view.

Cons: Finding the hotel was miserable. The desk clerk said that finding the hotel is often a problem, even with GPS. The streets were laid out long ago, and some of them were simply walking paths or burro trails. Once we located the hotel it was no problem.

Pros: Location is OK, not easy to get the adress, so, once I arrived, was very easy to move around and come back. Brekfast good and light. Good atention from the staff and friendly.

Pros: It's a beautifully decorated hotel in a great location near the Mirador. The mattress was comfortable and the covers were warm and cozy. It was also nice to have a heater for chilly nights. The workers were very friendly and helpful, especially Tomas.

Cons: My sheets weren't changed the entire week I was there. The rooftop terrace was under construction and I wasn't told this when I booked, as it's listed as a main feature of the hotel. One day the manager unlocked and walked into my room, without knocking, when I had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, this really creeped me out, especially as a solo female traveler. He said they were cleaning the rooms, but then I got dressed and left so they could clean, and they never did! I will not stay here again because of this incident. Totally unacceptable. The hotel is not eco-friendly, the water is in small plastic bottles instead of a garrafon for refilling, and the coffee maker uses those Keurig single use pods. Breakfast was the same every day. The hot water in the shower only lasted 2-3 minutes. For the price, I would expect more attention to detail, and privacy.
