Pros: Reasonable price for a comfortable overnight stay. Seamless check in/out and payment process
Cons: -
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The location, the difficulty of access, the shower, the seat by the - so-called- desk.
7.1 Good
Pros: Relatively inexpensive Room was clean
Cons: The hotel was away from city center and train station. Rooms are small.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The automated booking system at the hotel, it wasn't made very clear how we were supposed to get our 6 figure code, it took some time to work out we had use there was a touchscreen in reception. It have been easier if this was sent via the confirmation email and explained how to use it in the email. We were stuck for some time outside the gate thinking we would never get in. Not happy about that. Also the contact number did not work so I couldn't phone anyone to ask for an explanation.

2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The worst reception! Even more, after 6pm!!! Somebody were trying to open my door 30 minites before check out. The problem is the employees, not the hotel
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff was very professional and the facilities were clean.
Cons: The hotel was situated outside of the city centre and you had to park at a shopping mall nearby.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The dining room and foyer were ok, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.. nice crusty French bread, croissants etc. What let's it down is the fact that it's a very old place needs upgraded and refurbished and some more investment and maintenance.
Cons: This hotel is a nightmare, Faulty Towers doesn't have a look in. To start with we had to go up 3 flights of stairs with no lift. The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. We arrived at the hotel to a tiny cramped room with no air-conditioning which smelt of human faeces which were still lying in the pan from the last customers. The bed was squashed up against the wall, The smell was so bad and the since there was no air-conditioning we asked for a fan. The decor was that of the 1970's. The restaurant.... well we asked for the drinks menu which disintegrated and it was a fixed menu which wasn't really that great, but for the sake of good manners we didn't want to get up and leave so we stayed. The lack of air-conditioning made it worse as it was boiling so we decided to hang out a little in the foyer which was nice but the decor resembled a massage parlour from the 70's. The man at reception was nice and he moved us to a different room with a bathroom which whistled all night. The bedroom lamps and bathroom lights didn't work and there was no hot water.. so cold showers. What let's it down is the fact that it's a very old place needs upgraded and refurbished and some more investment and maintenance.
7.5 Good
Pros: great value, cute furniture/decoration (retro 70's ? idk i wasn't born then ! - dark colors but tastefully set), polite staff, I had a rather calm and pleasant stay.
Cons: ac not working properly in my room which made for a very hot atmosphere (i visited the hotel during summer - this wouldn't have been a problem otherwise). some pieces of the wallpaper (corners especially) were a little damaged. no fridge. the neighbors can be heard if they choose to chat in the hallway, or when they use their bathroom (the pipes or walls around them must be quite old) - fortunately, they did not do so at inconvenient times !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: All around a very good place to stay overnight. Next to a coffeeshop and a big supermarket. Trainstation is in close range.
Cons: very small but clean bathroom.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good value for money and clean, good breakfast, lady serving the breakfast was also very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Strange check in policy and not made clear before you book. It’s not possible to check in before 18.00, which made it difficult for us as we were going to a wedding! Our friends who’d been staying the night before offered to collect the key but the owners made a huge song and dance about it saying it was not possible and check in is strictly after 18.00 and he was quite rude on the phone!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing. The internet was not too slow.
Cons: The pictures made the hotel look better than it actually was. The hotel is on a busy street across from a L'Clerq supermarket and parking lot, quite ugly. The building is quite worn down giving an uncomfortable feeling. It had more the feeling of a youth hostel than a hotel. For that reason, I felt it was overpriced. We paid for a double room, which had quite a small bed and only one light lamp, making it impossible for one of us to read in bed. This is the problem with booking.com but the pictures can be quite deceiving

Cons: Shower area inside a narrow bathtub is too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location is excellent, and the parkplatz was very easy to access. The Staff were very friendly and the facilities were very clean and welcoming. The indoor pool and spa were very relaxing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: King suite is amazing, great location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was good staff friendly and breakfast was good except room very warm with the amount of people there.
Cons: Room was a triple bedded room which could have done with some fresh air. the bathroom heater was trowing out heat full blast the whole time, with no way to turn it off, which made the room quiet hot even with the window open!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great selection for breakfast, very friendly staff, very comfortable rooms and excellent locations between vineyards and the centre of Riquewihr
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel with large parking. Lobby bar with wine tasting and friendly barman (he explained about all the wines we tasted, etc...). Good rooms with nice views (everywhere - on the one side vineyard, on other - city with vineyards). Good value of money. Nice spa zone with swimming pool and small gym.
Cons: Gym is very simple: there are no dumbbells, the weights are very small, there is no fitball. Receptionists are not very friendly: she didn't extended our stay on checkin (at 12-00 a.m.), told to come in the morning (why?). In the morning she told, that there is no rooms of my type... Also I wanted not to loose time and to go to the gym before receiving the key from the room, she told "it's impossible without key". After checking they gave me separate key for gym - strange, I just lost time waiting...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The family bedroom we had was a duplex and we loved it. Very large, private and clean
Cons: They offer food at the bar in the evening. The food was not good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room - family suite. Enjoyed the formule express petit dejeuner. It was good. Pool is nice, didnt get to use the spa. The workout room could be a lot larger with a better set of weights, balls, treadmills, etc. Parking was not easy - hotel was apparently full. Location is excellent - calm and in the vineyards.
Cons: Gym needs some work.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The village is great: a little away from the main tourist villages, which makes it an excellent place for a mindful holiday. The hotel is located in a historic building. The furniture is old but well preserved and it contributes to the authentic atmosphere of the place.
Cons: The rooms and the beds are small, we wished they were bigger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, quiet yet on the main road, traditional style yet confortable and classy, old fashioned yet with all modern facilities- lift, warm rooms. Breakfast was good and abondant. Fresh breads and pastries plus much much more. Large beds with comforters, clear rooms, great easily accessible bathroom. Easy parking in front of the hotel entrance.
Cons: NA
4.2 Okay
Pros: Restaurant for dinner was fine. Beds comfortable
Cons: 12€ for a very simple breakfast was extortionist. Bedroom was from another era - intentional? - and not updated since the 60's maybe with linoleum on the bathroom floor, no shower curtain and the oldest looking carpets ever. Bar service almost on existent. No tonic water and the lights in the restaurant fused on Friday night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food in the restaurant. Best foie gras dish in Alsace, absolute harmony. ❤️
Cons: Some mattresses were outdated.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large, nicely furnished with a balcony that had a nice view of the town and the black forest mountains in the distance. It was warm and the beds were very comfortable, and quiet at night.
Cons: Could have been a little more variety of cold cuts and cheeses at breakfast, but we were a little late...9.30am and the breakfast finished at 10am, so maybe they were all gone!
Kanzel Residences - Riquewihr - Building
11
8.8 Excellent (234 reviews)
C$ 208+
Overview Reviews
Located in Beblenheim, Kanzel Residences is a 4-minute drive from NaturOparC and 6 minutes from Château Girsberg. Featured amenities include a safe deposit box at the front desk and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Very quiet and lots of privacy. The pool was excellent. There is a sauna and showers near the pool. The scenery is just marvelous.
Cons: Kitchenette is really small with very limited cooking functionality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location in the middle of the vineyards, the buildings, the spacious accomodations, and the pool area surrounded by old trees were all wonderful. The kitchen in our apartment had everything you needed to prepare small meals, and sitting outside just in front of the apartment with our morning coffee and a view of the vineyards was heavenly! We left our car at home and brought our bikes on the train, but even so, Kanzel Residences was easy to reach from the Colmar train station - as were restaurants and shops in Beblenheim, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé and Kaysersberg (no need to bike on the major roads, there are excellent bike paths through the vineyards which allow you to avoid traffic).
Cons: The only thing less than perfect was that we had no WiFi access in our room during the stay - we had to go to the reception area or close to the pool. Caroline and Serge tried their very best to have this fixed, though, but it was apparently a major technical problem.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was arranged perfectly with a lot of attention to the details. Very welcoming place. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find and easy check-in with the friendly host. The room and bathroom were very spacious and we had everything we needed. It’s location is nice and convenient for sightseeing. Comfortable bed and it was nice and quiet during the night.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing could be better!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - Carolina is a great host. After we arrived we could immediately enter our appartement, no unnecesary paperwork. Carolina showed us the appartement. - The appartement was soo nice. Big kitchen with everything you need. Big bathroom and nice terrace. We stayed with just the two of us. I believe we had one of the bigger appartments though. - There was also a great pool. Water temperature was perfect! Not too hot and not too cold. - A very good bakery nearby. Also a little supermarket. - Overall: defenitely reccomend!
Cons: - Nothing!

7.0 Good
Pros: Being in RIbeauville
Cons: The premises are located at the north of the village, walking distance to village center quite long especially for elderly. I understand that the period is peak season but the response to customer's need poor.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good room, very good breakfast ! Our stay was very comfortable.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location. Good view over the square. Didn't use sauna or hot tub but looked quite inviting.
Cons: Small bed but mattress and pillows quite comfortable. Tight squeeze to get into the shower.
7.5 Good
Pros: Food OK but breakfast eating area a bit cramped for space
Cons: There was 'parking', but it was in the street, 'Pets allowed' but 14€ per day is above average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an established hotel in the stunningly beautiful Alsatian town of Ribeauville. I am sure others know about this gem of a place, but we were happily surprised by the comfort of the room, the helpfulness of the staff, and the excellence of the food and drink. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was just plain awesome. So many little details had been considered for the comfort of the guests - good lighting for reading, very comfortable mattresses and pillows, a fan in the room, windows located for good ventilation, and comfortable seating for all of us. We loved it! Would love to go back.
Cons: Our room was on the top floor up a number stairs, which was a bit tough on the seniors in our party. The staff was very helpful in getting our luggage up the stairs, which was much appreciated. Otherwise, the room and stay was perfect!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel surrounded by amazing mediaeval buildings and wonderful vineyards
Le Schlossberg - Riquewihr - Building
13
8.4 Excellent (289 reviews)
C$ 103+
Overview Reviews
The Schlossberg hotel is ideally set in the heart of the old village of Zellenberg, amongst half-timbered Alsatian houses. This hotel will give you the choice between 9 spacious, air-conditioned rooms. Each room includes a TV, minibar and internet access. Some of the rooms have a private terrace and a view of the vineyards. Located opposite Riquewihr, 1 of the most visited villages in France, the hotel has also built its reputation on its top-quality restaurant serving some of the best local recipes in a warm atmosphere.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very quiet with a great view of vineyards and the Vosges Mountains. The room was fine, with cute Alsatian touches, such as folk designs painted on the door. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, the towels were thick. The entire room floor (bathroom too) was covered in carpet squares, nice on bare feet. And the terrace was big enough to enjoy the view from.
Cons: The check in was confusing: hotel is one building, restaurant where you check in is across the narrow street and down one house, The included dinner and breakfast were uninspired and not worth the money. Next time I'll take the room only! The owners (man especially) was unhelpful, he finally sent me to find his wife while he was using the internet.
7.1 Good
Pros: Charming location
Cons: Breakfast average. Bed not so confortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was nice and very typical/local. Would have appreciated the opportunity for an egg or other protein. Plenty of food, though, and the hosts did not scrimp.
4.0 Okay
Pros: nice location, easy access to parking and surrounding area.
Cons: Old and run-down hotel at a premium price point. Old beds and bedding, inconsistent heaters. Made the mistake of paying for a meal at the counter in front of the kitchen. The "office" space was utterly disgusting. very very dirty and disorganized. It made one question the cleanliness of the kitchen and rest of the facilities. All in all just a very tired feel. Not a place where we would return.
6.3 Good
Pros: very quaint hotel, very typical of the area. The Hotel is across from the restaurant and Zellenberg is very small with little more but it is in close proximity to other lovely places.
Cons: The rooms are very small and be aware that you must CANCEL breakfast not order it and you will be charged a portion of the price if you do not show up or cancel which we found somewhat odd. The restaurant has traditional food although not at great prices, it is a tourist location after all. Parking can be a problem specifically at busy periods.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the village are just stunning. Lovely short walk around the village was very enjoyable. The accommodation I had was great, very roomy and all the facilities I required. Coupled with the restaurant it made for a perfect stay. Unfortunately it was only for one night though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've loved the food in the hotel, the quality was great! Everything homemade and better than Michelin rewieved restaurants in the closed towns. It's located in a small town on the hill, with a wondeful view of the landscape. The hotel is in a 1500's house (just lovely), the room (aloyse) is big, so clean and comfortable. Parking is close to the hotel and it is free.

Pros: EV Destination Charger in the parking. Swimming pool and spa is nice. Good wine in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and comfortable room. Fantastic Sylvester diner into 2020 with a very good music orchestra. Very nice buffet breakfast well furnished with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, etc. for only 10 $. Very serviceable and friendly personnel, only roughly when stressed. Very good base location to visit Colmar, Strasbourg and the mountains like Vosges and Black Forest. There is as well a nice SPA area, but unfortunately we didn’t found time to spent a visit there due to too many other activities within our two days stay.

Pros: The spa was great and the location was nice.
6.0 Good
Cons: The rooms in the pictures look renovated, however it seems not all room are renovated.
6.0 Good
Cons: We booked a room for two in Hotel Le Menestrel. The Hotel is seen on the picture on top of this evaluation and was also seen during the booking proces. We parked at the hotel, and checked in at the reception. Then we got a (cellar) apartment in a separate bulding behind the hotel. It was a nice apartment, but we did not "live" in the hotel as we expected. My conclusion is, that we were a little bit cheated or misinformed during the booking proces. And the price was not low.

Pros: Always have a great stay at Le Menestral
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very quiet and in a good spot

Pros: Charming hotel, friendly staff, beautiful room, breakfast and dinner were great, hotel was relatively quiet considering that it’s right on the main road

Pros: We booked this last minute and due to extenuating circumstances, ended up arriving exceptionally late. The owner stayed until 1 a.m. to accommodate our check-in, welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The staff was always friendly, kind, and accommodating- helped us book dinner reservations, gave phenomenal recommendations and coordinated massages on a Sunday. We ended up staying three nights and couldn't recommend this lovely B&B more highly.

Pros: Nice room. WC & shower room renovated, really fresh. Breakfirst good. Privat parking.
Cons: The extra bed could have been of a better standard.

6.7 Good
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable.
