We wanted to have the traditional experience of accommodation, we certainly had that & more . The host was friendly and offered free bread, fried rice & eggs. Definitely worth a visit!!
There wasn’t anything to dislike!
Everything. It was cozy, close to the subway. The woman who had the place was supersweet.
I loved the location; tucked away from too much noise, but walking distance from Gyeongbukgong palace and the underground stations. It’s down a small alleyway next to a street full of small restaurants, so it can be easy to pass by if you’re not careful. I also found it to be a great value, and I was happy with the facilities and what was provided. As a solo traveler, the room was cozy and just what I needed while vacationing. The bedding was traditional style, along with floor heating. The shower was basic but the heat and water pressure were great! There’s wifi, and a kitchen as well if you’re a breakfast person. The guesthouse was also kept quite clean. I was really comfortable during my stay here and happy with what was provided. Most of all, during my stay I had no notable issues or concerns to speak of; I was comfortable and happy throughout my time here and I would certainly love to stay again if I’m in the area. I also liked the prompt communication with my host by email, who helped me get settled in without any hassle and made sure to be present at my stated arrival time. Make sure you communicate and book properly prior to your arrival. You'll get a door code to get into the house upon checking in.
Personally, I would happily stay again! In a sense, it is smaller; a single-floored, unassuming (though uniquely-styled) guesthouse, tucked behind a busier road. And I’d imagine since it’s usually just the guests there, that part of your enjoyment depends on the courtesy of your neighbors (when I stayed it was perfectly quiet). That said, it has a great value, it’s clean, and they provided everything I needed for a relaxing week. I didn’t get to take a look at the other rooms, so I can’t speak for what’s available for larger groups, but my room was perfect for my solo trip. I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone traveling around that area.
The whole hanok is ours
The bathroom can be cleaner and tidy. A lot of left over toiletry from previous guest.
The place is well located.. It is even near to place of kdrama scene..
