We came earlier and we were friendly met. The room is clean and bed is very big and comfortable. The plumbing was working very good. There wasn't any smell or insect. The location is very good, the very center. The staff is professional, fluent in English. Recommend.
A pretty courtyard in a great location. Everything you could possibly need is super close and it is still quiet at night.
I woke up the next morning with my whole body full of fleabites.
Good for solo or couple traveler as budget accommodation, not much far from MRT
A bit difficult to find this hostel at first
the room environment
the wifi is no strong enough
Good cat wandering around.
Please bare in mind before reading that we have never once left a bad review before! I traveled to Shanghai with a friend and arrived at the hostel at 00:30am. We rang ahead of time to check that we would be able to check-in after hours, and the receptionist on the phone couldn’t have sounded more displeased if she’d have tried. We were given our keys and told to find our rooms. In the rooms we found no toilet paper and in one room no running water, also, the windows were all open (let’s bare in mind February in Shanghai is bloody cold!) and when we went down to query our problems we were just told to move rooms and everything would be ok. Although we weren’t expecting a bustling and lively hostel, we certainly didn’t expect to be the only ones there. We have stayed in many hostels across Asia and have never once felt the need to leave a negative review. It was a very unpleasant start and we checked out the next day. Needless to say they gave us our money back and sent us on our way. We moved to another hostel for the same price that was significantly better and more accommodating. Would not recommend.
