Very poor servicePros:The paperwork etc was handled pretty efficientlyCons:1. Pick up location was changed but address wasn't communicated to us. Reminder mail from kayak received a day before with the same old address. 2. We arrived to find the 151 William Street, Sydney location locked and one small notice stuck to it informing us that the office had relocated. 3. Tried calling their telephone numbers frantically but got no reply. 4. Went to the relocated office address and found no signs etc so could not locate the office again.. Getting very desperate by now and felt I had been scammed! 5. Luckily saw a Sixt employee on the street in a yellow jacket... Approached him and told our issues. His response was we were not the first to have such issues and definitely not the last... Office had relocated over the weekend in what appears to be with very little planning. 6. He graciously left what he was doing to take us to the relocated office. Overall a very pathetic experience booking via Kayak and priceline!Reviewed 7 Jul. 2018

Not as good a deal by comparisonPros:We hired two different cars in a month period with Sixt (in two different cities) and this is for the second hire. Staff were friendly and did a thorough review of the car before we took it awayCons:Compared to the first car we hired, it wasn't a very economical car in terms of petrol - it burned through fuel incredibly quickly, and wasn't very efficient in changing gears (an automatic) which didn't help matters. Considering the other car we used was smaller, it was a lot more efficient, so I wonder whether it needed a service. We were also told to call the team when we dropped off the car so they could inspect it, but the phone was constantly engaged, so we had to walk to the other office to get someone. No one was on the phone, and it was really quiet, so not sure why the number didn't work. Luckily, it didn't cause an issue.Reviewed 13 Mar. 2017

Solid rentalPros:The car and service were good. Due to the transition/move of sixt from one Mascot to Banksmedow, we had to use a taxi, although the staff did pay for it. This change was not on our paperwork, but as said, they paid the cab fare. Radio did not work, but van was plenty big for family of 6.Reviewed 14 Jun. 2018

Branch locationPros:Car was OK, price was good. we were the only ones in the branch so the process was relatively fastCons:the location of the return is not the branch location and its almost impossible to find, took us 40 min to try and get there with all available navigation software with no luck, at the end, i just drove to the branch and wanted to leave it there and then they explained us how to get to the return place. When you take the car they check every scratch which is not a good sign, once they took the car out from the branch, we found more than handful scratches/dents in the car that were "invisible" due to the lights in the branch. When we finally returned it, it took them 15 min to go over the car to validate we did not add any new scratches/dents, good for us we noticed all before we left.Reviewed 20 Apr. 2017

We need a refund because it was horriblePros:We arrived in Sydney Australia after a long trip, they sixt rental people wree nowhere to be found. All the workers at the airport had never heard of them. The other rental car companies tried to help us but no one knew where Sixt was we went from terminal to terminal with all of our luggage. We called all of the phone numbers listed on our papers but no one answered. When we finally reached a person he said that he could not help us because he was in a different location. He told us to go stand by the curb and maybe by chance a shuttle would show up. We asked him if he could call a shuttle and he said he was too busy. No one ever returned our calls from the messages we left. We emailed Sixt corporate and they didn't respond. After wasting 3 hours trying to connect with Sixt, we took the train to our hotel This experience ruined our time in Sydney. I would recommend that you get us a refund and stop booking for Sixt in Australia. Cons:When we landed in Sydney, the shuttle was nowhere to be found. Asked all the other rental car stations, and no one was even aware of a Sixt rental car, so we thought we had been scammed. Very difficult getting hold of customer service, finally got hold of the US one who told us where to go. Walked down the end and still, no shuttle to be found. Called again but they didn't have a number for the AUS Sixt either ("emergency" line was just busy all the time) ONE HOUR later, we got hold of the driver of the shuttle to come get us, took 30 minutes in traffic.
