Pros: Great location! Easy access to holetown via bus or walking (30 min). Fish market stand right across from hotel. Beach is 2 min walk from hotel. Staff are quite helpful! The security guard was very nice- friendly and helpful! Very comfortable and clean in the living unit! Very eco-friendly with the air conditioning unit! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Barbados!
Cons: It would be nice to have a larger balcony!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly people, quite to relax, the nature to enjoy, it was a wonderful stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: (2 adults 2 kids) we loved the place and truly recommend, if you are searching for what we have found: - three pools - very friendly and helpful staff (from cleaning staff, to security staff to gardener and all others) - clean and well maintained facilities. Daily room cleaning. Fully equipped kitchen. Big rooms. Good sleeping. - welcome drinks at the breathtaking private house of the hotel’s owners every Thursday - beach across the road, which you can walk at low tide to Sandy Lane Beach - rental cars available on the property, very easy, convenient as no need to bother to return car after excursion - very good restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - Mike and his family are great hosts and the food is delicious - perfect for a dinner at the pool while kids can enjoy the pool. Two special dinners served (Italian Night and BBQ night) - the Cliff Restaurant just across the street - bus stop in front of hotel to jump on yellow bus south to Bridgetown or north to Holetown/Speightstown - fish market on the beach if you fancy fresh fish and vegetables/eggs to cook on your own in the apartment - WiFi in apartment and next to pools - and more...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The suites were beautifully laid out. We were on the first floor and the pool was our backyard. The food was delicious. They have beach chairs and umbrellas for guest to use free of charge. Beautiful beach was right across the street.
Cons: The early morning housekeeping. Make sure to put the do not disturb sign on the door unless you like 8am door banging. Shuttle to take you to Holetown only at 10 or 10:45 am which was fine for us but they didn't inform us you will need to find your way back on your own until we inquired about pick up.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great view over the ocean. Close to Holetown. Rooms are large and well equipped.
Cons: Very noisy - other reviews have complained about the main road but in my experience the partying that goes on and roosters (starting at 3 every morning) from the neighbours makes for one not getting much sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
Cons: Didn’t like entrance to property. Not clearly defined or marked. Short

Pros: Very relaxed wonderful hotel highly recommend
Cons: I did not want to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beachside restaurant, gardens, comfortable bedchairs! Snorkels and watersports.
Cons: We would have liked a tv in the room!
7.5 Good
Pros: A very pretty hotel with lovely garden Excellent chambermaid Wi-Fi throughout Free afternoon tea Good pool
Cons: The lighting in the bedroom was so poor it was difficult to read. Hard to see dinner - only lit by one candle. It may look good, but not fit for purpose The breakfast could have been better. No choice of Muesli, no bananas (in the Caribbean!). All rather pedestrian. Pool staff left towels on sunbeds even when they were obviously unoccupied, and failed to clear empty glasses. The hotel did not feel welcoming as so many of the guests were repeat annual bookings, knew each other and monopolised the bar area before dinner. I know some other guests felt the same way. Lacked a basic business facility.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great and really friendly staff, beautiful garden, all inclusive water sports, nice restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet sophisticated small property. Just what I was looking for. Beautiful morning breakfast views. Very helpful friendly staff. Excellent stay.
Cons: Unable to to find something I didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It feels like a tropical paradise. The landscaping was gorgeous. The room was clean, cozy, beautiful. And everyone was so nice!
Cons: It would be nice to have a less formal restaurant or somewhere more casual to eat by pool, or on property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ocean view suite and breakfast service was delightful, Snorkling on the House reef. Will the General Manager was very visible, early morning walks to Speightstown along the beach and the whole location and ambience was wonderful.
Cons: Happy Hour for sundowners would have been nice and a simplified lunch service ie sandwiches, snacks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is nothing short of incredible. The facilities are great, the food is the best I’ve had but the the best thing about Cobblers are the staff. Incredibly friendly, they take the tome to stop and chat to you rather just just say hi, full of chat with local hints and tips! They could not be more accommodating and welcoming if they tried. They even noted small conversations we had about it being our wedding anniversary and left a bottle of champagne in the room with a congrats note. It is a great location in a quiet area, small hotel too so not large crowds round to pool to deal with. Right on a beautiful beach and water sports just to the side. It’s a small piece of paradise on an amazing island!
Cons: It was so good it was hard to explore the rest of the island....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great..great suite, great Management, great staff, great location.
Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the location is perfect and our fellow guests all seemed to be totally chilled out. We loved it.
Cons: The restaurant facilities concentrate on high end catering but there are enough options close by that it was not a problem.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfasts with champagne flowing for the whole time.....
Cons: Underwhelming reception for a returning guest...

9.5 Excellent
Pros: An extremely well run hotel with exceptional facilities and staff, and one of the highlights are the beautiful well kept gardens which are fantastic.
Cons: I was under the impression that the yoga class was one of the facilities that was included in the hotel price, I had checked it in the book of instructions in my room and NO mention was made of any charge, but when I turned up I was asked to pay $45 BBD on my room bill.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the friendliest waiters and bar staff and pool/beach attendants that I've experienced anywhere. Most of them seemed genuinely happy and wanted people to have a good time. They were smiley and attentive, and always happy to help.
Cons: We liked everything about the Coral Reef Club. This is our second time staying at the property and we find it relaxed atmosphere. The food in the restaurant is delicious such as the fish daily specials and the salads. The evening meal was as good if not better than any of the other recommended restaurants we tried in the area. The kids enjoyed the buffet in the evening. The sandpiper food was also very good - especially the curry. Lovely beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so friendly and happy. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the hotel. It is like a big family. The O Haras are doing a wonderful job. It’s one of my favourite places in the world and I travel a lot.
Cons: Nothing to not like ! Everything was perfect.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room upgrade without asking and allowed check-in as soon as room was ready and to use the facilities before that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were nicer than expected. The grounds are excellently maintained and full of a huge variety of beautiful flowers and plants. Service was excellent. Owners are very present and make sure everything is tip top. Non-motorize water sports are including in the price of the resort which is really nice. I highly recommend a guided hobby cat tour. Food was some of the best we had in the Caribbean. Definitely make the BBQ night if you can - Thursdays. Overall an excellent experience. We will be back.
Cons: This is not the hotel's fault but my only complaint is that local taxis seem to take advantage of tourists and charge 25 - 50% more than published rates to take you from one place to another. Also, taxi fee to return to the airport on departure was literally double the arrival fee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good choice of quality food, great staff.Well maintained beautiful gardens. Cold drinking water dispensers dotted around property. Complimentary mid morning flavoured sorbet served on beach. Good wifi in rooms. Evening music in restaurant.
Cons: Noisy service trollies with solid wheels, pneumatic tyres would be better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel grounds were beautifully kept, the facilities were all of a very high quality, the service was exemplary and there was always lots of space for peace and tranquility if wanted! Overall, one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.
Cons: hotel is very quiet which is great if that's what you want from your holiday. As most of the occupants were couples with an average age well over 50 the vibe works well!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Plantation Suite great. Breakfast great. Location great. Restaurant food excellent but a little limited. Staff wonderful. Beach amazing. Beach service brilliant. Bar very well stocked. A little old school, but overall highly recommended.
Cons: Only issue is age of gym equipment and ancient barely functional AC in the fitness centre. Plunge pool could have done with a clean. Bar in room needed better stocking and facilities. Beer not really cold enough at the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good!
Cons: Our room has had a toaster which was useless since there was no bread. We wish we had a coffee maker instead. (with coffee bags included, of course:).
Waves Hotel & Spa by Elegant Hotels - Speightstown - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
Located in Prospect, this beachfront property is in a provincial park and within 1 mi (2 km) of Batts Rock Beach and Paradise Beach. Brighton Beach and Barbados Polo Club are also within 3 mi (5 km).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Waves is situated in a fantastic position right on a beautiful sandy beach. All inclusive guests can use the free water taxi to get to sister hotels. At one of these drinks are free and you can book a free lunch too. The staff are amazing at Waves. They are very friendly and do everything they can to give holiday makers a fantastic time. The waiters provide a great service bringing drinks out to the beach and the pool side. They even bring out cold towels, frozen grapes and icecream to help everyone cool off a little. The service in the restaurants is great. Thanks to the lovely Jennifer and Sharon and all the others wine and water is kept topped up and other drinks provided on request. The food is good in the 2 on site restaurants, especially in the Asian restaurant, where it is beautifully presented. If you miss lunch you can get tasty salads and toasties in the cafe. Jacqueline and all the staff on the front desk are kept busy but they are always happy to help. We really enjoyed the live music in the bar every evening. We saw some very talented performers which could make lovely back ground music but really deserved to be listened to. I had a birthday at Waves but we didn't tell the staff. However, they noticed and brought cake and wine to our room. It was such a lovely touch. An unintrusive way to mark the occasion. The inclusive water sports on the beach very good.
Cons: Each morning you need to book your evening meal and sometimes choice of time is a bit limited. Personally I would have liked more choice in white wine. It was sauvignon or chardonnay. Our toilet didn't flush too well so maybe some of the bathrooms need some updating although it was a nice big shower and kept beautifully clean by the lovely Pauline and the rest of the team.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our room was large king on the second floor (209) with a great view of the beach and ocean. It is a small to medium size hotel With a great clear turquoise water Very calm. The food is tasty even though it’s an all Inclusive hotel The selection is limited but every dish Is great with a lot of attention. The stuff is 10+ Really.
Cons: Entertainment was to laid back most of the days. The pool is not on the ocean side. No bar at the beach or close.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the time we arrived, we were treated very courteous. The entire staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Allowed late checkout and extra lunch. Food was delicious, excursions were awesome, view was spectacular. Look forward to coming back in the near future.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything
Cons: Leaving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Food, Staff, Views, Facilities. Loved everything about the hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very good and a joy to speak to, they went out of their way to help with a smile.
Cons: The restaurant was very hot with no Air Con as it is open plan. This detracted from the dining experience as you get very uncomfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good although not extensive choice, staff were excellent
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The beach was lovely, the staff was very professional and helpful. The facilities were good and the motorised watersports were also included. We had a Bajan cooking demo run buy the chef which was great
Cons: the food was nice but it had a lot of western food options but we would have preferred more local Bajan dishes
6.3 Good
Pros: Generally was clean and a nice hotel, but struggling to get to a 4* rating
Cons: 1. When we arrived were told our room was across a main road from the main hotel building, this is not in any of the hotel description. 2. The room above us was extremely noisy, every time they moved could hear the footsteps and vibrations the noise transfer is terrible. 3. The all inclusive service was very slow for drinks etc when at the beach, they probably come round 4 times per day to get you a drink. 4. When you check out from an all inclusive beach hotel at midday as a minimum there should be a shower facility offered to you past your check out time, we were told we had to be out of the room by midday and that there was no late check out, courtesy room or shower facility so we’re pretty bored until our 8pm flight as couldn’t use the beach or pool. 5. Lunch options were very poor, it was a buffet option with only 4 dishes not really what was expected.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Lots of choice. The place is best for location and pools/beach. The food generally was a little underwhelming except for Lone Star, which I would highly recommend.
Cons: The food.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel if you like nature. This was our second visit to that hotel and our 3rd visit to Barbados. Very attractive gardens and nice beach, ideal swimming conditions, no seaweeds during our stay in June. Plenty of beach umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds too. Very attentive pool/beach staff, especially the beach attraction team. The watersports team is also great, they were teaching us to sail and water ski. The daily breakfast buffet had very fresh food of wide variety. The daily treats served on the beach (canapes, frozen grapes, ice cream, cold face towels) were a nice surprise! We highly recommend renting a car and taking a drive around the Island.
Cons: It would be great if the hotel had its own souvenir shop (beach bags, baseball caps, thermoses, T-shirts, etc.).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the staff Rooms were clean and comfortable Grounds clean and beautiful. Beach is clean and calm Enough beach lounger to go around Love hearing the birds on the property. Love the Koi Pond
Cons: Wish we had more varieties of Island cuisine and fruits that we cannot get in the states. More nightly entertainment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast buffet every morning. Nice selection of food.
Cons: Shower had a half door. Water sprayed out on the floor and counter. Really need a shower curtain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very convenient with easy access to many good restaurants just a short taxi ride away. The free water sports made for a great deal of fun and welcome relief, when required from just laying around on sun beds. The staff at the hotel generally were very friendly and always helpful with the odd exception. Food at the hotel was superb as the day starts with a great breakfast!
Cons: The early start to reserve a sunbed on the beach was a pain but proved necessary if you wanted to avoid being under a tree all day! The evening entertainment was not at the level I would expect. Birds in the restaurant were a nuisance but that is what you get with an open dining room so not a major issue. Some investment is needed in the rooms, particularly the shower to maintain a 4 Star standard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were attending Barbados for a wedding. Guests were spread over various hotels. The hotel was immaculate. We visited a few other hotels to see friends and we walked away very happy with what we had in comparison. the destination on the west coast meant warm water, calm water and beautiful miles and miles of sand. We swam with turtles, snorkelled. the resort is so relaxing. highly recommend
Cons: Quite far from outside resteraunts so would be cheaper if you had a hire car if you want to eat outside the hotel for a change but that is pushing me to find fault.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Ok
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful and well maintained gardens. Well furnished and maintained rooms
Cons: Service poor. Staff took little notice of requests for certain foods. E.g. we asked for soya milk several times and the staff brought cows milk instead which we found out after drinking it..This led to allergic reaction, that lasted until our return to the UK. This is worrying if you have a severe nut allergy. Bed sheets don’t fit the bed so you’ll be up at night remaking the bed. No usable dressing table and mirror. Espresso machine in the room unusable as cups provided don’t fit. Requested cups to fit Espresso machine and an extension lead for hair dryer, our repeated requests were ignored. Service and attention to detail worthy of two star rating. Note, management sympathetic and make all the right noises but nothing really changes.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly and hotel in good location
Cons: Rooms damp and not very clean. Had to move because first room offered on ground floor was so damp. Decor and furniture very old, bathrooms not nice and generally all internal areas in need of upgrading and refurbishment. Food not great and probably one of the worse breakfasts I have ever eaten at a hotel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff make this place - very friendly and welcoming, always keen to help. Without the staff this would be a very limited and over priced experience.
Cons: For the price (if you pay the rack rate) there are much better places in the Caribbean. While the rooms are perfectly pleasant and the hotel is small, so more personal, the food is pretty terrible for the quality of place and takes a long time to come.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Food
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing at all apart from the location.
Cons: nothing apart from the location. very disappointing. I am well travelled and would not recommend this hotel. iIt is very tired and in need of total refurbishment. Dining room staff very poorly trained. Service extremely poor. Food very disappointing - Don't stay here.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place was excellent. However, it was hit and miss with the restaurant and bar being open, plus it is way out of town, and without a car, you cannot really shop. It is also a long way away from the airport, but all of that said, the apartment was amazing, and the beach and pool too.
Cons: Restaurant opening times. Bar opening times. You really need a car to go out, otherwise you are walking around with heavy bags in very hot weather.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great luxury relaxing break with good facilities - two pools / beach / bar / restaurant on site / gym / daily apartment cleaning services / close to hole town shops (via car or bus) - 30 mins drive to Bridgetown - great location to enable full relaxation with the ability to get around to north and south of the island with ease - just love this place and been there 2nd yr in a row.
Cons: Nothing - would say hire a car as easier to drive around to other towns / Bridgetown via car or can bus if you like - location is convenient and close to holetown for food shopping etc / restaurants in speigtsgtown / holetown but definitely private and relaxed - if you want to be switched off this is the place and the staff are fantastic.
6.3 Good
Pros: the apartments and the view were immaculate
Cons: - We paid part of the money on the card and part of the money in cash. Already 2 weeks we can not get a refund of the deposit 500 USD. The management says that they have not taken the deposit with us. It looks like a scam. Be sure to request billing documents. Be sure to read the document with a mark on the return of the deposit. -one night the neighbors below sang and roared until 4 am. And no one made a remark to them. This bulo is not comfortable. -for three days the workers repaired the clogging of the sink. For 3 hours every day, the workers were in the kitchen all the time, and we could not rest well on those days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartments are beautiful and whole property is well kept. There is everything you could possibly need on the compound and you need something more, the wonderful staff will arrange it for you. Felt like our own little piece of paradise.
Cons: Bed was a bit harder than I would’ve liked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful environment lovely view of the marina. Great access the beach and our very own plung pool. Great staff.
Cons: That the stay wasn't longer

Pros: Everything! Great location. Comprehensive welcome pack. Reception desk very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Food shops not accessible by foot walk.
7.0 Good
Pros: The sunset bar was closed when we were there so the only option was the yatch club which closed at 6pm. The food was good and the staff were very nice. The apartment was lovely and well equipped with everything we needed. Best to have a car to travel if travelling to other restaurants on the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An amazing place to stay in Barbados. Port st Charles was a perfect base to see multiple locations. We had a hire car so travelling about was easy. Port st Charles itself is gorgeous and the staff extremely helpful. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day and sheets changed and towels washed and dried with enough spare to keep you going. Apartments are well equipped just like you would at home so for those lazy days where you want to relax on your balcony or by the pool in the evening you can easily cook dinner. If you need a good supermarket, go to the one in holetown. We are out as often as we ate in since you can get such great produce and cooked foods in the take away shacks dotted around. Gym was well equipped Beach lovely (don’t forget to ask reception to pull beds and parasol out) The yacht club is lovely with a pool bar and beds on a deck out in the water where you see the occasional turtle to swim with. Truly a lovely place to stay and can’t wait to go back again.

Pros: average breakfast - nothing special. We get clean room as it i expected for extremely high price and 5 star hote
Cons: beach is not nice, restaurant is poor quality. It is shame that you are so overpriced. I compare you with Coral Reef Club where we stay 2 weeks over New Year and than we moved to your hotel where we expect much higher quality as we pay it significantly more expensive that Coral Reef Club where we had breakfast and dinner (and New Year dinner) included in price. You are only hotel who charged me 100% upfront payment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Execelent service, good food, problem solvers, great facilities, one of the best hotels I've gone too in terms of service and commitment to the guest's experience. Will love to go back with my family. Very happy with our stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view from room with wonderful sunsets. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Cons: The food was generally disappointing and expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You can see that this hotel does all it can to meet your every need. We will be coming back to this hotel, this hotel has no faults.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and beach. Room renovation. Deck off room overlooking ocean. Property maturity and grace. The staff is not intrusive. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and the fruit and made to order eggs excellent. The concierge staff nice, but we had made our dinner reservations ahead of arrival. Had we not, there would have been trouble finding reservations. Many luxury resorts email guests prior to arrival with restaurant and attractions info offering to make arrangements in advance.
Cons: For the astronomic rates, including the ground floor room location surcharge, expectations of more amenities was disappointing, such as the absence of a stocked minibar in the room or complimentary drinks in rooms and beach. Many Caribbean resorts with similarly beautiful locations offer equal privacy with better attention to detail. The room mini fridge was empty throughout our stay and a note in the room apologized for it. However, after checking out, I noticed an additional room charge on my credit card. When I emailed the hotel I was told the charge was for mini-bar consumption! Clearly a human error, but one that is unacceptable for a resort of this kind. With a few notable exceptions, the staff was flat-affected and tired looking and the breakfast buffet understaffed. That is, service could be significantly more attentive. The main restaurants cannot be confused with prime dining. Our server was an itinerant young lady who was being bounced bounced between the two and openly confessed not to be familiar with the menu. Despite these constructive criticisms, we had a good time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was all fresh, best I have ever eaten. The staff made us feel so at home. The grounds were surrounded by a tropical garden with tall palm trees. The place was impeccably clean. All restaurants and the bar were open air right beside the beach. We had a view of the beautiful Caribbean ocean the entire time. We will definitely stay there again when we return soon.
Cons: Nothing the best vacation I have ever had, and it was the first time that I travelled out of the United,States
7.5 Good
Pros: It had a nice beach and our villa was very comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast room is very tired and needs a complete renovation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and always smiling.
Cons: Everything was lovely
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel location and renovated bedroom including balcony - direct beach view - the old and new Bajan Staff
Cons: Some of the changes being made have reduced the attraction to a number of regular guests - this includes stopping the Sunday BBQ, the new changes to the reception decore detract from the Colonial feel of the property and having breakfast in the Palm Restuarant rather than Tobaras Restauarant seems a backward step. In addition some of the furniture in the Palm Reatauarant is old and tired with rips in the leather - also the Managers Cocktail Party is not followed by the normal buffet which was well received by past guests. I feel that the new owners of the Fairmont albeit having spent millions on the room renovations (which are lovely) are reducing the appeal of a Bajan favourite by increasing room rates after December 2018 but at the same time taking away some of the Bajan feel (including the complimentary afternoon tea to 1 complimentary within 7 day stay) The Bajan staff continue to be lovely and a joy to guests old and new but the German Accor Hotels Management in situ (a German Lady) seems to be making changes for changes sake which is a backward step to many guests of long standing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were EXTREMELY clean which is my top priority when choosing a hotel. They were very modern and upscale especially the bathroom with the push bottom rain shower and the bedroom with the cedar closets and the remote controlled air conditioning unit.
Cons: My only cons were that one of our two rooms was not ready on time but one was so we stayed there until the other was ready. They gave us a small bottle of champagne for our inconvenience. The other con was that that there were not enough restaurants on the property. The ones there had excellent food and perfect service but were very expensive. Spent over $200 USD for 4 of us per meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms have great views and are very nicely decorated and spacious. The link hotel looks beautiful against its turquoise beach background and surrounded by tropical flowers. Most people that work there are friendly (not all). Swimming with turtles and complimentary afternoon tea!
Cons: The menus could be updated with local cuisine. While the food is ok, the options are a little tired.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The shower had been refurbished.
Cons: The room was dirty. Cracked tiles on floor. Cracked hob. Noisy fridge freezer. Cracked sink. Towels were grey and thread bare. This was supposed to be an apartment. It was no more than a bed sit and a poor one at that. Will be asking for a refund.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect - would definitely recommend staying in Holetown and the hotel was low key, clean and had fabulous views. We were very happy with our choice. Staff were very helpful and lovely. Supermarket over the road, numerous excellent restaurants and bars. We were sorry our stay was only for a few days. Hire car delivered and picked up from hotel and we drove fairly easily all over the island from our base.
Cons: No negatives at all for us. The simplicity suited us perfectly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The views, the staff, the room, the kitchenette, the location! I could gush for hours about this hotel. See review under hgitty on trip advisor. Bottom line, it's a hidden gem.
Cons: Literally nothing. When we went the restaurant next door was closed, but that was probably for the best. less crowded parking lot. The kitchenette has an electric range, would have preferred gas :D. Can't think of anything else negative at all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff friendliness.
Cons: Floors needed to be swept. I would have done it if a broom were available in the room. The room had no ironing board or iron. Beach staff were gone by 630pm.

Pros: I liked everything about property!!!! Couldn’t be better!! Location is great!! Beach is spectacular!! Love love love!! Planning to come back!!
Cons: Nothing not to like!!! Everything was excellent !!!

Pros: Excellent location, good self catering facilities
Cons: Room on the top floor and no lift. Generally the property is tired and needs a facelift.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for beach, restaurants, bars, shopping & bus
Cons: Unable to access room util 3pm, Walls are thin, easy to hear people in next door room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Didn't use them for breakfast, went across to very a convenient supermarket 2 minutes away and prepared ourselves
Cons: Very Hard to find ANY FAULTS, This is such an ideal place, situation in the middle of everything Big Bonus is the staff, they go out of there way to connect with you, friendly, funny and always smiling under severe pressure at times One small thing is the cushioned seating on sun-loungers, they are very tired and in general need replacing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and staff were amazing
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was good. right on the beach, very close to transport routes and Supermarket for self catering supplies. Also Zaccios restaurant on site was good. Maids were in every day and the cleanliness was good.
Cons: Basic food quality around the Hotel location was sometimes quite poor. The accommodation was adequate but is in need of decoration at least and probably upgrading to some extent. Towels certainly need renewed.

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Event facilities at this resort consist of a conference center and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good, very close to the beach. Staff very polite.
Cons: Whole resort looking shabby, breakfast was average. Rooms tired and “king” beds very short meaning my feet were over the end so sleeping was uncomfortable. Bathrooms need work, holes in walls where taps have been moved. Lighting in the room insufficient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, service, value.
Cons: WiFi is tragically slow.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is beautiful and it's secluded enough that there aren't a lot of people wandering up and down the beach, so it's never too crowded. There are plenty of trees (palm & otherwise) around to make you feel like you're in a little slice of heaven. Our room's balcony overlooked the pool and the Caribbean sea, so it was a beautiful sight to wake up to and watch sunset over. The fact that the hotel included water sports in the price made our splurge for the room totally worth it. The staff at Tamarind was super helpful and very nice, always helping us whenever we had questions. Tamarind also offers free parking if you decide to rent a car and explore the island, which came in handy for us. They also helped us organize tours around the island. Lastly, the hotel has a great breakfast included with the stay - there is a regular continental breakfast, as well as an omelet bar and multiple hot food options.
Cons: The biggest downside was the fact that our room was rather noisy. Because of the location of our room in the resort, we could always hear the restocking truck come in at 4am and huff & puff until everything was unloaded, half an hour later. Other than that, minor things: The restaurant is a bit pricey but not much over the other nice restaurant options on the island. However, they do feature good musical performances throughout the week which make it worth it. Guests also have to wake up early to reserve a beach chair each morning. It seemed like if you weren't headed down to hold your chair with a book or a towel by 7am, you had no chance of getting a chair. Lastly, the wifi in the room was not so great, although it did work well in the common areas and by the beach/pool.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location and water sports
Cons: WiFi super slow or not working Staff always with a”cannot-do” attitude unless chased - made everything tiring and every request a fight Value for money - Way overpriced, rooms for example (and the bed for the third person) and the breakfast were definitely not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean environment
Cons: sea by beach has hidden stones and rocks Dinner menu limited and expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: good selection, a little too much waiting time for the omelettes
Cons: No dustbin in the room?
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The up and down steps to our room (105).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly Staff, this was our 2nd time at the Tamarind and almost everyone remembered my husband and I. The beach was even better this time in March, calm with crystal clear water. We came in October 2018 but the beach was rough due to hurricane season. The food was fabulous, breakfast always had a really big selection and dinner was amazing. The beach was just a few steps outside our room and the pool as well. The room was spacious with a wonderful rain shower, loads of clean towels available as well as lovely toiletries.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Beach and sea was very nice with fish in different colors and if you are lucky you can swim with turtles too. Hotel is very close to holetown where you can find sth to eat nice food and bars. Sea activities were good. You can do water sports such as snorkelling and canoeing free.
Cons: Room cleaning was not good. We found room and cups dirty several times. Breakfast was tasteless. Also we didn’t like meals in the hotel. Hotel area is good but not the best area in Barbados, if you go outside to buy something in the evening some strange people were coming besides asking for money etc. like beggars. Everything was broken or not working in facilities room. And be careful at breakfast because when you leave your plate on the table some birds come and eat yout meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, good value. The rooms were nice and spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful helping us organize activities and arrange dinner reservations. Beach is beautiful and not too crowded.
Cons: Two small things that could be improved, and outlet in the bathroom- or at least near a mirror. And the staff on the beach could be more helpful in setting up chairs, as well there was supposed to be waitress access on the beach which we didn't see unless we went to the bar or restaurant.

Pros: We loved all the amenities that came with the all inclusive. We took advantage of all the water sports and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Cons: What’s not to like? It was amazing! I will say 84° helps also
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is located in an excellent location. The breakfast was very good and so was lunch.
Cons: The rooms were very dated and traffic, staff were very noisey in the mornings waking us up at 5am coming into work. We did complain about the staff which did help a bit but after a couple of days they went back to there normal selves. The pictures on the web site are very misleading and the property is not on the beach as is looks. The food is ok but not that great. Breakfast as the best meal of the day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was done in a timely manner. The staff was amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and the Staff (Jeanette Mayers) went above and beyond. The General Manager was very accommodating as well. Excellent experience ❤❤
Cons: The meals could have had more diversity.
7.5 Good
Pros: A lovely hotel in a great location. Food was excellent. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Cons: No free wifi in the rooms. Service was often patchy.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and nearby beaches
Cons: Beds were quite hard for our liking. Evening dinner reservation system was a pain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food... just amazing choices and quality!.. Enids is such a beautiful restaurant with excellent food!
Cons: Only stayed 3 nights.... given the location, food and things to do... at least week stay would be best!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great in Bennet’s on the west coast
Cons: Unfortunately the hotel has no policy regarding sunbeds. Some guests were getring up at 430am in the morning to reserve a spot. We complained to the hotel and they didn’t seem to care.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the food is very good and the majority of staff,
Cons: my room, no mirror to put make up on with or suitable plugs near a mirror to do hair, room was tatty, and wifi was charged for even though I'm a genius member, the lady manger there is not easy, even though i had print out, to say i would get free wifi, she chagerd me for 1 week in 3,
4.5 Okay
Pros: The food was good. The location was good. The hotel upgraded our room to a sea view which was very nice of them, a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The staff has a generally BAD attitude. Don't expect a smile or any courtesy from the staff. Oh a few of the older staff members were pleasant but the young team members had a real bad attitude. The place does not have a beach on site, a big disappointment. This wasn't entirely clear in the description. They need to improve the follow up cleaning around the poolside and heavier guest centric gathering spots. We usually cleared tables, emptied the ashtray, removed towels, etc in these places because service was slow/non-existent. Keep your expectations low , get a rock bottom bargain price and you my feel you got your money's worth.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The employees are sincerely pleasant and the sunsets are amazing.
Cons: The free WiFi is limited to a few areas only and had poor signal strength. The paid WiFi (US$50/7 days) worked all over the property and even reached the beach but sometimes with a poor signal especially in our oceanfront room. Too many smokers near the building.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and excellent with us and the kids
5.0 Okay
Pros: The concierge team and the housekeeping team
Cons: Me and my family , 3 adults, 2 teens and 2 infants traveled to Barbados expecting an amazing time in a stress free island .... Jesus... how wrong I was ....This is not a 5star Hotel for sure. Very disappointed with service and response from Managers . According to the hotel website, the reservations team contact the guest a week prior arrival to organize meet and greet and a fill a groceries request etc . I never got the email from reservations and I had to start the communication. I paid another company to provide the VIP meet and greet at airport, something that hotel was supposed to provide and inform us. Transportation was arranged by us... First day at the beach, we tried to put our towels and the beach boy informed us that we couldn't seat were we wanted as the sun beds were booked by one family that own one of the apartments, I was surprised as at any time I was informed about that policy. According to The Beach Boys , homeowners have special privileges even if is a public beach( this I will make sure to inform the government of Barbados and make a formal complain). We spent 11 nights and 4 times they requested us to move or remove our towels to allow one family ( the owners of one apartment) to stay in middle of the beach, a strange request that was accommodated by general Manager rick- according to beach boy that works at the weekends). I made many complains and the ladies from concierge were very helpful and always tried to help, but even the reservation manager told me that there was no policy of preference, however they kept doing the same . The breakfast was good and they had plenty of options. The size of the apartment was good and with an amazing view . The beach with no rocks is very small , however the owners of the apartment used to take over of the beach with support of The Beach Boys and management. Last day I complained again and the lady from concierge told me to email a complaint....

Pros: Pure bliss - very friendly, casual atmosphere. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Accommodation first rate.
Cons: More choice of dining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff throughout were amazing - friendly and attentive from start to finish. Room/apartment was wonderful. Tastefully decorated and perfectly clean, and has everything you need. Gardens beautiful and perfectly maintained. We have stayed in a range of villas and hotels in Barbados and this is definitely our favourite so far.
Cons: Couldn't fault anything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the accommodation was fantastic
Cons: couldn't get Jacuzzi to work, despite ringing and asking for help, it was never resolved
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our villa is beautiful! As I type this, I’m sitting on our patio, on which there is a huge jacuzzi, and looking out onto the Caribbean. The snorkeling just out back is terrific, as good as any place I’ve usually had to pay to have someone take me to. We are on the 3rd floor, and there’s an elevator right out our back door that puts you steps from the pool and beach. There was a big party crowd here for a wedding, and in our room we heard....nothing. Very quiet, and very comfortable. The staff has been great in every way, and the concierge can make anything happen for you. Very good food. Water taxi is cool, and worth a hop over to Port Ferdinand for their infinite pool and amazing spa. Swimming with the sea turtles was just awesome. Location is excellent - close to two cool towns, easy access to grocery stores, and incredible restaurants.
Cons: The kitchen lacked some basics like coffee filters, oil, salt, etc. Staples I’d prefer not to have to go to the grocery store to buy. Just a suggestion, but the kids club is fairly basic and doesn’t allow you to leave the property.

Pros: Pleasant surroundings and short walk to beaches and centre of Holetown. Comfortable apartments which are in the process of being upgraded. Friendly staff. Restaurant and bar on site.
Cons: The restaurant needs to advertise what it actually provides and also to advertise its opening hours. It’s a great venue but needs to promote itself. Furniture in rooms a little tired but upgrades in progress.
7.5 Good
Pros: great sunbeds around the pool.
Cons: wifi could have been included. washing up liquid and sponge etc not supplied
7.0 Good
Cons: We were allocated a room immediately above one which was being refurbished. For one and a half days the noise of a floor tile cutter was totally un acceptable. when this was reported to the staff nothing was done in the first instance. A second reporting was greeted with " you never made a FORMAL COMPLAINT"!!! The mind boggles! However the persistence of my wife resulted in us receiving compensation in the form of the cost of one free nights stay being reimbursed. We have full recordings of the extent of the noise level.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed safe atmosphere. The pool, the bar, the position in Holetown and value for money.
Cons: Lack of kitchen utensils and crockery in the apartment. The ovens never work.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, budget hotel in a great area. Staff were friendly. The amount of people there was nice, not too many to feel busy, but enough to not feel like it was too quiet
Cons: The Bar wasn't greatly stocked. Not much choice. The kitchens in the rooms were a bit understocked on kitchenware. Shower wasn't great.

Pros: bed was very comfortable..staff were friendly..pool was great..
Cons: there was no restaurant
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The bar and dining area was cozy and very nice. The staff was very nice.
Cons: Adding some amenities in the room such as towels, trash can, light blanket, towel rack in bathroom and just a little love would go a long way.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good customer service, clean, security guard on premises all night.
Cons: Kitchen facilities need up grading, cooker very old, fridge unstable, lack of utensils e.g bottle opener, needs some mugs just anall rea cups available

Cons: Ridiculous to charge 8 USD per day for slow wifi in 2019.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s discreet location, a hidden treasure. The apartments are of good size and in fairly good condition. The staff were very polite and helpful
Cons: Kitchen wasnt the best equipped for cooking a meal......one large saucepan and no sharpe knife. Did not really affect our stay as local bars n restaurants serve good food providing us with one decent meal a day

Pros: Great location and beach
Cons: Rooms have been in need of renovation for many years but is reflected in price. Receptionist was very unhelpful when we checked out. We asked for our bags to be stored. We were to leave them in open reception area! I suggested that they put them in an empty room and was told that if it was needed the bags would be returned to open reception area. They could not care less!! I never write bad reviews but this was exceptionally bad !

Pros: Good Beach and entertainment
Cons: Initial room was very poor but were upgraded to an excellent room. Food average.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent the beach on this side of the island is excellent calm clear very few rocks I like the majority of the staff were very friendly and accommodating Eddie Gregory especially
Cons: I did not like the extra charge for better food. I did not like having keep asking for extra towels I did not like that the beach directly in front of the property was not cleaned / racked daily.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location is superb, beach is great and the artificial reef immediately in front of the hotel is full of fish. You can then swim beyond this and see the turtles without the need to pay for a boat trip. The food is good and it’s a great budget base for your Barbados stay.
Cons: The hotel is dated and some of the staff could be more helpful... but ultimately this is reflected in its 3 star rating and prices! There are already too many “5 star” resorts in this area charging ridiculous money to stay... I suspect Discovery Bay will soon be updated (which it needs) but I hope they continue to offer a 3/4 star option to travellers
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location but all hotels facilities are dated. Needs a makeover but the room was large, clean, and adequately air conditioned. Our room (Rm108) was 50 ft from the beautiful beach. Good value
Cons: Breakfast was fair, only minor changes daily. Hotels needs work
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The meals and staff were great. Building needs work.
Cons: Watersports very limited.

Pros: Most of the staff was accommodating and helpful. The biggest plus or rather the only advantage of this hotel is its location with respect to the ocean.
Cons: The hotel is quite dated and is in dire need of a facelift. The animals running about on the property is a bit unsettling and unsanitary. There was no real options as it pertains to food;menu was repetitive.

Pros: I liked how friendly staff was! I arrived 3 hours later than I was supposed to, 2 in the morning and I was still greeted with a warm welcome! Housekeeping was efficient each day. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the beds were warm and soft. The living room had a comfy couch and and kitchenette. It felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend!
Cons: I wish that we would have been able to use more than two devices on the internet connection. I could only connect my phone and my boyfriend's phone... wasn't able to add my laptop.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Very tired accommodation. Desperately needs a refurb. The cleaning is poor and the apartment equipment was minimal to say the least.
Cons: All aspects of the property requires an uplift.
6.8 Good
Pros: Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Aircon in bedroom wad great. Bathroom was ok.
Cons: Apartment was very basic and very "tired". But as this was just an overnight stopover it was adequate for us. Looked nothing like the rooms on the website.
5.8 Okay
Pros: If you’re on a budget and don’t mind taking a drive or walk (there is a beach you can walk to )to the beaches this place isn’t bad and it’s in a nice quiet residential area .
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable, The thinnest of sheets was provided for covering yourself ,which basically meant you either slept with the A/C unit off or froze . The A/C unit I might add had no remote to adjust the temperature and the pillows were too flat which resulted in some neck pain but that lasted a few days . Also when I viewed pictures of the property online there are a couple or maybe one pool picture/s which makes it seems as if the beach is within view from the pool area , this ISNT so .
7.5 Good
Pros: The apartment was very cool and quite, The windows in the bedroom had burglar bars and that gave me a safe feeling also the Air condition was only in the bedroom but surprisingly kept the entire home cooled. I like the fact that the bathroom was only a feet away from the bedroom. The pool was big and I had a great time
Cons: It wasn’t much space to begin with the kitchen was very small 2 wooden chairs which had stains in it with a table one side and on the other side was a sofa bed a small tv in the corner which only showed 4,5 cable channels and all weren’t showing with good quality An electric stove when in use giving off a terrible scent it wasn’t acceptable we had no choice but to use it. The fridge was filled with frosting which looked very disturbing and at the top was very dirty the cupboards and drawers had a few utensils, they didn’t had anything to clean them with either whatever you needed you had to call the reception for and it was clear to me that they didn’t had much off. Sinks were okay both hot and cold water the sheets curtains and most of the furniture were dirty. There wasn’t anything to clean with period as I said whatever you needed you you had to call for. Being with my location at the entrance furthest from most apartments the WiFi which had to be paid separately from my costs was extremely poor and became very frustrating.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything
Cons: The wifi kept dropping out.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The sheets are clean. Location is good. Staff is nice.
Cons: Phone doesn't work, not for local calls, the front desk or even to call emergency numbers. Check in took a hour and they don't take credit cards. Oh also no hot water, at all.
6.8 Good
Pros: We were not aware that the reception was at a different location and we were out in the rain looking for someone to ask. I called the general manager number and the hotel number provided on the site and the calls weren't going through. I was pretty pissed and tired. We were about to walk over to the ALL Seasons when we saw the night guard. The next day the oven wasn't heating up and the room had no phone to call out we had to go out by the pool and ask someone for help. I would never come back to this place for a romantic stay ever again. Take a page from the ALL Seasons and do better! On top of that the wifi wasn't free like the website stated!
