After receiving a confirmation number from Kayak and travelling to Edmonton to meet my wife at the hotel (both travelling from different locations) I was informed at check in, the hotel had been fully booked for hours. No room was available. Staff offered no advice or apology. The entire city was sold out with Garth Brooks concert in town. Not a good experience for hotel or Kayak

Pros (+) The 14 minute drive to the mall went fast in the mornings and the free breakfast was a great starter to the day. The pool open late at night was an excellent way to end the night. Great value for the money.
Cons (-) We stayed between Christmas and new year and seemed to be a lot of partying and fighting in the hallways.

Pros (+) Price was fair for the offering, economical.
Cons (-) Room checked in was not the room booked (double vs booked queen). Said that rooms can change, based on demand, etc, but that's the point of booking a room in advance - so this was a bunk excuse. Hair dryer was broken, no ironing board but had an iron. Room was dated, but that is to be expected for the price. No easy accessible plugins. Breakfast area was 'awkwardly silent' and bakery items were a ...
