Location is excellent, staff professional, room modern and quite spatious, balcony overlooking the street very nice.
No complaints at all.
Some of the nicest, friendliest staff anywhere. Location is the best: city center, shopping, historic sites, metro, train, busses, direct connection to airport, etc. Just around the corner is Baldo, highly recommended for tapas, drinks, and meals. Pedestrian streets cut noise tremendously. (But read further about surviving other noise . . . )
Not a criticism of Sorolla Centro specifically, but Spanish construction methods and materials simply do not allow for good sound insulation either internally or externally. Even four- and five-star hotels in Spain have this problem. always bring earplugs and choose a hotel like Sorolla Centro away from a busy street. (If you ever think you were in a sound-proofed hotel in Spain, it was because you had well-behaved or nonexistent neighbors and the city was unusually dead during your stay.) Other than this very general comment, I have no criticism of Sorolla Centro and recommend it highly!
The location of the hotel is excellent right in the downtown (the old part of the city). Easy access to the railway and subway stations.
It could be a little bit noisy due to the restaurants in the area.
It was so close to the main train station we actually walked past it at first. Very clean, modern fixtures and fittings, free wi-fi
Disgusted to find that after leaving they added a charge from the minibar that was not used during our stay. Also it was the start of November which must be classed as Winter in Spain but at 23degrees this was hot for us travelling from England and the air-con had been switched off to be used as a heater only, so we had to leave the window open all the time as that is too warm to sleep
The location was very good in the centre and walking distance from important land marks.
