10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, unique , in a perfect location. Lovely and helpful staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are ridiculously well appointed! Really comfortable. Would come again!
Cons: Service is a bit more sporadic. To be fair it’s more of b&b rather than a hotel. But a really beautiful one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place - beautifully decorated with fantastic collection of art, paintings, furniture and sculptures! Delicious breakfast and very attentive service. Heaven!
Cons: N/a
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted warmly despite being a little late. They were very attentive without being too over the top, wether it was checking you in, breakfast or just generally greeting you as you went to your room. Everyone was extremely pleasant, highly efficient, and very professional. The breakfast was a very good quality continental breakfast. Cereal is available, and you get, a baguette, a croissant, butter, jams, and cheeses, also a lovely fruit basket, and yogurt. Fresh Orange juice, teas and coffees. However, the most amazing thing about this hotel is the decor, it is absolutely fabulous!! No matter where you are, entrance, stairs, rooms, or breakfast room. Whoever put the rooms together certainly has a fantastic designer eye! Our suite was just amazing, extra large bed which was extremely comfortable, lovely sitting area, and a superb bathroom. All exquisitely decorated to high standards. All spotless. Plenty of good quality hangers to hang your garments in the dressing area. I can’t think of one thing that this room did not have, Safe, torch, umbrella, fridge, slippers, hairdryer, tooth mugs, soap dishes, bath mat for inside shower and outside, tissues, ....... the list goes on, everything is thought of that you would normally find in a high end hotel. Attention to detail is fantastic. It is in a great location in Vence, and very peaceful for sleeping, although there is no parking on site, (common in the area) I believe there is parking nearby. It is close to a lot of good restaurants and easy to visit the main sights. I can not recommend this place highly enough, if I could give it more smiley faces which resulted in a higher mark than 10 I would.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this small boutique hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms and fantastic hosts.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all, the owners (Guy, Thierry, and Antoine) were superb, very attentive, pro-active in communicating before and during our stay, and always happy to meet with us. Our room, the Andy Warhol room, was superb; a beautifully appointed suite to relax. Breakfast was wonderful, freshly made. The location was great - easily walkable around the old town. It was easy to get around to St Paul de Vence by bus, and Thierry gave excellent recommendations of places to include on our itinerary.
Cons: That we had to leave :( Thank you, for a lovely stay, Thierry, Guy, and Antoine! Merci beaucoup!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Overall, a fabulous place to stay in the centre of Vence
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything from the artworks carefully curated and displayed around the property to the room size and the fabulous breakfasts. Superb hosts that were friendly and there when you needed them. We found the bed was super comfy, the shower was great and the place was spotlessly clean. Most certainly be back in Vence in the future and will be staying here. If only more places were created like this travelling would be blissful.
Cons: Can't think of a single thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location location location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little family run hotel in a perfect location. Very friendly people, helpful and personal service and good English spoken (which was helpful for me). The stylish decor surpassed my expectations: there’s a sense of fun to the artistic pieces and I thought the whole concept worked really well without being cheesy. We exclaimed “wow!” when we first entered our room: just lovely; very comfortable and spacious too. The perfect place for a relaxed few days in Vence. We very much hope to return.
Cons: If driving note that there’s no parking or stopping at the hotel so you’ll need to head to one of the very nearby car parks first and walk from there. It’s not a problem but suggest you work it out beforehand as the roads don’t have many places to pull over and check the map.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, personalized recommendations for daily excursions and for our cultural interests
Cons: There are no regular Yoga/Pilates classes The lighting in the bathroom could be better (as in all hotels: it is difficult to shave or apply cosmetics in ’warm‘ light
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property has an incredible view both across the land down to the sea and of the mountains behind it. Its an enchanting and relaxing place to spend time.
Cons: The restaurant was very slow. The staff tries to do things for you, but just ends up slowing you down when you could have done it quickly and easily yourself. Modern luxury is not about waiting for people to do things for you, its about empowering you to do it in the easiest way possible.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just loved our stay at the hotel ! Will definitely come back :)
Cons: Nothing to say, we loved everything!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Garden is lovely and really gives a serene feel, at night they light it up in warm light colours which gives it even a greater feel. Rooms are really spacious and bed size is great too. Loved the privacy of our little garden, could enjoy reading there over a cup of tea (which by the way is on the house and tastes delicious). The indoor swimming pool was great fun for our little one while we had a good sunbath in the garden just in front.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kindly staff
Cons: The nature
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Oasis of calm.
Cons: Nothing really. If I had to be pushed then some of the function (of which there were two in our three day stay) can slightly take over the hotel. In fairness were invited to join one of them which was as good a solution as there could have been!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, The authenticity of the hotel, The serenity of the environment, The food... Everything :)
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. It is in a quiet location.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff and room cleanliness
Cons: Over crowded pool area. Staff should clear personal things from loungers after 1 hour of not being used. We saw loungers ‘reserved’ and not used all afternoon. Not fair on other guests.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was excellent experience. Only let down by one rather unfriendly maitre d' and inattentive service as we received our main course which caused the whole table to wait while one of our party awaited service. However, on realising this, the head chef came to apologise and comped the whole meal, so hard to complain as overall this was the best dining experience of our holiday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely swimming pool, 10 minute walk to town square & restaurants. Very quiet location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting on the foot of the mountains. The pool area and gardens are really nicely done. Nice room. Friendly staff. We had a perfect stay and will hopefully be back soon!
Cons: The gym could have some more equipment, such as weights (it only has a treadmill, stationary bike and elliptical trainer)

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, shuttle service, very friendly and accommodating staff, assistance with dinner reservations, drinks and snacks at the pool, pool towels, abundance of sun beds, newspapers and magazines
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was extremely comfortable and agreeable. The style of the property was pleasing, the room we had was comfortable and clean and well appointed. The staff were terrific, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. All the staff we dealt with could speak English, even if we tried our French on them, but they did not make our efforts feel inadequate! The outside areas, including the outdoor lounges, the pool surrounds and grassy areas were extensive and were never busy - there was always space to relax. The pool is a good size, that allowed for serious swimming, if that is your thing. All in all, a terrific place to stay. Far enough out of town to provide a feeling of space, but close enough to St Paul-de-Vence and other towns to be convenient.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean good breakfast although expensive
Cons: A bit expensive I think it should of included breakfast for the price of the room rate!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very good. Shuttle service to the old town on a retro Citroen liked a lot.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 18th century style Renovated and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, lovely location and a thoroughly enjoyable stay, Would return and recommend to friends.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, small boutique and fantastic staff throughout our stay... pool, room, jacuzzi!
Cons: Road outside could be busy and noisy at times. Breakfast was ok, if you paid for the ‘full-breakfast’ you will survive till dinner. The ‘light-breakfast’ was not really worth the €12.00 per person, for a few pastries, juice, coffee. Otherwise to eat this in the dining area was delightful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manager and staff were knowledgeable and knew the town and surrounding area well making excellent travel suggestions .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything just perfect! very nice hotel!

Pros: Hotel very clean and comfortable. Bed was great. Location convenient close to main train station and on tram line. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Michaels, David, and breakfast chef (who helped with our bags on morning of Sept. 9.
Cons: Elevator doesn’t work at night and needs to wait until after 8AM for someone to arrive to turn it on! We were told this was true throughout France.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, VERY close to train station, and an easy straight walk to the promenade and beach. Beds were very comfy, staff were very lovely and the FREE access to drinks (water bottles, soft drinks and coffee machine) was awesome!
Cons: -
9.2 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
6.5 Good
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Key disadvantage: no refrigerator. Small spaces, non-functional bathroom, Bad air condition, old and cramped elevator.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very close to the sea (approx. 15 minutes walk or two stations only), as a highlight we got a nice balcony next to the street and could enjoy some fresh air every night - great! Altogether clean rooms and quiet stay.
Cons: Due to the extremely positive feedbacks we expected something special, in our case the balcony was definitely a great surprise. Without that you get a normal 4* room without special comfort, cupboard or minibar (in our case). One negative aspect is certainly the breakfast room which is VERY small and narrow, luckily we had not booked any breakfast before.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large comfortable superior room with lot of natural light. Christo at the reception was very helpful .
Cons: There were no tea making facility in the room. Would be nice to have an electric kettle.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good aircondition Very friendly staff Central location I got a balcony
Cons: It was not sound proof The bathroom was impractical, one had to go in behind the toilet to close the door so that you could access the shower behind the door.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great reception concierge staff, especially Mihaela.
Cons: Notorious area for pick-pocketers - which we experienced.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Front desk and chef for breakfast exceptionally friendly
Cons: Elevator out of sorts
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. Close to the tram so you could easily get where you want to go.
Cons: No coffee in the room.

Pros: Closeness to Rail and Centre of City
Cons:
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I have visited 27 countries, I saw a lot of different hotels. But this hotel is the worst hotel that I have ever seen! I was afraid to take a shower, because it was ssooo dirty! it is not 30star hotel. I will not even give 1 star to it! The lamp in the toilet was blinking like at the discoteque and the staff did nothing to help us. Staff was not aatentive, not smily, they just didn't care about anything. The door of the toilet didn't close. Wallpapers were 3 cm from the walls. It is a peppergrass for 100 euro per night!!!
2.8 Mediocre
Pros: only location
Cons: my air conditioner is not work, but i got only 10 euro back . It too expensive for the room without air conditioner
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Please write at least 15 words
Cons: Dirty tired.uncomfortable beds. Miles from the beach.Inedible breakfast disgusting outlook.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: It was located in an area that I would not consider safe; it would be better further south but were not made aware. Because of safety, a car park would have helped for coming back late.

Pros: The amazing view from the balcony while having a delicious breakfast. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Bathroom is like brand new with a fantastic shower. Sandrine was a lovely host. She made us the best breakfast and also was most helpful in explaining how to find the property.
Cons: Maybe the bed could have been a bit softer.

Pros: Really central and amazing views over the valley
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Sandrine the host was really great— very helpful and friendly the whole stay. The view from the rooms is absolutely amazing. Walking distance to everything in town. pool is beautiful.
Cons: Be aware the pool is at a separate location from the hotel, a short drive away. This was a surprise to us, but we still used the pool for several hours and we are very glad we stayed here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was pleasant
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view has to be seen, the pictures just don’t give you the same feeling. The town itself is immaculate and very quaint. Sandrine is an amazing host.
Cons: Use of the kitchen would be helpful

Cons: Nothing I can think of...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love this property, staffs very friendly, food is good, location is great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about Le Hameau is intended to enchant. the exquisite natural landscape enhanced by all of the flowers, the decor, the personalized attention to cuisine, the teeny rooms filled with antiques...
Cons: If I had one minor complaint it would be that water should certainly have been available in the rooms or by the pool or in the library in the muggy heat of August. As it was, I had to inquire several times and never received any..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely warm and friendly atmosphere inspired by excellent staff. Beautiful hotel, pool and gardens with view over hills and valley. And only 10 minutes walk to St Paul de Vence.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Charming and pretty, nice pool, hot tub and view.
Cons: Only 1 of the 2 bedrooms had air conditioning. There were very strange and strict rules about not bringing any outside food to the room or the pool - you had to buy from the hotel, which was expensive and very inconvenient and choices were minimal. Would not stay again for this reason.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent environment, extremely clean room and bed, very friendly people, and walking distance to St Paul de Vence
Cons: Non

10.0 Excellent
Pros: location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, cleanliness, and attentive staff are unparalleled.
Cons: N/A
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, the food, the personel, the elevator
Cons: The whole hotel has more feeling of the old luxury hotel from last century. Hotel needs a complete fresh up. On the other hand it would be a waste of a piece history and old fashioned taste.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Decor of room and hotel was magnificent as always The staff were friendly and efficient which made our stay very pleasurable and the revamped La Ronde looked great and the food was terrific
Cons: The bathroom flooded when having a shower over bath tub which was simply unworkable and irritated me immensely at the time making me reluctant to stay again although our previous stays have been great with Thierry indulging my wife with photos each year
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fresh buffet breakfast is served each morning at the ' La Rotonde restaurant' but its a shame they have refurbished it recently, i was so badly wanting to see the Carousel in its glory which would have added to the quirkiness of the hotel. We sat on most days on the terrace, outside the restaurant to be able to enjoy the views, our table overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The food and the views were worth it !! The few best things about this hotel are its excellent location , its also beautifully decorated inside with art and antiques everywhere and has a beautiful period fully functioning lift from a by gone era of quality. They also have a relationship with the beach across the street so you are able to just walk a few steps and be on your sunbed in no time. From Grace Kelly and Micheal Jackson, from the Beatles to Liz Taylor, the list of internationally known stars that have graced the Negresco is impressive. This has been listed by the government of France as a National Historic Building and you can see it on most postcards of Nice .Your always in awe, thinking whether this is a Hotel or a Museum.
Cons: Our Rivoli rooms were the nicely refurbished one albeit the air con was difficult to operate and the room was very warm. Also the staff at the check in was a tad bit grumpy maybe she had a bad day other that that , but other than that , it was great!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Excellent location , good food.
Cons: Stuff were very dismissive and unhelpful at all. Very disappointing. Rooms weren’t clean enough.
6.0 Good
Pros: Historic building, beautiful lobby
Cons: Rooms definitely need refurbishment
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We received a room with a sea view which made it hard for us to leave it every day. Hotel is doing a great job in maintaining the authenticity of the rooms. Valet service was always prompt irrespective of the time of day/night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, stuff friendly , hotel beautiful itself
Cons: Bed and pillows could be more comfortable
6.0 Good
Pros: The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub. This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also, our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim. All in all,This hotel needs revamping. On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice.
Cons: The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet, which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also, after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.

Pros: The owners were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of things to choose from, and it was nice to sit outside in the garden to eat. Secure onsite parking was nice and appreciated, and for 5 Euros, was a good deal! Exceeded my expectations for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, greeting us with smiles always! The double room was very spacious, immaculately clean with excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was again extremely clean with fresh towels and linen provided daily. We were able to make use of the Chantilly's parasols and beach mats for free which made our time on the beach much more comfortable. On our last day we took the breakfast and it was fantastic! Home made cakes, fresh bread, croissants, fresh fruit, cheese, meats....the list goes on! We would not hesitate to return to the Chantilly on our next visit to Cagnes Sur Mer.

Pros: Relatively close to the seashore and to the Nice Airport, an alternative place to Nice where it’s too expensive in high season. The owner staffs are very nice. She recommended us aux Planches restaurant. We had two great dinners there.
Cons: The bathroom dose not have a ventilation system!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast comfort bed!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Frederique and Gerard were great hosts. They were so welcoming. Try to remember when an owner helped you with your bags to your room or showed you around the breakfast buffet. The location id superb. Close to train station and beach. Dozens of good restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard for me bit my wife was just fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach, city centre and train station. Lovely terrace to have breakfast. Wonderful hosts, thoughtful and considerate. Comfortable, clean and good size room.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a charming hotel beside the Hippodrome, where there are sulky races on hot summer nights. It's a short walk to a nice, although rather pebbly beach, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The hosts are welcoming and polite, and the breakfast - outside in a secluded front garden area - is simple but pleasant.
Cons: The breakfast buffet area is rather small and if there are other guests staying, it gets a bit crowded. At one point in our stay there was a strong odour from the toilets.

Pros: The staff was polite, funny and spoke perfect English. The manager worked like crazy to help out at the breakfast. We were impressed.
Cons: The rooms! They're fine but there was absolutely no where to put anything. Our room had one lawn chair. It was weird. It all feels a little too Miami Vice with the colors. Felt slightly Miami-ish/Golden Girls. Bottom floor was noisy with window open.

Pros: Fantastic location in room 14 overlooking the ocean and sunset. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly
Cons: Great balcony but the steel chairs and table were small and uncomfortable to relax in. AC didn’t work very well in room 14. However would recommend hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel was excellent. It’s location made access to the beach and Nice old town easy. Towels for the beach were provided and recommendations given for restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, thank you all. The breakfast was plentiful and they catered well for my gluten intolerance. We’ll visit again.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, enough of options, all tasty, very good coffee. Location was fantastic - closest to the Mountain, to the port, to the beach and to Old Nice, what makes you happy. Bedding is very good as well.
Cons: The room 20 was really small, no space for the suitcase and also no drawers to place small things, if you plan to have some shopping, you risk to keep all buys on the bed. The worst thing - the noise!!! You can not sleep with the air conditioner on for overnight, but even earplugs don't help when they collect glass waist at 5 am!!! And the road is very close - all windows go there.

Pros: Staff very helpful

Pros: Amazing design , beautiful ambiance, cozy and chic
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly and efficient staff
Cons: Our only matter that soured our stay was the reception arranged a mini cab to the port (1.2 miles). At the end of the journey were asked for 30 euro. Every other time during our stay we used Uber and it was always 7-8 euro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is awesome and very friendly. The view and garden are amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent. Very professional, helpful and friendly. We really liked the style of the hotel. Nicely laid out and quiet spaces to sit and relax. Also, brilliant housekeeping standards.
Cons: The room was excellent. Bathroom was a bit small, but laid out very nicely. The staff were very responsive and helpful about a small issue we experienced with the shower. Hard to find anything wrong...as the hotel and staff were outstanding.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thanks to all the staff who were excellent. Pleasant and obliging and informative. The charming Philipe greeted us and filled us in with everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. The room was large and airy and the double bed and single beds comfortable. We had a lower floor room and had a patio to ourselves which was a bonus as we were able to take breakfast there daily. The bar and poolside were comfortable with the added bonus of feathered company and entertainment from Jacko the parrot. The pool itself although small is ideal for cooling off and there is a jacuzzi facility.
Cons: Check the location suits if exercise intolerant or disabled as the hotel is on a hillside and therefore an uphill walk home to the beautiful quiet residential area of Cimiez. (Ps......The Chagall and Matisse Galleries are within 10-15 minute walk away which is great for art enthusiasts) The local taxi service served our needs to get about ( It was 29 degrees so their air/con was a must) but be careful later in the evening and further afield as pre booking would be wise. We were left 40 minutes waiting at night in St Paul de Vence. Luckily the hotel reception were very obliging and able to sort a taxi for us. At end July and through August and September take mosquito spray as we have the bumps to suggested they are active.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: How elegant and quaint it was
Cons: It doesn’t do an evening meal
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Solid breakfast, location on the hill above town had great views. A 20 minute walk to the beach was fine with the kids. The staff were excellent in every respect. Not just dog friendly, dog enthusiastic! A super experience.
Cons: Really nothing to complain about. It was not cheap but that is to be expected in the area. The car park was an additional cost but again, to be expected. Hard to fault
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice view from small balcony. Bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. Food on room service was tasty. Plenty of body wash supplied.
Cons: Found long dark hairs on bathroom floor !!! Room was small for the price. Towels and flannels looked a bit tired. Bottle of small water €5 was too expensive in mini bar.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This boutique hotel has been carefully curated in all of the common areas and the attention to detail and the art deco Asian styling is glorious. It is very well maintained even though it is not new. The pool and garden areas are a welcome oasis and always seem to catch a breeze which make them a little more bearable than in town itself. Many of the rooms have balconies which I would suggest you try and get if possible. Staff were very helpful and quite charming. The level of service was five star and I have to say the food was excellent.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like about this little hotel, bearing in mind it is older the slight wear and tear on the stairs to the lobby and an ageing bath tub were not something to stress me out. The walk to and from town is not for the faint hearted and although I did it every day and kept up my step count if you are not a regular walker you may find the hills a challenge. It was regularly over 30 degrees when I was there so there are days you may just want to call a taxi!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is good - quiet but walking distance to the town. Facilities are good - good size rooms, including a terrace in our case, and excellent staff. Free parking around the property.
Cons: No dinner facilities in the hotel or close by but the bar food (cold plates) was good and the city is not so far away. Bit of a slog to walk back up the hill so we just used Uber on the way back !

4.6 Okay
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: Over-priced. Really basic uncomfortable room for 350 euros a night! Unwelcoming staff. Uncomfortable beds. Unresponsive management—we told them we were unhappy with room, but they didn’t care.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely lovely hotel, very attractive and pleasant ambiance, wonderful convenient location near the old town, charming professional efficient pleasant staff, we had a superior double room which was spacious, elegant and with a small private enclosed terrace... couldn't have been nicer.... good restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Swimming pool was a bonus.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Huge room with huge balcony. Very friendly staff. Restaurant on site. Nice pool. You could order drinks at the pool, but not food. Easy walk to beach, restaurants, sight seeing.
Cons: Restaurant was expensive. Tiny rooftop gym was actually charming, but equipment was outdated, no water, no circulation. I suspect it doesn’t get used much, so I appreciated that it was even there.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great view from room overlooking the sea and seafront. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: The hotel rooms were tired looking, hotel needs to be modernized. Breakfast selection was not great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Responsiveness of staff to our needs.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed, great shower, fantastic air conditioning - rocked all the boxes for us.
Cons: Location and room fab. Great pool area too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. Our room felt warm and a fan was promptly provided. The old town was a short walking distance from the hotel and the elevator up to castle hill is next to the hotel. The pool was wonderful and nestled among the cliff side. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is great, cannot beat it really. Right next to Old Nice, in front of the beach and still walking distance to the main shopping street. I also liked the balcony of my room and the roof (not the "fitness center" though).
Cons: In general my stay was disappointing. Firstly, it is a terrible value for money place. The only great thing is the location. I paid 550 Euros for a small okay room (with a great balcony however). The breakfast was okay at best. I am a big eggs in the morning guy and they just looked watery and ill. I did not even try them. The other hot option was sausages, and what am I going to eat sausages without eggs?! I was there for a night so I also had dinner. I had work to do so ordered room service. Next morning I woke up with an upset stomach and still have one. I ordered a caesar salad and smoked salmon. Clearly something was not clean.. (I did not eat something else). I had to drive all the way to Cinque Terre the next morning and that was not pleasant at all. The fitness center is outdated with one treadmill, one bicycle and one elliptical. I felt like I was going to fall off the elliptical. In my eyes, management feels complacent due to the location, the views (yeah it looks great in photos) and history of the building. My advice is sell it to someone that can do a better job of taking care of their guests. I actually noticed in Nice that a lot of hotels are not part of a chain and have a great location but just look sad. It defaced the city. Seems like a problem to me. I am not particularly a fan of large chains, I have been to many great independent hotels and boutiques (one the previous night in Aix, called Maison d'Aix gave it 10/10). But when the original owners and management grow complacent, it is not a great look for the city. A 7.1/10 is a gift when taking into account the value of money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming historic property with lovely views and wonderful staff.
Cons: A bit tough to reach due to narrow roads but worth the effort. A bit further from Nice than anticipated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old chateau very well converted into this rabbit warren of a hotel.
Cons: I wouldn’t say we disliked anything. Only don’t try to get your car there, it’s down a tiny, tiny road. The hotel have a car that can collect you and your luggage from the nearby security car park. The security car park doesn’t take big or expensive cars by the way.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an amazing old village, with winding cobblestone streets. The hotel is a tastefully converted old castle on a cliff, which makes for a very unique experience. The restaurant had the most delightful view overlooking the sea. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were all very helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely situation in a Medieval village of note, great sea views and really super attentive staff who couldn't do enough for us. Easy to walk up into the village, or down into the newer town. Very easy from the airport. Excellent attentive staff.
Cons: The location doesn't provide a relaxed outside seating area. There isn't much they can do about it, it is in a tight village setting. You have to be able to walk including stairs but if you can't do this you shouldn't be staying in a Medieval hill top village.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although the location was a little remote and access was slightly difficult, it was a peaceful and lovely option to staying in Nice which was about 25 minutes by car. We have been there twice and would stay there again. Beautiful place.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent dining, amazing local history and clean.
Cons: No hotel parking but superb free taxi service to lower valley car parks by staff
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The staff had a great sense of service; young, dynamic, enthusiastic and serviceable
6.3 Good
Pros: The building is lovely and the terrace is nice.
Cons: Our room, which we chose based on the various deluxe room photos online, doesn’t appear online. It was a strange room with an internal staircase leading downstairs (within the room) to a cave-like room with low ceilings and tiny/short opaque windows. The room size is fine, but not at all like the other deluxe rooms shown online. My husband hit his head on the ceiling multiple times and I was challenged with my claustrophobia, with the ceiling probably 5’10”. Sink and shower didn’t drain well. We queried the reception about whether this was what we had reserved and it had a plaquard saying it was a deluxe room, so because we arrived late and tired, we didn’t argue.
5.0 Okay
Pros: This is a neat property in a very old part of town. View from balcony and room was very nice (we had a premium room).
Cons: There is not much they can do about it but parking anywhere near the building is not possible. Breakfast is expensive. Dinner menu very limited but we found a restaurant nearby that was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All the rooms are named after painters. there is a gallery above the main reception, a bar and some interesting windows out the front of the hotel which we found after breakfast. Our room (Besset) was at the back of the hotel and full of antique furniture up on the third floor/roof of the hotel. The shower room was compact but well designed with a choice of toiletries. There is a lift and excellent air conditioning. The hotel is found in narrow pedestrian streets and the hotel is decorated beautifully- magnificent ambience. The staff are relaxed and come to fetch your cases from the car (which may be parked quite far away.) You can take a relaxed breakfast on the outdoor terrace.
Cons: Be very careful to find the car park instead of trying to drive to the hotel. It is impossible (and may be nerve wracking!) unless your car is tiny! The streets get narrower and narrower. We liked everything but the breakfast was quite expensive at 25 euros. Nice though. Worth it for the terrace experience.

Pros: The staff were friendly and very helpful

Pros: Location was perfect and the view was excellent from our room - I woke early and the sunrise on the hills was beautiful. The owners were very friendly and helpful - even went out to get fresh bread for our breakfast although we were very late.

Cons: Not a real updated hotel, but fine

Pros: The staff were very helpful but with limited English

9.2 Excellent
Pros: A well located family run hotel. We arrived late and left early and reception dealt with us in a friendly and efficient manner. Our bed was very comfortable and the room well equipped. Our balcony was a good size and had a view of the surrounding hills. It was nice to have good towels changed regularly. The excellent location for access to the super bars and restaurants of Vence makes up for the lack of atmosphere in the hotel. Breakfast was simple but of good quality.
Cons: Breakfast would be improved by a little variety.
