A luxury cruse ship, with a bit of age.
Amazing location, great staff, comfortable rooms, nice bar. Food and shopping close by. Close to many colleges. Better than driving on the freeway for half an hour to go 5 miles.
I'm a lover of a more modern style. This felt like my mother would like the it. Fancy, dated, large and a bit worn.
It was a great stay, very friendly and responsive staff, nice rooms, nice bar/restaurant with a great Sunday brunch.
Fading a bit, where's the heat?
The room was typical of a hotel, as was the restaurant bar. I stayed here for business and it suited my needs, except for the lack of heat.
The hotel is looking like it needs an update. The bathroom was a bit small. Also, it was quite cold outside (in the 50s and dropping) and yet the heat was not on. The front desk explained that the heat is only turned on when it is colder than 55 degrees out, otherwise the AC is turned on. 55 for AC? Anyway, they offered to bring me a little space heater which worked OK, though I didn't feel comfortable leaving it on all night. When I woke up in the morning, with the outside temperature in the 40s, the heat was on.
Room was clean and orderly and the staff were very polite.
