9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, very clean. Comfortable chair and good desk space. Good coffee in the room. Nice complimentary breakfast each morning.
Cons: Construction. We were not warned they were painting the door to our room. My wife got a hand full of paint, luckily nothing on her clothes. Delivery truck at 6:15 in the morning just below our room, Driver was very noisy. Kids stomping on the floor above us until about 9:30 at night and beginning again about 6:00 AM
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was comfortable.
Cons: Overpriced. Lobby was torn up for remodel.
7.5 Good
Pros: stayed overnight. hotel is under remodeling, so lot of dust on entry. parking issue due to solor panel install.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: very limited daylight inside the rooms
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice beds and clean bathroom
Cons: Jacuzzi was not working. Hotel is being renovated which was not disclosed during booking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also they had a great breakfast for not having a restaurant.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is proximate to Thunderhill Raceway, about the only reason to get off the freeway in Willows, California. Breakfast comes with the stay. The rooms are nice, and the property is quiet.
Cons: The Front Desk was a complete disaster. I walked in the lobby early evening. There was nobody at the counter. I walked around looking for help. There was no staff on the property. A family was at the swimming pool. I asked them if they knew where the Front Desk staff had gone. They said they had to wait 20 minutes for somebody to show up to check them in. I waited a bit longer -- probably 25 minutes. The desk clerk waltzed in the front lobby door. I think she was visiting friends at the Subway restaurant across the driveway. This is completely unacceptable. The property has been under remodeling construction for months. Based on the construction materials in crates in the parking lot, I expect this will last for months into the future. Until the construction is finished, the better option for Willows is the Best Western nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was greeted as soon as I walked in the doors. Easy check in. The whole staff was super friendly. Breakfast was yummy! Pool was clean and furniture was nice. Our room had everything we needed. Would stay again for sure!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Lots of renovation stuff going on.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The room was fine for the price point.
Cons: I thought I booked a room for Chico, CA. I ended up 45 miles away. I realize that most of the fault is mine for being in a hurry and being on vacation so I didn't Have time to read the small print.
1.0 Poor
Pros: We have stayed at this hotel many times and always had a wonderful visit. This time the hotel was having some new floors put in and we were not able to use the elevator. We always stay on 2nd floor close to elevator.
Cons: We were placed on 1st floor right next to stairs. All night long people slammed back foot and went loudly up stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Hotel was in the middle of renovations but other than that all was good.

Pros: It was quiet & nicely decorated for an affordable hotel.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Bed was very firm and sheets were clean, but needed bedspread to keep warm, which made me on edge, as it didn't appear clean. Staff very nice. Mattress was covered with protector, as I check for bedbugs and none were present.
Cons: Dirty carpets, and window coverings. Torn walls in bathroom. Remodel is poorly done. Pillows too flat and not enough of them. Breakfast over by 9am, which isn't good if you sleep until then. Common area floors very dirty. Outdoor doors not very secure, as they didn't close all the way. It did not appear that bedspread had been washed. Blanket we extremely thin.

5.8 Okay
Pros: location was convenient price was competitive against local hotels, but still too much for this room.
Cons: The room was old and tired showing many years of patching and re-painting, the linens and towels were old and tired - the television did not work at all - safety lighting outside was invasive to the room. Soaps and shampoo were barely acceptable no lotion, soap was hard and caustic shampoo looked like it was left over from the previous guest... - location was a little noisy until around 10:00 at night (it is across the street from a bar with a boisterous outside drinking crowd) - relative to other local hotels it is a good value for someone just passing through for one night.
6.5 Good
Pros: I usually take the bedspread off the bed, since you never know how clean it is. Well to my surprise there was no blanket. Room seemed clean, but since most items were dated, you felt a certain amount of how clean are these items? Shower curtain was moldy on the bottom. Half a roll of toilet paper on the roller, but no extra roll provided. Bathroom was clean, but I think next time I will try somewhere else.

6.0 Good
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Front desk person spent 12 min on the phone while I waited to check in. There were 2 other persons behind the counter but they didn't bother to check me in. There was no elevator to the second floor. First room they gave me did not have working air cond
5.0 Okay
Pros: Front desk clerk was great; the A/C in our room wasn't working, she went above and beyond getting us moved to a room with a newer, working A/C unit. The room she moved us to was also an upgrade.
Cons: 1st rm we were in was not as clean/well maintained as the rm we were moved to. It would make sense to offer the same level of maintenance & cleanliness in rooms. Broken Thermostat in hallway meant heater was on-109* day.Complimentary breakfast lacking.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Cheap price.
Cons: Pool wasn't in good shape. Had ahose running through it and wasn't warm. Hot breakfast was really just a waffle iron. Not up to what was advertised .
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Desk Clerk double booked the room While I was in the room another person walked in with a key card. When I confronted the clerk she acted like she didn't know anything about it and didn't even say she was sorry. the bed only had a sheet on it also.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location to my destination

8.0 Excellent
Cons: When I checked in the AC, frig, and microwave did not work. Found that I had to plug them in. Bad knees and I had to get down under the counter to plug in the AC. On the next day when I came back to the room there had not been any maid service. Bed not made and bathroom and towels not cleaned up.
7.0 Good
Cons: Had to get our own towels twice and toilet paper once. No maid service one day.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for the money. The room was spacious. The bed and pillow were comfortable. Breakfast was quite adequate for a motel. We had a long, interesting conversation with the owner at breakfast.
Cons: The WiFi based internet service was slow and the router had to be re-set to get a connection. Since the motel was 5 miles outside a small town (Willows, CA, population ~ 6000), this was what I expected. If you must have a fast internet connection along I-5, expect to pay $ 60 / night more.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved hearing the frogs singing at night!
Cons: Sort of isolated.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: not used
Cons: no WiFi
3.8 Mediocre

1.0 Poor
Pros: Initially,the price ...
Cons: Pretty much everything. The internet connectivity did not work; come lights did not work; shade to window was broken; complimentary continental breakfast and coffee were non-existent (manager indicated they opened at 6:30am ... not true).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room and pleasant surroundings. Very quiet.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed in Willows many times, but this was our first time at Blue Gum. Older facility, but they are renovating the rooms. Ours was an older room, clean and functional for an over night stop. Very friendly, attentive and helpful on-site manager...and fun to talk to!! We would have enjoyed spending time around the pool area and lovely grounds.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Room had an awful, strong, smell of cat pee. The carpets were stained with spots and old much like the 1960 era style carpeting. It definitely need to be replaced. The television was an old 17" square box unit which produces a snowy picture with a reception from a mere six channels. All the outlets in the room were two (2) prong. No ground on the receptacle. NOT up to date. Room number was 6.
