As the owner does not have on site (airport) cleaning facilities, that has to be done off site. Yakima is a small airport and flights in and out are occasional, so he uses the down time between flights to go to an off site washing station. Hence, there isn't anyone always at the desk. They wouldn’t rent to me!! Belittled me because “ went used to people with so low of credit limits!! Paid off a card still wouldn’t run it again!! 1 time per card per 24 hrs!! Said they had expensive equipment and don’t want it damaged I will never attempt to rent from these guys again!! Seamed to not like my insurance I bought from your site either!Cons:

the price I was quoted was ok but I returned car 27 hours early & still paid the same price also they added energy surcharge, concession fee recovery, vehicle license cost recovery & additional charges of $27.00 we added a second driver but there is nothing to say that was done. I have called twice to Hertz but so far no answer from them that makes any sence. why is it that your quote & their bill is not the same as I or anyone else would expect the vehicle was fine that they gave us bill is the problem!!!9.6 Wonderful

Keep in mind that if chains are required for the Snoqualmie Pass, no chains are available for rentals. So, you’ll have to wait out the weather! Would be helpful - for snowy locations - that something indicate that. But we got through just fine. Chain requirement was dropped by the time we picked up our car.10.0 Wonderful

When I called the toll free number to see about upgrading to an all wheel drive car, the customer service rep on the phone didn't speak very good English. He told me I couldn't upgrade and I had no other options. My husband called back, and the female customer service rep ALSO didnt speak English very well. I had to go there 3 times in a 3 hour period because no one was at the desk. They were very unhelpful and i ended up canceling my reservation and going with another company at the airport. There were 2 others there at the same time, everyone was very disgruntled. One person had to wait 4 hours because they didn't have a car and she had a reservation. I have a VISA debit card and I do not have credit cards but to pay for things in real time. My HERTZ rep said that they only take credit cards but he tried my debit after much prompting and it went through. Many people have gone the "Dave Ramsey" way of life since 2008 and so should businesses...Avis

I had scheduled to pick the car up at 1200. They closed at 12 so when I got there at 12 they had already closed and I didn't get the rental. Why offer a time to pick up a car at the time they close. I called customer service and they were unremorseful and couldn't cancel since it was with a third party. I couldn't get a refund because your site didn't allow it. So I'm out the cost of a car rental that I wasn't even able to pick up. This experience was extremely infuriating.4.4 Mediocre

I was charged $33 for being EXACTLY ONE HOUR LATE with my return. I picked up the car at 4:33PM on Saturday and returned it at 5:33PM on Sunday. Had the guy put it through the computer a few seconds earlier, I don't suppose I would've been charged. I can't believe that they have no way of waiving the charge. I do a lot of business with Avis, and this leaves a sour taste in my mouth!Easirent
