When you stay at Kerama Beach Hotel in Zamami, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Furuzamami Beach and Zamami Port. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, shuttle ...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a good place for staying in summer time for vacation, because in December it was too late in the year for enjoying the sea, which is the only thing we can do there. It was already too cold and raining day. Staff was helpful and smiling, shuttle bus for the village or harbor at any time.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really sweet and helpful and everything is well organised. There’s a free scheduled hotel shuttle bus service to the beaches and the port. One evening, when we returned late from Aka island, we were prepared to walk the 30 minutes from the port to the hotel. But the shuttle driver actually came looking for us and picked us up on the way. We also liked the traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast (alternating every second day). If you don’t like fish you might have a problem though.
Cons: At first sight the hotel (from the outside) and the surroundings seem a bit drab, but the nice staff, the free shuttle bus and the good food make up for it. We really enjoyed our stay! :-)
5.0 Okay
Pros: Owner was very, very kind and helpfull, food was very good, room wasn’t bad, clean but with dirty taras, very calm place.
Cons: Hotel rather gesthouse, building like after tsunami, room wasn’t made for 2 days, only one mid size towel, You have to pay for beach towels, room was at 3rd flor, reception at 4rd...without lift. As I said it was gesthouse but price was like for 5 stars hotel... 500$ for 1 room 2 nights, price is killing, not for this standard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My second stay here. The location is unbeatable. The food is delicious. The service is excellent. They will pick you up and take you to the ferry port. The beach outside the hotel is arguably the best on the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! Assuming you do your research before, this property is not directly on the beach, but rather you need to take a 15 minute walk or a shuttle to the swimming beaches. Given this, it's an amazing spot. The staff were amazing and super helpful. There weren't many people staying while I was there, so I essentially got a private shuttle around. The food was great. The beaches were outstanding.
Cons: The property is a bit run down, but this is expected given that you're on a tropical island that's hit by typhoons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of your staff. Excellent service
Cons: Nil

Pros: The owner is very kind and pick up us from the port. She explained what to see on the island, when there is low and high tide. We have japanese style room with tatami and futons. There were microwave, kettle and cups available in the room. Shower was available indoor but there were a few showers and a bathtub available on the roof.
Cons: Everything was great! Futons are quite hard. It was not a problem for us because it was not a first time for us when sleeping on futons. But if somebody likes soft beds, japanese style room is not for him.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were so nice! A very nicely located hotel, and walking distance to both beaches. Also, the place was very clean!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was really friendly although he can’t speak too much English but he did his best to help us with everything and informations. Room was clean and the roof top shower was amazing(for summer).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The shared kitchen had everything you Could need to cook up a delicious meal any time of the day. The facilities were outstanding, snorkeled and swam every day and the owner provided a place to wash self and gear or all the salt and scent that gets on you from the ocean before continuing the day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful, kind and happy people! I felt very welcome and was treated very good. I had breakfast and dinner, both were prepared in house and tasted fantastic. I slept like a baby, the rooms and sanitary installations were practical and clean. After 2 minutes walking I visited a beautiful beach. The beach was one of the cleanest I have seen in my life. I hope it stays like that for ever. Thank you for your great hospitality! I miss you very much!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host is really the nicest! She is really sweet and the shuttle she offers from the port is really practical. The place is really close from the beach and the room was really comfortable. We will come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed two days. It is my first visit to Jamami and it was the perfect place to enjoy Jamami Island. The staff is super kind and warm. It is very near the Ama beach where you can see sea turtles. So I can use the shower in this place easily after swimming or snorkeling. Also you can use free rental bicycle to the downtown. It takes 7 or 8 minutes. It is nice place to the person who travel alone. I felt comfortable at this place. So thanks a lot. I want visit again someday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. And speak a good English too. The room and evening inside the hotel were perfect. The hotel provides free shuttle service from and to the port. There is beautiful Ama Beach near the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner came to pick me up at the port! (I wasn't expecting that kindness so I was really impressed/speachless!!!!) She has been very kind and caring. She suggested the activities I could do during the day and book a snorkeling excursion for me (without waste of time). I speak Japanese and I was able to make questions but otherwise there are explanations of the facilities in English, also the owners speak English! The room with the tatami was very cozy and clean. I wish I could have stayed there more! I slept very well!! Food was delicious! Well cooked, simple yet savory and satisfying. There you can taste the real Okinawan dishes! Last morning they were so kind to bring me to a famous spot by car. Otherwise I would not have made it because my ferry was due to leave at 9:50. I was very lucky I have to say! I had a great experience and I cannot wait to come back again!!! Thank you very very much
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, wonderful hosts, very enjoyable and absolutely delicious meals in the company of the other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Very comfortable sleeping on soft matras. Delicious food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greeting at ferry felt warm and welcoming. Hosts caring, fun and committed to providing the best Okinawan experience. Tasty nutritious food with appealing presentation. Bathroom clean and user friendly for multiple guests. Cozy room with comfortable futon and plenty of space. Bicycle availability make exploring the island possible.
Cons: Shower was clean, but my least favorite part of the experience.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Small but very practical rooms. Chilled and cozy atmosphere, all meals were delicious !
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had such a good time there and the staff was so lovely! Unfortunately, we couldn't stay the four nights we had booked because of a typhoon, but Hanamuro Inn didn't make us pay more than the one night we had actually stayed, despite reservation. The prices seem a bit expensive at first glance but given that and the remote location of the island, they are more than fair!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel, the food was really delicious and the staff were really kind, considerate and helpful. The only downside is that it’s quite expensive (but probably to be expected on such beautiful and remote island). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s the perfect location for staying on Aka Island. Very clean an comfortable rooms with direct access to the terrace. Staff was amazingly friendly and dinner was delicious. It’s also possible to rent snorkelling equipment. The location is even better than it looks like on the pictures. We loved it.
Cons: As the rooms are all next by next and entrance is via the terrace, you hear the noises from the room neighbours. But guests are advised to be quiet from 21:00h and the island is very quiet anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Hanamuro Inn. It is a small guest house with a homely feeling. The rooms are cosy even if small and everything is sparkling clean. The little patio is very enjoyable for a beer and for dinner. The staff at Hanamuro is delightful and will help you with anything you might need. Hisae, who manages the hotel, is going to cook some of the best meals you will ever have. Aka island is a lovely quiet spot. It is very walkable but the staff provides transfers to the beach. We really loved it here and will be back as soon as we can.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are excellent! Hi Sae san cooking was delicious and nicely presented. Yuri speaks fluent English and friendly. It was fun hanging with them. It’s a small cozy place that I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience okinawan hospitality!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Basic with a touch of a little extra. The breakfast and dinner included was very good. The staff absolutely fantastic and very helpful. Would stay there again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is really close to the port and in front of a beach and of all the restaurants and shops (that are few but this is a good thing because the island is still not so turistic so no much people were there). The food was amazing every night and the staff super nice and kind. They also bring you to the most beautiful beach by car for free twice a day. Recommended!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: + Staff very friendly + Excellent dinners and breakfast + It is possible to rent equipment for snorkeling at the hotel and the staff can drive you to the best beach (although you can also reach it on foot)
Cons: - The hotel doesn't have a straight view on the beach/sea.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good enough for a short trip.
Cons: Air conditioning wasn't working properly.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse owner/manager was amazing, he was super helpful, driving us to beaches on the other side of the island, providing great suggestions for what to do, making sure that we had everything we needed and also providing delicious and cheap meals at the attached restaurant in the building. Some of the best food we ate on our trip. He also helped us book our ferry to the next island and drove us to the port in the morning to catch the boat. We were able to get extra towels for the beach and rent snorkels cheaply for the whole time we were there. Location was perfect, close to the port upon arrival which makes settling in easy. You can also easily walk to the other beaches on the island or get the shuttle from the port. We were there during off season but the weather was still great and the lack of other tourists made for a quiet and relaxing trip though many things were closed which limited options for some things.
Cons: The building and rooms were a little shabby but comfortable, obviously older but very worth the value to be on the island in such a great location. The futon beds are thin but fine when stacked and the bathroom attached to the room is very old school, tiled bath room where everything gets wet when the shower is on, but fine for the purpose. The was a bit of an ant problem but for a tropical destination that's to be expected.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The staff Allowed me to keep my luggage in the room for a while after check out. That was nice.
Cons: The mattresses were dirty. The sheets had hair on them. The room was at the back of a restaurant. There were quite a few ants in the bed, got bitten a few times.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very nice host.
Cons: Simple, cinder block rooms with thin floor pads for bedding.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nearby the port, nice price, food was excellent (adhoc sashimi ordered during dinner time)
Cons: Everything was excellent for only 2500 JPY/pax single traveller except there was a mosquito in the room. You need to rent a motorbike or a car nearby (several renral shops) to go to beaches or sightseeing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff, attentive and helpful!! Food. Very tasty Japanese cuisine! The beaches are beautiful! Fishing is great! Snorkeling is great! Thanks to the hotel staff!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really friendly, they can take you to the beach by car. They invited us to eat and drink with them it was very funny
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice host with good restaurant
Cons: No towels

Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a water dispenser. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
4.2 Okay
Pros: strong air condition in the room
Cons: abusevely overpriced having to pay in cash at the location is not convenient and not so clearly announced in the reservation. tiny room tiny bathroom for those prices I would expect at least a bottle of water in the room Staff helps in the end to manage smth for you (eg. a boat/taxi reservation) but only once you push them to do so. Initially they try to tell you to do by yourself. Attitude is the one of someone sit on a gold mountain and having others come willing to pay to sit there for a while. Not really a service attitude. Other islands have better beaches and better facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super welcoming staff, clean room, big room, good breakfast, very available, good scuba diving. Very close to center, walking distance to beach, restaurant and little shops.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were big, and location was AMAZING, you are literally 3 minutes walk from the beach, in a super quiet little cluster of buildings, a decent amount of chilled restaurants and a cool bar (or two not sure). 10/15 minute walk up the road and you have an amazing view of the pristine beach and can walk alongside the jungley nature, butterflies as big as my hand will swoop past you! Super friendly staff, even through a language barrier. Great breakfast in the neighbouring restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: The rooms were a tiny bit basic but nothing to complain about!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly (just make sure you study beforehand yourself, if you don't speak Japanese). The rooms are nice and clean. I had 3 beds in my twin room, could've used the extra space of the one bed.
Cons: It would be nice if the staff knew a bit more English. There was a typhoon arriving, but we were told to take the last speed boat, even though there was a slow ferry option available as well just before that. We only found out about it on the last minute, but I think it was because of the bad communication skills. Everything else was perfect, though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and lots of information and rentals available.
Cons: Checkout time is 10am, and the ferry times don't always coordinate. Although they will hold your luggage for the time between check out and when the bus comes to take you to the port (which can be upwards of 5 hours), you have to fill your time without the comfort of having your hotel. only downfall of such a small island.
