Cons: "Economy seat was very uncomfortable even though it reclined a lot. Was very disappointed I could not sleep on 12 hour flight. Arm rests too low? Shape of backrest was odd. Maybe provide a bigger pillow in addition to neck pillow to have something to rest arms on. Also tou need more movies. Singapore Airlines has many more options. Overall airplane, crew and food were very nice"
Pros: "I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. I’m very thankful they were able to get me on ANA flight at 8pm."

Cons: "1) when my flight was delayed significantly due to weather, I was not notified until I got to the airport 2) when the same flight was cancelled, I was on hold with JAL for over an hour before I could speak with customer service\ 3) customer service could not rebook me for another flight until 3 whole days later 4) I had to look on JAL's website and inform their customer service about flight options that were somewhat sooner 5) no compensation was offered for 2 days of delays and flying out of another city (I paid for my own transport to this other city in order to make my final destination on time)"

Cons: "Well they could have given me a free upgrade but I can live with a row to myself, kidding. When the ticket counter opens the agents stand in front of the podiums and bow and say a greeting (I think it was in Japanese). They need to get their timing better. So not much."
Pros: "Crew on ANA is always the best Also custom check in was amazingly fast, I went to the side custom check in by accident (there are two) It took less than 5 minutes, I didn’t not know I had to fill another card to leave japan but it was super easy as there was a person to guide me + basic info"

Pros: "The staff of ANA took superb care of us from the moment we entered the airport (both SEA and NRT); kindness, excellent food (choose the seafood diet, the food is excellent and you get served first!) and helpful directions in English whenever we looked the slightest bit confused. I will always look to fly ANA going forward. oh, and comfortable economy seats; enough room (I am 6'2") and no numb bum."
Cons: "Boarding is done by a bus trip onto the tarmac, then you take the rolling stairs up into the plane. No in flight entertainment of any sort."
Pros: "Check in is a breeze, the staff even helped me to load my luggages to the counter. Boarding is prompt and orderly. The food is excellent , love the kabosu, there is snack available at the back in case you are still hungry. Entertainment is good choices, headphone is nice."

Austin baggage services was closed and check in attendants were unablento help me delivered the luggage that was cracked for replacement. I ended up paying for a 2nd checked bag and leave it at Miami AA baggage services for replacement."

I compare them to hotel staff who are pleasant to greet and just try to make the trip/stay pleasant. Don't see it in United. I think it has regressed to almost like "robots"."
Pros: "United provided excellent service for my return from Puerto Rico to the mainland. Unlike other carriers, United quickly adapted to the reality on the ground and adjusted their schedules accordingly. The result was a safe, comfortable, flight for a very reasonable cost given the very short amount of time I had to make reservations. Thank you!"
