Everything was great except the pick up experience. The woman who helped us at the Avis counter was friendly, but the stall number that she gave us for the car was occupied by a different car than the one she has assigned us. We went to the Avis booth in the parking lot, and the woman there assigned us a different stall with a similar car to the one we had been promised. However, when we started loading our luggage into the car, another customer came up and showed us that he had been assigned that car as well. So we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman there agreed to assign another car to the other customer. Then, when we started up the car, it said "maintenance needed", so we had to go back to the Avis booth, and the woman told us that that was just about an oil change and not to worry about it.Reviewed 29 Jul 2026

They were rude and just useless. I told them that my Gold, Capital One Mastercard, covered vehicle rental insurance. I also provided the letter stating the card i have, as well as the coverage; but they insist that my card doesn't cover it, and that i needed a letter with my name on it. I called the credit card company, just to make them happy, and they said they don't issue letters in people's names. Booked the mystery car. It was unclear it could have been an EV. It was unclear how the charging worked, and the agent was rushed, only suggesting upcharging us to a regular car. It felt scammy and nickel and dimed.Reviewed 29 Jul 2026

When picking up the car, I was told the price would be almost double what I was told would be the total when I booked the car. I told the lady at the Avis rental counter that I didn’t want the insurance since I had purchased insurance through Kayak. She said she could see that. When I asked why the price was so different she said it was airport fees and said I needed to sign the agreement. I felt pressure to sign and I should not have but I did. Come to find out on my receipt that she did put the insurance on my agreement even though I told her I didn’t want it. When I reached out to Avis customer service they told me that since I signed the agreement they wouldn’t do anything about it.Reviewed 27 Jul 2026

I booked a car online for collection at Wagga Wagga Airport, and the entire process was quick and hassle-free. When we arrived, the young lady at the counter was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, and our car was ready to go. Returning the vehicle was just as easy. We parked it in the designated area at the airport and dropped the keys at the Avis desk without any issues. Overall, everything went smoothly from start to finish. You had the wrong address listed. The wrong company also. It had been bought out by Unidas and I had no one telling me that so i wandered around the airport for an hour trying to figure out what to do before i found out from some random information clerk that my rental was with Unidas. Then instead of the $50 i was quoted by your site I ended up paying $260 because your site failed to tell me about the cost associated with dropping the car off in a different city.
