i put an electric car on hold, but when i arrived i was told it would only have a range of 100-150miles. i was also told if i didnt bring it back charged fully it would cost me an extra $35 and that charging would take about 4-8 hrs. so for a one night rental i was looking to be charging/waiting around constantly. they did get me a gas car, but it wasnt cheap.Reviewed 30 Sep 2024

When we arrived at the pickup counter line, Avis had 5 agents behind the counter. 4 of the 5 went on break when they were done with their customer, leaving just one agent at the counter and a growing line behind us. Then the single counter agent started handling people who walked in straight to the counter to exchange their cars. At that point there was no moving line and it didn’t look like we had any option for talking to an agent. Finally an agent came back from break and seemed to be very annoyed that she had to deal with people. Car was dirty, I couldn’t see how the back window. Big line up. Computer was down. Only one person was attending and writing all info by hand. Other people were around but not interested in helping customer. Enterprise had 4 people helping customers, Gave me big vehicle (not asked for it) cost me more gas as well high insurance charges.Reviewed 28 Sep 2024

When we picked up the car we were advised that the full coverage we paid for was not recognized by Avis. If needed, we would be charged for damage and the we would have to file with Kayak for reimbursement. Not the seamless process we thought we were getting.Reviewed 28 Sep 2024
