Cons: The decor was a bit weird. The bathtub/shower sill was far too high and was dangerous (we were traveling with an architect and we are convinced that this height does not meet code). In addition, the gym was very poor. They only had a few machines and 2 of them were broken.

Pros: Unique Space Theme keeps kids and adults entertained. Rooms were well laid out and comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was excellent, cost 15 Euros, but so good that we ate there twice during our 3 day stay. Staff was VERY helpful in getting us where we needed to go on our short post-cruise stay in Spain.
Cons: Every noise in the room was heard by everyone, including the rest room and shower. An exhaust fan of some sort would have helped with this and would have ensured the shower was not also a sauna. Also, there was not much privacy in the shower area, so everyone had to turn around when each of us got out of the shower to dress. A privacy curtain would have helped with this.

Pros: Located in the heart of luxury shopping area, one block from Gaudi's two residential masterpieces on Passeig de Gracia (Le Pedrera and Casa Battalo are a one minute walk away, one to the left, one to the right). There is a 24-hr 'pharmacy' w/in 1/2 a block, and the on-off tourist busses stop adjacent to Le Pedrera (red line). Every person who worked at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. (Happily held our luggage until a room was ready, gave us access to their beautiful breakfast/lounge ((we declined breakfast as we wanted to start touring a sap but it was truly a 4-star spread, like a Ritz Carlton or similar class.) ROOFTOP BAR IS AMAZING - try a Martin Miller Gin Tonic (one of 8 different gin tonics offered), 360 degree view with glass "roof" will stun you), tapas list was great. ROOM was modern, blow your mind luxurious. Our 20' balcony faced the street (rm 901 has floor to ceiling glass with a huge balcony and electric blinds... The wall above our king size bed was also glass, all the way to the ceiling creating a 6x8' glass wall 'headboard' which also created a wall of glass above the tub in the bath room, letting the spectacular view and light flood into the entire bathroom, with a electric shade if you wanted to lower it....). I seldom photograph a room, but I tried this time because it was so spectacular. Great robes, slippers, nespresso machine, huge glass shower. We absolutely loved it - would love to move in forever.
Cons: I hated to have to leave and hope to go back for a longer stay. Note - this area is totally safe 24 hours a day and this would be a GREAT place for a woman travelling alone - this is a GREAT location. Entire staff, EVERY person, went out of their way to delight you.

Pros: Staff was very pleasant. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in so we chose to upgrade to a bigger room. The room, however, reeked of smoke so we went back and complained. They immediately changed us to another room. The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and shopping centers. Public transportation is a block away. Breakfast is excellent. There is a rooftop pool and bar with a great view.
Cons: The bathroom lacks racks and hookscto hang wet towels and clothes. TV has limited English channels. Limited electric outlet for US plugs so bring adapters.

Pros: We checked in with Daniel in the front, who was AMAZING. He is so sweet, attentive, and adorable. We couldn't stop talking about what a gem he is. He gave us tipa for our stay, offered to print out our tickets to La sagrada familia, which were ready for us as soon as we went downstairs. We really enjoyed the customer service here it was the best received in our entire trip in Spain.

There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

The pricing for everything is easily twice any other place that we visited in Barcelona, and there just isn't a reason for it beyond the hotel just charging more because they can. Pros: The staff was great, the hotel itself awesome. I just will not recommend it because of the area it is in. We got off the bus and the other tourist were gasping at the area. It was a little embarrassing getting off at this hotel. The staff did warm us to keep our eyes open which was great.

Around $30 taxi ride to the hotel so don't bother with airport bus but you still have choice with train and bus of course with cheaper. We paid more than $100 a night plus tax and fee but unfortunate not include breakfast... That's kinda disappointing but well.. Maybe something you can check with the hotel when u make a booking.

Pros: The greeting upon arrival at the hotel was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, and the room itself was very clean and comfortable, if small. The location is good. Access to the centre of town is via a very pleasant walk up Las Ramblas. It is also an equally pleasant walk along the promenade which is just next to the hotel.
Cons: All the rooms have kettles. Upon plugging in said kettle I received quite an alarming electric shock followed by a loud bang, sparks and smoke coming from the plug socket and a consequent power cut in the room. Whilst I accept these things happen as electrical appliances get older and need replacing, what alarmed me was the total lack of concern on behalf of the staff when I notified them that of what had happened, and of the fact that I had actually been electrocuted in their hotel room. In fact their only response was to send up a handyman to replace the kettle and reset the fuse. I mentioned what had happened twice at the reception desk and quite frankly other than showing some slight surprise they couldn't seem to care less. Another disappointing factor was the view. Many of the reviews, and indeed the website boast a fantastic panoramic view of the Barcelona skyline, whilst in reality the view, even from the 8th floor, consists of a massive pylon (which sits directly in front of the hotel) and an average vantage point of the Barcelona skyline at best.

Pros: The hotel is ideally situated at the bottom of the main road leading to all the shops and city centre. You can walk to most attractions and the night life is amazing. The bathroom in my room was amazing too with luxury bath and shower. The hotel staff are very friendly and will help you with anything. I would definitely stay there again. Spotlessly clean!
Cons: Take some teabags as you only get 2 per night with powdered milk. Breakfast was extra for my stay and eating out is a lot cheater than the hotels food. But the hotels food is excellent as a last resort. Just minor issues, other than those I have no real complaints at all about the hotel as it was amazing.

Cons: Choose this hotel partly because it was announced to have a roof top pool. Now it turned out the pool is about 5x3 m and less than a meter deep. Disappointed about this!

Pros: Great location, 10 minutes walking distance to La Rambla for dining and shopping. The hop on hop off bus stop is a block from the hotel for easy site seeing. We came from the cruise ship port and the taxi fare was only $11 Euros. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The room we had was a large suite with a separate living area. The room was modern, clean, with a comfortable bed and very well appointed. I would hesitate to staying here again on our next trip to Barcelona.

Pros: I like that is located very near the beach and some of the most touristy places in Barcelona. There is plenty of restaurants near by. The staff was very professional and accommodated me earlier then the usual check in time.

Cons: Breakfast was expensive and not included, also my room didn't have a window just a window into an inside rock garden? Weird, but it felt like a bunker. I would recommend this place if youre looking for affordable accommodations and will to be in your room so much.

Pros: hotel was nice and clean, great customer service, and we enjoyed our stay. the hotel is central and was a wonderful spot to explore Barcelona while being able to come back to the hotel throughout the day.
Cons: smoking right at the entrance. Europe is very different regarding smoking and we do not like smoking. there was no smoking inside and we had no problems in our room, but we did not like walking inside and have to walk through smoke. it was not extremely bad, but we are sensitive to smoke.

Cons: Hot tub was broken for the entire five days we were there. Pool was freezing cold, and staff refused to switch on the heater... saying they never heat their pool in October for any reason. They offered no form of compensation. Be warned - if something is wrong with your stay, the staff here is NOT empowered to anything about it.

Pros: Location was #1 for this hotel is right by the Sants train station which had a train straight into the airport, and just a two minute walk to the metro station which is a quick ride to the heart of town and port if your're going on a cruise. The employees were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and simple but had everything you could need during a hotel stay. We stayed 2 different nights and the balcony views of the city was excellent. The roof top bar serves an amazing sangria amongst other things but that was our favorite. The breakfast buffet was perfect and the coffee was beyond anything I could expect. We would stay here again!

Pros: Location in immediate proximity to the central rail station with direct service to the airport blesses any enterprise. The desk is covered 24 hours and a taxi to the airport if necessary is not too expensive. Rooms are clean. Beds are firm. Staff is friendly. Prices are modest. What's not to like? Catching a flight needs no surprises.
