10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host, charming garden and great breakfast. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Character and furnishing. As a family we had booked all the rooms which made the stay very special. Breakfast was freshly made to order and was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and would certainly recommend a visit.
Cons: No private car park but it wasn’t a real issue as was able to park right outside the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Despite not normally staying in B&Bs, we’ve stayed at The Old George a number of times now! It’s like home from home. Immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet and luxurious. Love the natural bath products and the breakfast with home made produce is such a treat!
Cons: Nothing! It’s fantastic.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host's attention to detail was excellent and totally focused on making our stay enjoyable and memorable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is an absolutely beautiful gem in the most gorgeous, typically English countryside village. I loved everything about my stay and would definitely return. Lots of little touches, such as beautiful wine glasses in your room, luxurious natural bathroom products and a teddy bear to greet you on your bed. The owner was really polite and helpful, and made the most delicious breakfast each morning. (We were staying as we had a wedding nearby and we could come and go as we pleased.)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A group of my friends all stayed here for a wedding nearby and absolutely loved it. The rooms are bright, airy and very comfortable. They all remarked on how good the breakfast was and thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
Cons: In such a small old village, parking can obviously be a challenge. Once you’ve found a spot, it’s worth just double checking with the host that it’s ok to leave your car there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic with something for every taste and prompt and beautifully presented. Rooms were very clean, flowers to greet us and everything one could wish for. Beds very comfortable. We were really made to feel welcome and special.
Cons: Bathing facilities geared to the young and agile. No grab rails on the bath which for those with mobility problems or ancient of days made bathing tricky. A stand-up shower was not possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic hotel with staff that made my stay wonderful, ate in the restaurant sitting in the garden and had probably the best meal I have ever had in the UK. If you stay there make sure you eat in house you won’t be dissapointed
6.8 Good
Pros: Very comfortable beds, good sized rooms, good quality breakfasts.
Cons: Room was facing onto the street and to the back of restaurant, needed privacy blinds as well as the curtains as quite exposed. Hotel sweet but ideally needs a complete refurbishment.
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good and accomodation good
Cons: Too expensive for what it was
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very attractive hotel - just right for a short stay in a country town. Very helpful staff.
Cons: It was a hot spell so Aircon would have been welcome.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Contrast between old period buildings and modern English Garden and rooms. Good dinner and breakfast fare.
Cons: The whirlpool spa-tub seemed to have a mind of its own turning on by itself. No AC I think but we didn’t need it.
6.8 Good
Pros: Really liked the tables under the awning, very attractive and pleasant on such a lovely weekend. Very good service; bacon not the best!
Cons: Our room (No 1) was strangely hot, which was rather oppressive and uncomfortable. A fan was provided which made us think it was an ongoing issue? Perhaps it is sited above hot water pipes or the kitchen, not sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful garden at the rear of the property, where the chef grows his own produce.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely service by staff, room was comfortable. Pleasant enough.
Cons: The food just didn't hit the spot for us. Overpriced for where it aims to be, without delivering the impressive results we hoped for. Cutlery and crockery were a bit worn and dirty for us. Hoped for more considering the higher pricing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The croissants, crisps and biscuits were home made. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and the recepionist went out of her way to assist booking a taxi for the event we were going to
Cons: Nothing not to like

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing welcome with a cup of tea and homemade cake! Lovely room and very comfy. Ideal location for where I needed to be the next day. Great breakfast - made especially for me and the time I wanted!
Cons: There was a shared bathroom which worried me slightly but it worked okay. There was another shower room and another toilet in case the bathroom was occupied. But cannot complain for the price paid.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Three nights, really good. If you want modern so called luxury, not for you. If you want to sleep in a room with 500+ years history, tasteful comfort and exceptional breakfast this is for you. Not a great sleeper but the peace and tranquillity gave good sleep for all nights. Small touches as fruit bowl and two types of bottled water in room showed care.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Parking, breakfast ,the rooms we had were comfortable but not what we expected.
Cons: Very remote . Active training stable.
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfy, clean and welcoming
Cons: A little too old fashioned for our taste. Doorways are about 4 inches shorter than I am as I discovered several times and have the scars to prove it.

Pros: Lovely new room, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great decor and a lovely shower, all hidden behind a wonderful old inn. Super quiet and relaxing. Very picturesque location and the dinner was very good too.
Cons: Given the price of the breakfast, continental menu choices were a little limited compared to other properties we have stayed at.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Views were amazing. Loved everything about the accommodation . The staff friendly in pub too. Nothing was too much. Breakfast was yummy.
Cons: Was further out from WestBay than it suggested on your reviews. Not the easiest to find tbh either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, very comfortable room, good food & relaxing Inn. Fantastic view from the beer garden. Everything it said in the write up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wynyard's Gap Inn is the perfect place to stay for someone looking for a place to stay in gorgeous rural surroundings. The inn itself is a several-hundred year old pub in the middle of the Dorset countryside. It's a very attractive pub and the meals are good. The accommodation consists of about 6 rooms and are very new. My room was very modern and spacious with a large comfortable bed. There is a terrific skylight looking up into the overhanging trees - see photo. The skylight can be covered at night with a remote-controlled blind. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully appointed. The shower was great (once I figures out how to use the water mixer). I had a hot breakfast there at additional cost (£9.50). The owners and staff were very friendly. The surrounding countryside is exquisite. It's hard to imagine a better rural retreat at a reasonable price.
Cons: A small negative is that the accommodation area is reached via an outdoor path with a few steps. It's not possible to roll a suitcase to the room - needs to be carried up the few steps. No other negative aspects at all.
10.0 Excellent
