Near the train station. Easy to get places.
Train station area is a bit run down. Centre is a bit of a trek and currently the tram is stopped for works.
The location next to the station is good if you are taking day trips anywhere or arriving/leaving by train but the centre of the old town is a bit of a walk. The bus will take about 12 minutes and is just outside the station. The staff were friendly. The common area downstairs was nice and WiFi was better here.
The air conditioning was on full but the room was still very warm (and this was not in the middle of the heat wave!). The shower cubicle is actually in the room with a frosted glass door so it's not very private if you are staying with friends etc. and its very cramped. This wasn't clear to me when booking. The towels were tiny but we asked for more. The location is beside the station so the usual problems near a station in a big city, dirty, noisy, anti social behaviour etc- it was fine during the day but felt a little unsafe late at night, it's a bit far to walk to the centre although the bus is convenient and they run frequently. The WiFi was not great in the room but better in reception. The bed was uncomfortable. It felt more like a hostel and thought it would be better for the price.
It was close to the station
At check in we were allocated a room on the 5th floor, when we got to the room another guest was already in that room. This concerned us from a security perspective, that someone may gain access to our room when we were out of the hotel. We had to come back to reception and got a new room on the 7th floor. After a long day travelling, we could have done without the ups and downs to reception! I actually booked this hotel by mistake as there are 4 IBIS hotels within 400 metres of each other, we had stayed at the 'normal' IBIS only 2 nights earlier, and I made the mistake thinking this was the same one. The rooms have no hairdryer, the bathroom is a pod system within the room, and the bed was not comfortable.
Too small and nothing in the room
Helpful staff, nice and clean room, near to the center, delicious breakfast.
Ibis budget, the smart accommodation choice! Choose to stay in an inviting, modern room when on your travels. Each room is designed to accommodate 1, 2 or 3 people (depending on the country) and has a shower, toilet and satellite TV - all for an affordable price. Kick start your day with a delicious breakfast for a price that won't break the bank!
