I went to pick up the vehicle in New Haven. They told me the car type and to walk out to the lot to find it. Found the vehicle and it was FILTHY! The outside was filthy but the inside was worse. Food and crumbs and trash everywhere. All surfaces were dirty and sticky. It smelled like vomit in the vehicle as well. I flagged down a worker and showed him and he said he would vacuum quick. He literally only vaccumed of the seats and then gave the car back. Did not offer to switch out vehicles. He said that the night staff forgot to clean it. I ended up having to stop and clean it myself and wipe all surfaces down instead. Still food and trash on the floors so threw out the trash. The vehicle continued to have a horrible odor making it an awful experience to use for three days. Will definitely not ever rent from New Haven Budget ever again.Reviewed 23 Jun 2024

Pros:Car was a good option, clean and pretty new. No issues with the car.Cons:Pick up and drop-off were rough. Both took nearly an hour due to short staffing. The one staffer at pickup wasn't wearing a mask even as he cleaned the car, which he only did after we showed up to pick it up. At drop-off, waited 45 minutes just to hand over the agreement slip after exiting the vehicle.Reviewed 9 Sep 2020
