Overpriced!!! I was rented an electric vehicle with only 155mi left before it needed to be re-charged. I was told that it had been on their charger for 2 1/2 days and that was as high as it had charged up to. Yet me being the renter was told I have to bring it back with just as much or more of a charge on it, or pay for having less than 155mi on it. Fortunately I was able to charge it at my work as they have a charging station and brought it back with 85mi more than they had given me. When I asked them if they were going to credit me for the extra miles I gave them, they said it didn't work that way. Funny how one sided they are isn't it?Reviewed 10 Sep 2024

The staff was fine. The car was subpar. I did enjoy the convenience of the rental being right there in the terminal, I did have a difficult time trying to find the mileage on the car because I wasn’t familiar with it.Reviewed 9 Sep 2024

At the counter it was great. I had to call customer service; however, and it was terrible. I had to repeat all my information to an automated service and then again twice to customer service. Please, please, please bring you customer care call centers back to the United States. I worked for Tmobile and Americans want to speak to Americans. The truck was not clean. It smelled like someone had been smoking in it. The tail gate was inoperable. A previous customer jambe it in the shut position. I did tell the attendant when I returned the vehicle. Consequently I was not able to use the truck as planed.Reviewed 9 Sep 2024

Likes: Vehicle worked very well and no mechanical issues. Dislikes: (1) The pick-up - The Midway car rental facility is in a separate location, but a shuttle is provided. The line for Budget looped around the ropes and stretched to the left end of the building. We stood in-line, after air travel and no a/c in the building, for about an hour and a half. The counter had about 3 active teller, meanwhile there were about 8 total stations. This piece didn’t make since because it was a Friday morning (busiest travel day) and other people in-line shared the same sentiments. There were people in line, including myself, actively looking to rent at some of the other rental companies, but couldn’t luck up since it was a Friday. This condition definitely changed my idea of visiting this location, using Budget and/or traveling in on another day of the week. (2) The car. Because of the massive line and wait, there were no more midsize cars avaliable. We were given the option of a pick-up, mini van or electric car. Since I had my parents with me, I went with the mini-van, knowing Chicago has a lot of street parking. The car was not clean. There were still old napkins and dirt on the seats and car. Luckily, we only needed the car for a weekend, otherwise I would have pressure for a reimbursement if I cleaned it.Reviewed 9 Sep 2024
