The vehicle had 64,000 miles with worn out front tires and very dirty. It was supposed to be an upgrade. This is the second time in Wilmington NC for a very dirty rental. This my last Budget rental for this location.Reviewed 16 May 2023

The staff behind the desk was friendly and helpful. However, the car that we were given wasn't clean. There was dust/dirt all over the outside, and-- to make matters worse-- there was no windshield wiper fluid in the vehicle (front or rear) to clean the windows. Staff was helpful but the 1990 technology was abmissmal. System crashed three times during pick up process. I felt bad for the employee. Can't believe Budget can still find ink for their dot matrix printers. Then after calling three months ahead for three infant car seats only to be told they have one and they 'weren't sure what to tell me'....um go buy some. I flew 500 miles without carseats. If you had disclosed you didn't have them I would have brought mine. Lord! Seriously reconsider Budget or Avis. I'll go back to Enterprise and pay a bit more.Reviewed 8 Nov. 2022

We decided to get the car a few days earlier and changed the reservation with the help of customer service of budget itself. We also recieved a confirmation with the new data. As we tried to pick up our car we had to learn that the budget shop will not honor our reservation and that they have no car for us. Fur sure we had a lot of trouble to reorganize our whole trip.Reviewed 24 Sep. 2022

When we arrived for pickup there was no one at the counter. A sign said he was out moving cars. We waited 15 mins for his return. We had reservations for a car but was told he had none available. No further explanation. Was not friendly or apologetic. Simply stated ‘I don’t have any cars’. His suggestion was to check with other companies & see if we could find something. Upon further questioning, he told us he had 2 cars due back at 6. Our reservation was for 5. We waited and a car was returned at 6:05 so we received that one. It was filthy. Sticky from spilt drinks. The car was not cleaned for us. We literally signed paperwork and handed us the keys for the car. We asked for him to go look at the car to be sure nothing was wrong with it, no damage, before we took it. He reluctantly went out and did that. And we took the car. Return to a different location.. just as unfriendly. Paperwork was signed. And we left. No inspection of the car.Reviewed 18 Jul. 2022

Waited over 30 minutes. There was a group of about 10 ahead of me. One rep was helping people. A second Budget rep was sitting at the truck rental counter. After I had waited 15-20 minutes and a couple people got behind me in line he finally got off his butt and came over and helped the other guy process the large group. The Budget Avis lines at Charlotte (a separate rental) and Jacksonville airports (where I had to go because they had charged me for gas and the person checking the car in in the garage couldn't correct the mistake) were extremely long. I will do my best to avoid Budget/Avis in the future.Reviewed 7 Jun. 2022
