comfortable surroundings in restaurant and bar, decent wine selection and food was ok and reasonably priced.
I had to go to the kitchen every time we wanted a round of drinks to find staff to serve us, except when the female bartender stood a metre from our table watching the tv show we had on for an hour, completely ignoring empty plates and glasses on our table. I cleared them myself in the end.
The breakfast was great, and the breakfast waitress was extremely helpful, curteous and polite.
Upon arrival on Sunday 14/11/10 there was no receptionist on the desk and I had to look for assistance. When going into the resturant for an evening meal, I had to ask a member of staff to take my order as they did not come to the table. I had a sunday roast meal and there was very little mashed potato as it appears the mash had ran out. Everytime I went up to the bar for a drink I had to go and search for a member of staff to serve me which became quite annoying. The promotion re the wine and price was also misleading. Not all the channels on the free view box worked in the room.
The only thing I liked was the Breakfast on the second and third morning, on the second morning I was greeted by a very friendly lady by the name of Iva, on the third morning by a man (whos name I dinn't ask, on both these days the breakfast and service was excellent.
The service of breakfast on the first day.
the staff were frendley and it was very clean and nothing was to much trouble
Bathrooms need updating - forget the bath just put in a good shower. Difficult with cases when negotiating stairs & through fire doors in upstairs hallway. Meals to not have to be so big. We enjoyed our stay and your staff were very pleasant. Our family reunion was fantastic & we thank you for your co-operation in that regard
