Cons: after dinner in the evening we came up to our room. my daughter have asthma she started coughing and we felt it smelled of strong smoke (hashish) I called directly to the front desk and asked what was happening at their hotel. they offered us other rooms but it smelled there too. there was probably someone who smoked in the room so it went into ventilation to the other rooms, unfortunately the clock was too much otherwise we had changed hotels, we also had to convert our new room when they couldn't help us with that. this is our experience at this hotel, we thought they would take it a little more seriously but they didn't. This is not okay it is totally forbidden too smoke in European hotel

Pros: Staff was nice. Hotel is close to airport, is well kept, clean and has free parking and a grocery shop literally 50 meters behind and across the street. Room was spacious and comfortable. Overall good value for money.

Cons: Worse that terrible. Sketchy would be puting it nicely. This place is abysmal. Do us all a favor, and tear it down and start over. NO AIR CONDITIONING??? I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons, but a lot of the stench of the hotel would go away if you had air conditioning, and it wasn't 85+ degrees and the filth wasn't percolating within itself. Yuck!!

We are 15 min from Brussels South Charleroi Airport via a direct bus route. The Stade du Pays de Charleroi stadium, Spiroudome arena and art galleries are a few minutes from the hotel. Feel at home with ibis.

Cons: On arrival was informed that my car would not be safe if left out front of hotel. ( Gangs of immigrants roaming around )12.50 for secure parking. Area to rear of hotel looks like bomb site. Police finally arrested 2 people and dispersed the remainder. Requested extra pillows but couldn’t use them as so badly stained. Woke up with several bites can only assume bed bugs as windows closed all night. Did not have breakfast as additional 14.50 per person.

Cons: We were at the 4th floor and it was very cold even if we closed the ventilation system of the window and turned on the heat(30 degrees) in July. The attic is not well insulated and the wind passes under the windows through the parapet.

Although the surrounding fields give it a country feel, the hotel is on one of the main access roads into Charleroi, and within easy reach of the companies that make this region famous (Caterpillar, St. Gobain, AGC Flat Glass etc.). Pros: We arrived at 2 am in the morning and were welcomed very kindly. We had handled the reservation and payment on the way, so check in was easy and smooth. Then we slept, woke up when house keeping knocked, got up and left. The beds were good and we were happy that check out was at 11 and not already at 10. The hotel is a bit worn down but the rooms, linen and beds are clean :)

He assisted us in getting a taxi, getting train tickets, gave great advice and even let us print something for a totally different trip for free! We greatly appreciated his customer service.
