Pros: Lots of character.
Cons: The batteries in the tv remote were corroded and had to take them out and file with an emery board to get it to work. No plug for the tub so had only the shower to use. Toilet very slow to flush. Room was 3 buildings away from check in.

6.7 Good
Pros: Great outdoor amenities
Cons: Maid service didn’t change our towels the 4 nights we were there. My granddaughter had an accident and we requested that linens on the one bed be changed, the lady at front desk and cleaning were not friendly at all. The maid service left the sheets outside the room door.

Cons: At check out, luggage carts were unavailable----then I noticed why: cleaning staff were using three of them to load linens into work vehicles; guests had to wait!

Pros: The location and scenery are amazing. Easy to tie the boat up. The pool facility is just perfect, love that you can see the channel and watch the boats come and go.
Cons: The room smelled heavily of marijuana. Which either dissipated or we got used to. The A/C kept resetting to 75-85. Theres a dehumidifier in the room that was full on arrival and not running. We had to empty it 3 times during our stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice resort - we’ll be back!
Cons: The hall and staircase rugs should be replaced.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Rooms are old. You can actually see the hole in the fabric on the arm of the green chair in one of your pictures. That was our room! Unless all the rooms have green chairs with holes in the arm. The pool is 3 feet deep, so you can't swim. 3 stars at best.

7.0 Good
Pros: Check in and check out went smoothly. The room was prepared and the air conditioning was on.
Cons: Due to the Covin-19 restrictions. The breakfast room was not set up. There being no sign to the contrary, I fixed a little breakfast, and ate it standing in the breakfast room. The desk clerk walking through and informed me that the room was not open for eating. I thought he was a little rude, and should have apologized for the inconvenience.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed and pillows were comfy.

Cons: I didn't care for the location. It was on a main highway and NOT walkable to anything. If you want a new, clean hotel and want to drive everywhere, this would be OK for you. I prefer a charming place, walkable to bars/restaurants, and this was not that.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for a steal of a price
Cons: There were some minors issues in the room, but they were handled quickly
6.0 Good
Pros: Great waterfront location with amenities on site. Rooms aren’t in the best shape but we were there for the location.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and the ambience of that location are magnificent. It’s a lovely spot on a beautiful sort of lagoon that is wonderful to experience.
Cons: It looks 100 years old as a hotel, and it’s just so tired… And it smells musty. I wish I could say better, because I love the place. It just causes my allergies to flare up.
7.0 Good
Pros: My room opened up to the Marina. It was quiet and I was able to rest.
Cons: The room was old but clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is stunning and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
Cons: The hotel is very tired and in need of a complete overhaul. Old noise air conditioning, lights not working ect.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: On the water
Cons: Smelled, walls were thin - could hear people next door.
7.7 Good
Pros: The place was on the water and had many amenities. A restaurant and inside and outside bar with food and entertainment, it is also pet friendly. It’s also a marina so there were boats for hire to take a cruise down the Crystal River. It is located close to everything and the staff was superior.
Cons: The hotel/marina has been there for many years and shows the years. A little bit of maintenance could make it much better. The bathroom in my unit had a much needed paint job and actually it made the bathroom look dirty.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The view is nice.
Cons: Staff is completely unprofessional. They opened my door and banged on it extremely loud in the morning before I was due for check out and let my cat out of my room. They didn't help me look for her or even apologize. Horrible experience,I'll never go back
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the layout of the room but I used mostly the bedroom part. I love the view. I don't mind the excerise when climbing the stairs. There are no elevators! Keep that in mind when booking.
Cons: The owner of The Port Hotel and Marine could done better to preserve the icon hotel since the celebrities, even the King of Rock and Roll Elvis stayed there decades ago. The hotel should've keep up throughout the years to make it look beautiful. They could done loads better. I mean, this is an historic building. I hate to see it razed in the future if the owner didn't do anything. I've read reviews some people saying Marriot might buy it. I don't know if that's true or not. I hate to see the uniqueness gone for profit over historical. I also don't let like the idea of having extremely tall building - just keep it at two or three levels. You don't see floor plans and set up like that anymore. The room I stayed in made me a touch nervous because of the door. It has a sliver of opening near the bottom and I'm not fond of bugs (that didn't happen thank goodness). It's possible a super tiny gecko gotten in or maybe from the slider (I love geckos btw!) so far can't tell. The bedroom part only has one lamp by the bed and none at the desk. I wouldn't mind if there's another lamp for the desk. I wish the room was done nicely and updated. Show some pride! Show us you cared about the old buildings! Care about history and its significant in the early days! If I had the money, I'd update the whole thing with 1950s? 1960s? look but modernized it. Have photos of celebrities, even Elvis because he was there to make the movie Follow the Dream (I hope that's the correct title) in the rooms. Or show Crystal River's wildlife photos. I could go on and on. It wasn't too bad a stay. In a way it's my fault. I could've asked for a different room with better, safer door.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Modern & airy, in a good location for Crystal River activities. Clean with a reasonable breakfast offering and some nice extras like cookies on arrival and a hot drink station 24/7. Would stay again.
Cons: Front desk seemed harassed on our arrival and weren’t at all apologetic about not being able to give us the room type we’d booked! Like it was our fault for using a booking website.

7.0 Good
Pros: Check in and check out went smoothly.
Cons: The fridge had a moldy smell in it. You have to pay $20 if you wanted an extra towel and they only give you two. The pool was not clean. When the sun goes down there are a not of noseums (the small bugs) it was very unpleasant to be outside for any duration of time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy, just what we expected

Pros: Clean, enough space in the rooms, nice touches for promoting environmental concerns.
Cons: One window in the walkway, no blinds, daytime you may need to keeps curtains closed for privacy and have no light entering into room.

Pros: Not crowded
Cons: Food and animal bones in parking lot, walking area to rooms? 2 to 3 foot hole, caved in section of wallboard in room, no hot breakfast and very few items to select, carpet in room seems unclean in a long time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonably priced for a nice hotel. Very nice, clean, comfortable and accommodating. Really appreciate them not giving us a fuss about being a little late on check out... so we ended up staying another night since they were so pleasant. Our bed was extremely comfortable. Scotty at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: N/A
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The door was crooked and allowed hot air and nats to come in plus I could hear everything outside. I didn't get any sleep and if I did I woke up to ppl shouting or running up and down the stairs. Room #110 was my room. I will never stay there again!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The air was goin out if we put it on heat
7.0 Good
Pros: Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating when we needed to add an extra night. Housekeeping was limited, due to COVID-19, but she did check in with us to see if there was anything we needed prior to the end of her shift. Location is quiet, and beds were comfortable.
Cons: The lighting in the room was very drab and dark. We had to leave the curtains open during the day so we could see, which greatly limited our privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house cleaning ladies were great. If I needed something they made sure I had it. The front desk staff were very accommodating also.
Cons: I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Pros: I like the view from the balcony, even though it was a bit obscured by the trees. I liked having a nice big window to the front and the slider for lots of natural light. I wish I could stay another night in that room. I miscalculated the nights when booking on-line. At least I know next time! :)
Cons: Their wi-fi was a bit spotty. I had to reconnect a few times.
