I reserved weeks ahead of time, but when I got there, thu said that they didn't have a car. They explained that they book many more reservations than they actually have cars for. They didn't seem to care about that policy negatively affecting travelers. I waited for two hours, and was eventually able to get a car. Th clerk wasn't apologetic in the slightest.Reviewed 12 Oct. 2022

Dollar refused to rent me the car because I had a debit card. They had a policy document they showed me that clearly stated they would accept a debit card if the card carried a Visa or MC logo (it does), and I could provide proof of a return flight (I showed them my ticket). They still refused saying that is not what their policy means. I missed my return flight and had to purchase a hotel stay and new airline ticket because of Dollar employees at SyracuseReviewed 8 Aug. 2022

Dollar had over rented their cars, so we had to wait 1/2 hour despite having a reservation. Once we were given a car, it severely smelled of cigarette smoke. We went into trade the car, and the woman working the front desk was very gracious and accommodating. Without her, this would be a 1 star review. She turned it around for us by providing us with a small upgrade and prompt service. She is worth five stars to dollar; whomever was checking cars prior to them being rented needs to do a more thorough job.Reviewed 26 May 2022

They were CLOSED when I arrived. My flight was changed at the last moment and I arrived a little later then expected and no one was there for me to get my car. Had to rent a car from Alamo and still have not heard anything about a REFUND on what was paid.Reviewed 10 Sep. 2021

Our vehicle was dirty inside. There was food on the carpet and garbage in the side of the doors. The registration in the glove box was expired. The car did not smell like it had been cleaned.Reviewed 2 Aug. 2021

I’m not sure my issue was with Dollar or Priceline but my reservation could not be found at the rental car counter at my destination so I called Priceline to inquire and they stated that the only thing they could do was send an email to the rental car counter to confirm that they couldn’t in fact locate my reservation which they said could take 10 days for them to respond so I could then be refunded. So I’m at the rental car counter with no reservation because it couldn’t be found and no refund. The simple solution would have been for the Priceline rep to either get on my phone w the rental car (Dollar/Hertz) rep and talk to them or call them directly right then and there to rectify the situation. So I ended my phone call w Priceline because they were useless and the Hertz agent then proceeded to match everything my original reservation had in it. Needless to say I won’t be using Priceline or Dollar to book a future rental car. I would like to be refunded ASAP and be kept in the loop as far as when I will be reimbursed for this abortion of an experience renting this vehicle.Reviewed 10 Jul. 2021
