10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best B&B on our Ireland trip! We wished we had stayed longer than just two nights. The room (we had the larger 3 bed room) was very clean, spacious and had a huge bathroom with ocean view, too. The whole house was stylish, friendly and clean with a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic and included fresh fruit salad every morning. The breakfast room has also Ocean view and can be used as living room by the guests. The hosts provided us with very good tips and hints. They were very nice, friendly and always helpful. It was also very convenient to start the cliff walk directly from the house (just a short walk on the road to the walking trail). Hiking in the Burren area is also something you should not miss when you are in this area.
Cons: Our stay was too short :-(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was absolutely spotless and the host was so incredibly accommodating and kind. The location is perfect as it’s only a mile or so to the Cliffs. We could not have had a better time here — if we come back to Ireland, this is where we will stay!

We'd most definitely recommend the Island View Bed & Breakfast!

Pros: The location. In the middle of nowhere, wonderful landscape. Tom&Doreen, they are so kind!
Cons: No GPRS/3G coverage, you are isolated. Though this might also be part of the charm!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Martin, was fantastic...attentive to his guest's needs and helpful in suggestions of sights and activities in the area! Immaculate, comfortable room with modern private bath. Breakfasts were good and healthy. Great location just outside the village of Doolin, 15 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher and a short distance from the Burren.
Cons: There is nothing not to like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Martin is an awesome host with excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. We had hoped to do a guided Cliffs of Moher walk but arrived a tad late for its start on a rainy and windy day. He was kind enough to help us verify that it was indeed cancelled since I had not had internet access. He also allowed us to store our luggage before check-in/after check-out so nothing would be visible in our rental car while we explored. Our family room was very comfortable with a modern and spacious bathroom and living area with kitchenette. Breakfast was hearty and delicious as well as elegantly presented. It was interesting to chat with Martin, too, for some local insights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was excellent!Better than 5*hotel.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The owner was very unprofessional and wasn't even there when we checked in only to ask the following morning if it was my sister eating breakfast with me I said yes and in his mind that was "hiding" my mother the other guest and condemned us and charged us an additional $50€
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, Martin
Cons: N/A

Pros: Perfect! This place was incredibly clean with large rooms and GREAT breakfast. Walking distance to everything in Doolin. We walked across the entire town in 15 minutes. I saw some reviews about this place being far out of town which gave us some doubts when booking. Those reviews were either written by someone very elderly or someone who is VERY lazy. This place is a 3 minute walk from the closest restaurant/ pub and 15 minutes away from the farthest restaurant/pub; we will be booking here again for multiple nights next time.
Cons: 5/5

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amy was super helpful with showing us things to do in the area and how to get to those places. The breakfast was amazing too!!
7.1 Good
Pros: The owners are amazing and SUPER friendly. I was very impressed by the breakfast options - MADE TO ORDER - wow!
Cons: The beds were more comfortable than other places we stayed, but the mattresses still seemed a bit saggy; it could just be a Europe thing. The cleanliness and great breakfasts made up for the mattresses though - and, we still slept well, we're just used to a firmer, plusher mattress. It would have been nice to get a few more "locals" tips...such as what is appropriate for tipping a taxi driver for a one mile ride (answer: nothing, also, it's going to be $10 eruos which is way high) - and the ferry ride to the first Aran island plus Cliffs cruise...yeah, the first island is so sparse, it's not really worth going to.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. GOOD COOKED CHOICE. NEED BETTER FRESH FRUIT AND YOGHURT CHOICE AS WELL AS ON COOKED BREAKFAST LIST.
Cons: LOCATION WAS OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE AND A LITTLE TOO FAR AND ROAD TOO BUSY AND NARROW TO WALK ON. PARKING AT THE B&B WAS LIMITED AND ON A RAISED SITE WHICH WOULD NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ANYBODY WITH MOBILITY ISSUES.
7.7 Good
Pros: Host gave great recommendations for dinner and local music
Cons: A little bit out of town.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Fab place to stay owners very accomadating would definstly reccommend

Pros: Had a less than ideal stay at a hotel in Belfast the night before and gave it a bad rating. Here's what I wrote at the end of that review: "The next night I stayed at the hotel Doolin near Galway. Walked to my room, given a newspaper, asked if I needed a wake up call, given a free drink at the bar, breakfast included, plenty of parking, a beautiful clean modern lobby and a wonderful bed, all for less money. The contrast was remarkable..." Absolute pleasure to stay at Doolin.
Cons: Nothing. Fantastic place.

The Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel is on the West Coast of Ireland, 4 miles from the spa town of Lisdoonvarna and 3 miles from the village of Doolin. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is extremely well appointed, room was large and comfortable, views were stunning. The restaurant service and food were outstanding for both dinner and breakfast. As an added bonus the owner gave us a guided tour of the 11th century castle ruin which adjoins the property.
Cons: Nothing.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Had a bag stolen while I was there. The staff was not helpful at all about it. I think the staff is transient and rotates every couple of weeks on a work half day for travel expenses basis and did not care at all about service. They didn’t even try very hard to locate the bag or track it down.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gorgeous, classy, historic place owned by a very nice family who work so hard to maintain a high level of excellence. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. The staff were all sweet, attentive. We love the area and this is a good place from which to go and explore it all. A pub and a castle ruin all within the property are a welcome bonus.
Cons: Could have used more electric outlets in our room. But this is a very minor inconvenience and we made do.
