Pros (+) Good restaurant on site, coffee at all hours, shuttle bus to the airport, and best of all, an easy walk to the tram to downtown Edinburgh.
Cons (-) Well, a big sign mentions chair massage at the spa, but it turns out they have to bring someone from the airport to do this and it must be booked in advance. A bit of a disappointment after a long day in uncomfortable aircraft.

Pros (+) Very spacious room with nicely appointed furniture. Beautiful view of the Castle from the room. Nicely located near Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle so close to popular tourist sites. Desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful Really impressed by how pleasant everyone was. Breakfast was well done and reasonably priced.
Cons (-) Unfortunately, while the hotel is nicely situated for tourists, the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Lots of closed businesses, pole dancing school (?) and generally run-down.

Pros (+) Staff were excellent, and friendly, breakfast very good. Nice eating/drinking area near reception. Airport shuttle bus service very good.
Cons (-) Room was clean but very tired, needs updating. Public area toilets were dirty on my arrival in the evening, they were even worse the next morning after breakfast.
