10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here has absolutely exceeded our expectations. The staff here went above and beyond. First off, the location is perfect, especially if you are coming or going with a Supratours bus. The breakfast was great and they offered us a tea when we got there and when we were leaving. They had no problem holding our bags for us and even printing out our boarding passes. Currently, we are writing this review from a "resort" in Marrakech, & just wishing we spent another night there instead. Wifi worked great in all parts of the riad, security cameras are outside of the riad in the alleyway and they'll even meet you at the door at night. It is completely safe walking to and from the riad at night. The bed was comfortable as well. We had trouble contacting our next accommodation due to unanswered emails and they even called them for us. This riad is a 10+.
7.0 Good
Pros: Helpful staff and free laundry) also nice breakfast. Good value for its price.
Cons: Location near gulls nests - they are Very noisy all day and all night. And very low height ceilings and doors. Its okay if you are kid, but I always had to walk bended in the room and bathroom to avoid crushing head.

Cons: No problems at all.

Pros: This hotel was absolutely amazing, the facilities very clean and the massage at the spa was phenomenal. We felt very relaxed and were looked after excellently. On the last day we were getting a transfer at 6pm and were allowed complimentary late checkout. Thank you for a fantastic stay
Cons: It took about 15mins each way to and from the centre of town, which was an extra cost, but not a big problem
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is very beautiful with palms, trees, bougainvillea and flowers. There are two heated swimming pools, one adult only. The staff is very friendly. The food in the hotel is delicious and fresh. It is so good that you always want to stay there. Our room was upgraded by the hotel which was a positive surprise. The view from our beautiful room was amazing and you could enjoy the hills with argan trees and a unique sunset.
Cons: All was excellent. My only suggestion is to add a fridge in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The pool area was in a lovely garden setting with beautiful flowers and plants. The sounds of the bull frogs st night and the clarity of the night skies were fabulous.
Cons: The property could do with a refurb in places. Our bathroom while clean enough was tired. The room was quite small so as the door opened the bed was right there! Also, there was no chair in the room, although we did have a small balcony with chairs and table.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, everything was fabulous and so relaxing!!

Pros: baasma welcomed us with a huge smile and hosted us better than we expected or imagined it was my best stay in all Morroco the staff is amazing and the villa is facinating
Cons: not all rooms have a bath tub, we booked the last room so the bathroom did not include a tub
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was very close to the beach and easy to reach it.
Cons: We had to leave before breakfast started and did not make it available for us. They gave us a breakfast to go, but contained food that needed spoons but there were none, and fruit that would be messy to eat on the road. Toiletries in bathroom only the most basic, like soap.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The tradition of morroco Calm place
Cons: No elevator
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Although a good 25 min walk to the Médina, the location was great as it was close to the beach and quiet. Unique experience.
Cons: I guess I was expecting a little more for the premium price paid. I came to realise that expectations when visiting Morocco need to be adjusted a little compared to western countries.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very near the main street and on the promenade from the beach. We were really great welcomed by the hotel staff and get directly a tea and cakes for the welcome. The hotel is very beautiful from the inside and everything is beautiful to look at. In every Etage the floors are in a other way decorated and you can sit there and enjoy the talk and relax there. On the roof is a terrace and from there you have a really beautiful view to the sea and beach. Even when the sun is going down, you can look it from this spot perfectly. Inside and outside from the hotel its very silently and beautiful. The garden itself is nicely decorated and its perfectly to rest there and read a book in silent. The swimming pool is not the biggest, but its enough to cool down and to swim a small distance. The staff on this hotel is very friendly and active with their service. It was the first hotel in Morocco that they this kind of great and friendly staff that i visit, where you dont need to run after everything. We had at our time there many people from the USA and Great Britain there. Even a family with children, but it surprised how well mannered there were and silently at night and daytime. We never get a feeling of uneasiness because of this. We enjoyed the time perfectly and could really rest there very well. In the night, even the main street is very silently and we could fall asleep without any problems. In the morning you have a very tasty breakfast. You dont have there the biggest selection but its highly quality. Quality before quantity. Its a hotel which i will visit in the future very often, when i will go to visit Essaouira. Its the perfect place for people who want to relax and love to have it silently.
Cons: They needed a little bit time to prepare our rooms. We even arrived 1 hour later as the normal Check In time, but they even needed mostly 1 hour until our rooms were completely prepared for us. When we was waiting in the hotel in the main hall we was listen to a beautiful guitar music, from the sound it was perfectly and relaxing, but it would be better to have a big list of playlists that they would play, because sitting there and listen the same guitar again and again is making someone feeling more unwell and stressed , when it comes to a hour or more. The light above the mirror in the bathroom didnt was so suitable for the rest of the decoration of the rooms. It destroyed a little bit the great view, feeling from the beautiful decorations that are in the living / bedroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: The bathroom was spotless, very clean. The breakfast was very good!
Cons: The hotel decoration is tacky. The extra bed was really uncomfortable and there were mosquitos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: what a lovely place and beautiful interior. Close to the beach, cosy garden, excellent breakfast and my compliments for the staff. Without even having to ask, we were offered the opportunity to change clothes and grab a quick shower even after check out. This hotel is one of the few places left where personnel service is up to high standards. Chapeau!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful team, who gave great advice about placed to eat and who arranged a good value car transfer direct to Marrakech Airport. A relaxed atmosphere despite an exceedingly stylish decor - it's certainly offers an amazing setting for breakfast. Essouira Medina is a 20-25 minute walk or short 10dh taxi ride away. A pleasant beech restaurant and bar within a few minutes walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor, furniture and appointments were very luxurious. The staff is very friendly. Great location, right across from the "action" end of the beach. The pool is wonderful. If you stay here, you must try out the pink bean bag in the pool - very relaxing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a beautiful place to stay in Essaouria the staff were extremely helpful and friendly - gave us bottle of wine on arrival and upgraded us to a suite because our room was not ready, Could not fault this villa in any way it was extremely clean, very friendly staff and exceptionally good standards. We enjoyed our stay here of 4 nights and wish we had stayed longer.
Cons: Loved the location, the decor was amazing, staff very helpful and friendly, pool area and gardens very relaxing all in all a magnificent place to stay and would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Essaouria.

Pros: The room and courtyard were beautiful, especially the shower/bathtub. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
Cons: The location was a bit out of the way on a dark street. But in such a small town, it was not a major issue.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful especially the bathroom with the sunken bath.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Great staff.
Cons: Was there during ramadan so restaurant facilities weren't fully functioning. Very limited menu. Wanted to order a light dinner in the room and wasn't able to. I was told I had to go to the restaurant to order anything other than a snack, however, when I got to the restaurant, there was pretty much nothing on the menu that I could order so settled for a snack that I could have had in my room. I daresay that outside of ramadan the hotel restaurant has more to offer.

Pros: We LOVED the riad and our experience there. The room was incredibly beautiful, charming, and unique; and overall the riad was a great place to hang around. Special mention goes to one staff member — Gregi (likely we’re misspelling his name). He gave us a passionate introduction to the city that allowed us to discover every corner of it, and he had a contagious joie de vivre. He accommodated all of our requests, and set up an amazing dinner for us in the last second (best food we had in morocco). In short, great hotel and even better staff!

Cons: Flies
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast on the roof each morning was really nice. Location is brill - in the middle of the Medina.
Cons: There's loads of noise coming from the side street in the night. Sometimes it was ridiculous - groups of youths walking round and shouting at like 3am, which was strange because the hotel is down a dead-end alley :/. We know this is part of being in a Medina, but just be aware that lack of aircon means you'll need the window open, and nobody goes out to ask the people shouting to be quiet.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, very accommodating, we needed to stick around after check out time and they were more than willing to let us hang out in the lobby or on the rooftop. They allowed us to have a late breakfast, which was appropriated. The room was beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable. Located right in the medina, everything was in close walking distance. The rooftop was very relaxing.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit musty and had mold in the shower. I know it's common in the area, but it made the bathroom feel grimmy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great location!
Cons: The alleyway, should have kept it cleaner, but I think that's a general problem in the city.

Pros: The location is quite easy to find, the staff is friendly and the rooms are really clean and nicely decorated. It has a shared bathroom on each floor but we didn't mind as it was well located and didn't bother any other tourists. The brakfast was really tasty and nicely served. We were very satisfied with this place. Greetings!
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean, nice rooms
Cons: Was not greeted on arrival by mateo who was fully aware that we had just arrived, however he felt that a white Person behind us in the queue was more important than us. We did however not take it to heart but in the morning we requested a coffee and was told that they would bring it to our room. This simply did not happen and they acted like we were invisible. Overall we were made to feel totally unwelcome. We were again ignored by mateo when checking out. The Moroccan guy working there was polite. Mateo is the owner and host but felt that other people were more first class citizens and we were just second class. It’s a shame because when people are travelling they go to enjoy themselves and not be surrounded by such negative energy. Will not stay here again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really clean and beautifully decorated rooms with nutritious and tasty breakfast for a decent price. Located in the centre of essaouira, just 5 minutes from bus station.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice building, comfortable rooms, excellent location. Good value for money :)
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean and serviced double bedroom. Good size. Clean towels provided. Bedroom had large window for ventilation making it airy and nice to hear the seagulls. Handy little wardrobe and space for bags and things.
Cons: Good location, but the alley ouside the hotel does smell really bad and lots of rubbish. Luckily we stayed in a double bedroom on the 3rd floor. The hotel should remove the door in the hallway to make the shared bathroom feel more accessible to both rooms. Should put shower head up on bracket as it is currently hand held. On the plus side the bathroom was clean and only shared with one other bedroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful french bed and romantic room, ideal for couples. We were really satisfied with everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Only there for the night. The city was amazing(dont understand why game of thrones isnt mentioned anywhere) the host was friendly, beds were comfortable. Breakfast incredible. It says somewhere there isnt a sign due to getting permission. There is now. Look out for Bob's music that's your turning. Thanks.
Cons: Little tricky to find if you a dumba$$ like me

Pros: A little gem. Excellent location, right in the heart of the medina but on a quiet cul-de-sac. Perfect base for exploring beautiful Essaouira. Rooms are large and comfortable with lovely oriental touches. The landlady is lovely and helpful. No hesitation booking it again when I go back.
Cons: No problems. It is not a luxurious hotel with all the services, but one comes to Essaouira for the city not for all-in-package sea side resort. My bathroom was outside the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: we had an amazing stay in dar latigeo. adeline was extremely friendly and was very helpfull with any questions we had. the rooms are nice and the (shared) bathroom is very clean. beisdes that, essaouira is a lovely city and dar latigeo is right in the middle of it.
7.0 Good
Pros: The french lady whom i can´t remember the name is such a good hostess!! Really cool ambient , even that by the door you can´t have the real idea of the neat ambient you are gonna find inside. Usual in marroquian lodgements.Really worthless!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful bedroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly welcome to a fine, small, boutique hotel by new owner Adeline - nothing was too much trouble. Hotel very central, so better than two other hotels I have stayed in in Essaouira before and extremely good value indeed. Copious, varied breakfast - open to suggestions/ requests. Own keys so free to come and go. Could not fault the hotel or any aspect of its running at all and I shall certainly come agazin whenever I come here again, and, as it is a favopurite spot, that may be in a couple of months. Highly recommended. Thanks to Booking.com for finding it for me.
Cons: Everything was absolutely fine. No possible reason to dislike anything, let alone complain.

Pros: The owners couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The room was gorgeous, quiet, airy, the breakfast delicious and we really were made to feel welcome. They made our stay special.
Cons: They could have given us a key for the outside door so that they didn't have to open it for us each time we returned to the hotel.

Cons: Nothing :)

Pros: Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed orange juice and omelette very much. The staff was very friendly for us. When I lost way to riad, on of them helped to return. The riad itself is authentic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Definitely the best place we booked on our trip in Morocco. We got the room we reserved and it was perfect. Monumental roof top view, excellent position and really friendly and helpfull staff. And clean room and good wifi too. We prolonged our stay for one night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Central location, nice fresh continental breakfast, pleasant staff, cleanliness, typical Moroccan setting, great value for money
Cons: Light in room could of been a little brighter. No fault of Riad but kids played football in streets until gone 10pm - noisy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All in all, this place has been our best in Morocco in these two weeks. We were on the.top.room, with loads of light, next to a.really nice.common room where we had breakfast. The rooftop terrace is amazing, with the best views of all Eassaouira. It is perfectly located. The value for money is superb. Staff are so nice and.fri3ndly. Cannot recommend more!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Riad is excellent located and the room was oriental, redish with good wifi, good water pressure but the brilliance of the Riad is its terrace with a view of the ocean and flying and roaring sea gulfs. It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good portion and fresh each morning with coffee and orange juice but each day the same. Considering the available dairy products and variety of fruits in Morocco I would have liked having more variety of breakfast.
Cons: I wanted to have tea and breakfast on the terrace which I each time I asked I had an awkward feeling that the staff was not happy with that even though I was ready to take breakfast myself upstairs and to pay for additional tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! Lovely, calm and perfect located to explore the city. Great breakfast and very nice personal! Also a great roof terrace with a stunning view.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The riad is very beautiful and perfectly located !
Cons: Our room was on the street and we couldn't sleep until 4 am because of the loudness of the neighbours
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff in a quiet part of town. Very close to a nice small square with great food.
Cons: Quite a loud Riad with being woken up a few times in the night.

Pros: Location- close to the beach , pool, view from the roof, view from the restaurant.
Cons: We extended our stay, but had to change rooms, unfortunately Television didn’t work in the second room. The restaurant at the top was very good, but a bit expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Ryad with beautiful pool and nice rooms.
Cons: The WiFi was a little spotty but still manageable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place was service plus. Staff excellent, food was the best in 2 weeks so delicious. I would recommend you eat at restaurants even if not staying at hotel, it was really good food and service. Yum yum yum.
Cons: Couldn't fault it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, great pool, helpful staff and excellent room.
Cons: It's about a 20 minute walk from the medina, this might bug some people.
7.0 Good
Pros: It is kond of a big french hotel. Not very friendly and a bit poch. It misses the typical marrocan warmth and friendlyness. But good swimming pool and clean. Just if you look for a friendly cost and family like plase ot os not it. Also not that calm.
Cons: Not so calm Not so friendly and warm. Bit commercial and poch.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was our first experience in a Riad and it was worthy. Nice, clean and a quite big room with ensuite bathroom, which has got a huge shower. Even if the hotel were almost full there was no rush or noise. Breakfast was good in a French style. I would like to highlight their pool which is a decent size and super clean, around the pool there is a lot of loungers. Definitely, recommend.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Originally we had booked a standard and a premium room. We were a little disappointed with the premium room as it seemed the same as the standard room, but with an extra bed. We upgraded to a mini suite which was much much better. Two separate showers, and two distinct areas, sleeping and lounge. I would recommend you do the same for the little extra. The Riad itself is charming and beautiful. We previously stayed at Villa Quieta around the corner, which is probably a little more grand, but Riad Zahra is much better value for what you get and I personally loved the feel of it. The pool is fabulous. Very large, and plently of room around it, and with a veranda overlooking it. There is also an undercover area with chairs/sofas if you don't want to be in the sun. There is parking in the shade outside. Best of all are the owners and the staff. The owners are incredibly nice and friendly and even helped us out with all the paperwork when we had a little motoring "issue". Out breakfast waiter was also very helpful and genial.
Cons: As said, we didn't think the premium rooms were that premium, but for a little extra, the suites are well worth it. No cereals provided for breakfast, and could have done with some ham or cheese, but other than that, there was plenty of choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing! Xavier and his wife make us feel like dear guests at their home. Also the restaurants were the best we had in Marocco!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, good breakfast, a large selection of dishes, qualified service, very nice owners.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place! Run by a lovely family who are ever present ensuring guests are catered for. Spacious and clean with a great pool/poolside facilities. Great food/selection 'downstairs' bar and pool area with roof restaurant also. Easy walk or just a short taxi (10 MAD) ride to Medina and just minutes from ocean, beach and whatever you want to do. http://www.riadzahra.com/
Cons: Having to leave ;)

Pros: Absolutely wonderful place. The room, the Riad itself, the staff and the food. 10 out of 10 all over. We did not use the hammam or massage, we save that for our next stay with Casa Lila & spa. We will be back for sure!
Cons: There was nothing we did not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality, room size, decor, heating, location, food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa treatment was an absolutely great experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were charm personified and such a pleasure to be around with their warm welcomes and their ready smiles. The hotel itself was very comfortable and if there was anything we needed, we had only to ask and it was provided. The location was also perfect for our purposes as we wanted to take our time strolling around the Medina without having to think about transport and other logistics. Being right in the heart of the Medina, all we wanted was right on our doorstep .. literally! A great bonus was the atmosphere created by being in the town with just the hum of people going about their lives down on the street ..and the crowing of cockerels in the distance: very peaceful and SO much nicer than the sound of cars or other engines! We also loved listening to the calls to prayer as they drifted across the house tops.
Cons: Nothing!
4.5 Okay
Pros: It was in the Medina
Cons: They charged us twice... they said: you have to pay your stay cash not via booking and we did. Now after the vacation booking.com charged us again and suddenly they didn’t remember. Disgusting. And: they gave us wrong bill what we realised at home... So 1000 Diham for nothing. NEVER EVER AGAİN
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our trip here was wonderful. It felt so personal and friendly, as it's a boutique hotel you really felt cared for. The room was huge and beautiful (we had a suite) just could of done with a few paint touch ups here and there. We had two treatments and each was fabulous, I would recommend the full body (and I mean full body, face, hands and feet included) casa Lila massage which was so relaxing!!! Breakfast was served on the terrace and was delightful and that sums up our experience really. We also had dinner one night and the chicken tagine was amazing! Best food in Essaouira by far. The meal was only €15 each for three courses and was delicious with good service. I couldn't recommend a stay here enough, you won't regret it!
Cons: We were woken in the morning by the breakfast prep if we hadnt fully closed all windows and the decor just needs a bit of work, but really they were tiny minor things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole atmosphere.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, nice rooms, friendly staff.
Cons: Lobby smelled like sewage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this Riad! Ancient building restored lovingly with antiques and hand painters accents. Beautiful soothing rooms in the heart of the Médina. Excellent recommendations for restaurants, shops and sights!
Cons: No one could possibly complain about this place!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Essouira medina is quite small, the riad is in the middle, in a very good location. The staff was friendly and spoke in English as well. Provide help to print boarding pass for upcoming flight. It was clean, and there was cleaning every day. The breakfast was fine, 3 jams, some butter, pancake, pita bread, a few scrambled eggs (made on the spot), yogurt or fruits, coffee and tea.
Cons: The room rates are okay, worth the money, but the dinner and the spa seemed a little expensive.

Pros: Laid back staff ... but maybe too laid back. We came back one evening at 11 pm and no one was around and we had to get our key ourselves from the office (luckily we found it!) Other than that beautiful space and it has been family owned since 2002. Great breakfast, great tea, funky vibe. Well located (though most places are well located.) Off the main street, so quiet as well.

Pros: I love everything: The service The location The peoples are working there.
Cons: None

Pros: Good location, nice breakfast.

Pros: It's a family run beautiful riad and Yousef's family is very friendly, helping and kind. In the very heart of the medina its location is great. The breakfast is also really good. Essaouira itself is a lovely city with very nice people. A must visit.

Pros: This is a family-run riad and everyone was wonderfully nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied over the two days we stayed. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Decor was cute and bohemian-style.
Cons: Bathrooms are very small.

Pros: Hosts were absolutely terrific and helpful. Location was great, staff was terrific, room was nice. Room was dusty and had not been fully cleaned. If you have allergies, I'd consider going elsewhere.
Cons: Room was dusty and had not been fully cleaned. If you have allergies, I'd consider going elsewhere.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing, the dining experience was awesome, the little nooks and cranies were gorgeous.
Cons: We booked a superior seaview room, had to put our head outside the window to see a glimpse of the ocean. The shower dribbled, just dribbled with hot and cold water intermittently. No pressure. The hammam was a waste of money and time. Paid for a couple oriental hammam, one girl did the two of us. One waited while the other was left wet and getting cold. She then left us not knowing when they were coming back, it was 10 minutes. Our daughter had the same treatment after us and said it hadnt been cleaned and with no heat and had been left waiting for 10 minutes also, wet and cold. The massage was conducted with noisy shoes during the therapy and felt like cats paws on my back, no pressure. No fridges or coffee making facilities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location, within the medina, was superb. Very short walk to the beach. Hotel felt like an old-fashioned hotel in terms of its warmth and a family run atmosphere. We came across 3 female staff members who had worked there between 22- 29 years and all seemed happy employees. Their bouyant energy rubbed off nicely. The interior of the hotel was lovely with lots of fascinating nooks and crannies. The evening meal had a wonderful ambience: Unique private rooms with romantic decor, candle light, and excellent world music playing. You're waited upon by a special host who was charming. The two rooms we experienced both enjoyed lots of natural light and I think they get the interior decor right. Breakfast was very pleasant in the morning sunlight. Every part of the breakfast was well prepared and with good quality ingredients. One of the managers, Mehdi, deserves special mention. He was a warm and courteous man who made the effort to connect with all of his guests. We had two special requests which he had postively responded to. His efforts to accommodate us were genuinely appreciated.
Cons: Although the rooms were excellent, it was a bit odd that (i) the room contains no phone and (ii) there was no basic information in a folder that guides one as to how the place works (ie. logistics).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast on the roof was amazing. The entire ambiance of the hotel was wonderful. I loved it and think of it fondly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Villa Maroc were friendly, kind, respectful and helpful. The place is minimal, unassuming, comfortable, charming elegance at its finest. Be sure to have dinner at the hotel also! It was wonderful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, fantastic location. This is an iconic establishment that has a landmark for the past 20 years. We returned 14 years later and the experience was as good as it was in 2005!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was authentic and delicious .... and Fatima an absolute pleasure !!
Cons: Cant think of anything i did not like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, superb food and overall very charming. Each room is unique and there is a lot of attention to detail. Excellent location as well. Fatima has been there for 25 years, she’s outstanding and did a great job of making us feel at home
Cons: Black out curtains on the terrace level would be appreciated. Also if there is a way to better insulate the rooms from the loud morning prayers at 6am, that would great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about my stay
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Thirty-something here. Very "upscale moroccan cottage chic". Very spacious, bright room. Good location in the medina, AND to the beach. Upstairs terrace was nice for an evening drink, or morning coffee.
Cons: Breakfast is typical of all breakfast we had in morocco- lovely. It was not any more special than any other breakfasts elsewhere. Servers were courteous. Limited English for the staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully located just inside the medina though a little tricky to find initially after negotiating the parking hucksters. Rooms laid out well and the restoration is sympathetic without being too fussy. Drinks at the bar are refreshingly moderately priced compared to other places pitched at a comparable level though food seemed pricey (we went out in search of grilled seafood). Staff are generally pleasant and helpful though not empowered with too much initiative.
Cons: Breakfast was nice but seemed limited. We eventually discovered why. For some reason, we were not offered the eggs and cheese, olives and tomato plate that other tables received, which were the main event. Staff were not around to ask and by the time we realised, we had filled up on bread and were ready to go. Not a big deal but annoying at the price especially as the front desk just shrugged it off when reported later. The bathroom was small but nicely designed except for a protruding shelf with a sharp corner which was a real hazard - it could easily be repositioned or modified and this was sympathetically noted by the front desk.

Cons: The price paid is much higher than the price quoted by booking.com

Pros: The building itself was stunning, the staff was attentive to every need and it was a relaxing oasis compared to the activity that was found outside. The only drawback was that the restaurant price-point was too high.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: good selection at breakfast excellent dinner Spa treatments good quality
Cons: our room smelt damp
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Pool area amazing, good lunch too. Live music each night was a great treat.
Cons: In the land of a million lovely carpets, not one in our room, which made it feel a bit cold. Also, wifi was slow and would disconnected frequently. TV only had a handful of channels ( no cable or satellite.) No fridge in room. Also, they charged for mint tea (4$).... Out of the 10 hotels we stayed in Morroco, no one charged for mint tea...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Relais chateaux, the staff were superb, the room was perfect. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was excellent, with apero in the bar beforehand. Lovely breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff, we had left our passports in the room safe and they were able to contact us shortly after our departure to inform us. They quickly organized delivery of our passports at our next location.
Cons: We thought the hotel was in need of updating its style, needs a bit more modern style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab location just on the edge of the medina. Superb service, the staff couldn’t do enough to help. Food was beautiful, all tastes catered for. Great recommendations for restaurants etc
Cons: Very windy, take warm clothes for evening
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is one of those rare hotels with a soul, a place where you instantly feel good and at home. There is a definite relaxing, colonial feel to the hotel and a great attention for detail: We loved the decoration, the patio, the club style bar, the rooms, the rooftop terrace, it was all truely outstanding and only surpassed by the friendliness of the staff, from the reception to housekeeping, the restaurant, the pool and even the manager who takes the time to talk to all the guests. Last special mention for the breakfast buffet that was lovely. We had planned to only stay for one night but could not leave and stayed another. The location was great, right inside the medina. Thank you for a great stay...
Cons: You need a lot of imagination to find things not to like. Maybe that it's a bit difficult to find but well worth looking for.

Pros: We had a lovely stay at the Riad. The Riad has beautiful decorations and very friendly staff. The room was big and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.
Cons: Instead of handing out keys of the front door, they just leave the door open.

Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was on the third floor with our own private terrace and sun trap so it was quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly, continental breakfast was good. Great for a stopover while seeing the city of Essaouira
Cons: It could do with a little work to refresh the rooftop terrace outside our room. Rest of Riad was lovely however
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality of the staff was extraordinary. Immediately I felt very well in this riad. It’s located in a perfect spot, close to everywhere. It’s beautiful inside and one can feel relaxed sitting in the main hall among lovely plants and listening to some chilling music playing in the background.
Cons: I did not mind, but my friend did not like that there was an open window between our bathroom and the hall which let all the noises out to the hall. He said he did not feel comfortable. But like I said before, for me it was totally fine.

Pros: Location Breakfast was good
Cons: Needs refurbishment Very hard to climb up the stairs with luggage Not enough shampoo and shower gel I ran out after first shower
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very centrally located, this unique silver screen-themed accommodation with a restaurant/bar downstairs is a real treat. We stayed at the top floor apartment with a nice terrace, also having access to the huge roof terrace with splendid views equipped with chairs, tables, deckchairs and even a double bed (the roof terrace is accessible to all accommodated guests). The nice and homely restaurant-bar downstairs serves breakfast, drinks and food (wine and beer available) and also functions as a small "cinema" screening a film each evening (hence, the name). The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated with cinematographic, as well as traditional Moroccan, artifacts. Bed sheets and towels covered in rose petals, together with the classy feel of the apartment and the terrace, make you feel treated with luxury. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money.
Cons: The breakfast is a little monotone, but we got this type of breakfast all around Morocco, so it is nothing unusual.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Maison du Cinéma has a unique style, The heart of Morocco lives in every small detail with Alberto's personal touch. The room, the hall are both powerful and romantic. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Essaouira or visit it. The cineforum that Alberto organizes in the hall room are the perfect ending of the intenses days, and the dinners are excellents. I can't be more happy for the unique experience and sad for the short time I could spend there!! Thank you Alberto!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: position , hotel dedicated to the cinema ( nice rooms )with possibility to see film in the night , good breakfast
Cons: not good hydraulics in bathroom , necessary to improve ( or to change ) the bathroom towels
6.8 Good
Pros: Location and movie nights.
Cons: I booked here 2 years ago, i was very impressed...but this time i was very disappointed with the state of the room. It needs serious renovation!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Eccentric small movie themed hotel with nightly film screenings. It's well-located in the Medina but that is a really spot in the evening. The action keeps going all night so I wouldn't recommend this for light sleepers. Staff were all charming and kind. Breakfast was nice with lots of breads; I could have done with an egg or two. I would recommend for a stop stay.
Cons: Bathroom was bit grotty and furniture a bit on the rough side. No sound insulation between rooms, floors or the outside and no air conditioning.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The features were nice inside
Cons: The location it was too inside and no car access . Very noisy at night
